ABOUT THIS REVIEW This is Morrisons eighth Corporate Responsibility (CR) Review. It reports on our food businesses and progress from our financial year (52 weeks ending 2 February 2014 unless otherwise stated).
This Review shares some of our work over the last financial year and highlights how we bring together all of those things. There’s a great deal of information, but it’s only a fraction of what we do day in day out. I hope that particularly for our customers it gives you an insight into what goes on behind the simple words and numbers on the receipt. Of course, now our receipts also come in electronic form when you buy your groceries online... and this has some benefits (see page 42). Steven Butts Head of Corporate Responsibility

Behind the words and numbers printed on every till receipt there is a story. Where your products come from, what they contain, the resources needed to create them, how we make, buy, move or sell them to you, how much they cost, how the place where you bought them operates and connects to you and your community. It’s all there in black and white. We know that our customers care about quality, service and value but they also care about provenance and responsible sourcing, nutrition, welfare, environmental and ethical issues. Our customers and our wider stakeholders rightly expect us to take care on their behalf as we go about our business.
