4-H Club Program Ideas Updated August 2009 Here is a brief listing of ideas that you can do within your 4-H club year. You and your club members do not have to follow this list, it is just a tool to help you in brainstorming what your club members would like to participate in. The main thing to keep in mind when planning your club year is that you have suggestions from the club members to help in the planning and even implementation of the activity or event. Note: Names, places and availability are subject to change.

Attention 4-H Club Leaders:

We have over 100 projects to choose from within our 4-H curriculum. If you are having trouble finding projects to do with your club members...pick a topic and do an activity within the curriculum. We want to make 4-H as much HANDS-ON LEARNING as possible. Remember we want 4-H’ers to learn life skills that are based in experimental learning while having fun. The 4-H program also has a check-out system of books, manuals, etc. that you can use to help you design programs for your club meetings. Let us know if you would like to check a book out of our “library”… we would love to help you in planning, so please feel free to call us for suggestions! (List of resources from our 4-H library is attached) Thanks for all you do! Alaina Bloodworth, Extension 4-H Agent Tanya Heath Extension 4-H Agent
