Thank you for Getting Elfie for St Ann’s Get Elfie is all about having fun whilst raising money for a fantastic cause. St Ann’s Hospice is a charity which provides free care to people from across Greater Manchester with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. By getting involved you really will be making a huge difference to the lives of local people at a special time of the year. “I will never forget the total focus on my mum and her family – nothing was too much trouble and all was explained.”*

How you can Get Elfie This pack is full of ideas to get you going, and activity pages which can be photocopied and used widely. As well as these ideas and activities, please feel free to do something a little different which works for your group, organisation or school.

The Get Eflie Five Step Plan: • Decide on your Get Elfie event or activity • Choose your date, time and venue • Advertise your Get Elfie event - don’t forget to photocopy and use the posters in this pack, and use #getelfie on social media • Have lots of Elfie fun at your event! Use some of our Elfie activities in this pack or get your supplies from us to boost your fundraising • After your event, collect all the money you’ve raised and send it to us at the hospice. You can either pop into one of our hospice sites, call us on 0161 498 3631 to make a payment over the phone, or post us a cheque made payable to St Ann’s Hospice. Elfie Dress Up Days

Get Fit and Elfie • Hold an Elfie Dash – simply a race with the competitors dressed as “Elf-letes” • Go to, or run, an exercise class? Why not hold one where all the participants dress as elves? • Do a sponsored Elf-walk, skip, jump – anything active! If you don’t want to dress up, why not just wear Elfie hats which you can order from us?

The Big Elfie Quiz Use the quiz sheet included in this pack to hold a special Elfie quiz - charge £1 to enter, dress up or get your hats from us, and perhaps hold a raffle and sell cakes to boost your fundraising total.

Elfie Movie Marathon Turn your board room, class room, staff room or even your living room into a cinema, and show “Elf” or your favourite Christmas film. Charge a small entry fee and sell snacks and drinks, just like going to the movies!

Elfie Selfies It’s simple and will give your friends a giggle and hopefully see them taking part too! Just take a selfie dressed as an elf, post it on social media with the hashtag #myelfieselfie and text ELFE15 £3 to 70070 to donate £3 to St Ann’s.

Get your Elfis on! We’d love to see your best ‘Elfis’ impressions. Get singing your favourite Elvis tune whilst wearing an Elfie hat and put your videos on your social media pages with the hashtag #getelfie Don’t forget to text ELFE15 £3 to 70070 to donate £3 to St Ann’s and encourage your friends to do the same!

Pick a the name of the Elfie and keep it secret! Sell each square for £1, and when they’re all taken, reveal the winner. You could give a cash prize (25% of the takings) or provide something festive as a prize.

Colour in your Elfie

Why not hold an Elfie colouring-in competition with a small entry fee and a prize for the best one? Just photocopy the colouring-in sheet as many times as you need it.

Elfie mask

Use your Elfie mask for your Elfie dash, dress up day or any other Elfie activity. Just photocopy it as many times as you need, then cut out Elfie’s face, attach elastic or string and your mask is ready to go!
