Main events of the Congress Program 1. Opening Ceremony of the Congress – the event which opens the Congress, where Russia as a hosting country can demonstrate the cultural heritage – the best and deepest images of art, theatre, architecture, literature, language and traditions of our multinational culture. A unique system of informal education of children, including institutions of informal education, camps and centers are considered to be a part this heritage. Informal education is a focus area of the realization of opportunities and interests of a child, his interests and hopes. 2. Panel discussion “New look to the children’s camp: challenges and opportunities” will open a business program of the Congress. Representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, Governance of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, International Camping Fellowship, and National Camp Association of Russia, representatives of civil society, professional and academic community will take part in the discussion. The problem area of the Congress and the main content areas of work will be discussed in the context of the panel discussion. Between them – mission, strategy, values of a camp in the modern conditions; partnership and resources; HR-related issues of the organization of children’s leisure; camp as an area of socialization of a child; quality management of the leisure and recreation system; innovative models, technologies, methods, forms of the organization of leisure and recreation of children and youth; children and teenagers of the modern world as the main subjects of the education process in a camp area. These themes will be observed and discussed during the days of the Congress. 3. Exhibition “Partnership and resources” – educational and interactive field of the Congress, where different resources used in the organizations of children’s leisure and recreation in Russia, international camp movement. Exhibition participants will be children’s goods manufacturers, Russian informative resources, children’s leisure and recreation organizers, federal children’s center’s representatives. In general in the exhibition will be demonstrated modern achievements of Russia in a camp movement, variety of organizations, programs and models in a leisure and recreation area in Russia. The exhibition will become a unique center of business contacts, conference venue, where participants will have an opportunity to exchange their experiences in the area of organization of work with youth, their own researches, to discuss perspectives and plans of teamwork, to conclude agreements of cooperation. 4. Russian craft’s fair “Keeping the traditions alive” – a unique area of the Congress, which gives an opportunity from one hand to get acquainted with the folk crafts of the region of Russia, which hosts the Congress – Krasnodar territory – it is a single subject of the Russian Federation where accepted the law to support the folk crafts. 40 folk masters of the cities and regions of the Krasnodar territory will demonstrate their works there. From the other hand the participants of the Congress will have an opportunity to get to know the educational techniques and methods of work, which involve teenagers in the world of folk culture and genetic memory. Folk crafts are a part of culture which connects the generations. How to build this connection and support it – participants will know when take part in workshops of Kuban masters of 6

different areas of decorative and applied arts: smith craft, patchwork, folk dolls, wood carving, platting of the straw, hammering and folk toys, etc. 5. Children’s Gala concert “Music – a universal language of the world” will demonstrate the features and opportunities of work with talented and gifted children in the area of musical arts. This area is well spread in the leisure and recreation area: field-oriented camps of arts, special programs oriented to the support of talented and gifted children in the different areas of art and technical work. Music will be in the focus of attention this evening: by cultural, national and linguistic variety of the participants of the Congress, music is a unique language which can understand every person in the world. Music embodies the highest examples of the world culture and keeps the culture of peace, which is very important in our trouble time. 6. Inspirational presentations of the Russian and international speakers — specific form of work of the Congress. Famous scientists, politicians, sportsmen, cosmonauts and public men whose opinion is very important and authoritative, whose inspirational ideas can become a guide in the development of new projects and programs in work with children and youth, will share their vision, ideas and thoughts about mission of modern camp, content refreshment of its educational area, social partnership in the name of children of the world. 7. Interactive platforms of the federal state educational children's Centres “Orlyonok”, “Okean”, “Smena” and international Centre “Artek”. Federal children’s centers today are considered to be experimental grounds, Russian methodic centers, where methods and technologies in work with children in camps are developing and intruding. On the basis of the federal children’s centers several thousands of young teachers are getting trainings annually. After practical experience they come back to regions and use knowledge and skills in the regional children’s leisure and recreation organizations. Because of this reason the federal children’s centers are ready to share their successful experiences and best practices in work with children in a camp area with all interested people and to discuss possible joint projects and programs. 8. Business visits to the educational Centre “Sirius” and children’s educational organizations of Sochi – specific internships, which enable participants of the Congress to get acquainted with experience of work with talented and gifted children exactly in organizations, evaluate their educational area, growing points and areas where improvements can be made. Participants of the Congress also can communicate with children and their teachers in informal area. 9. Workshops “Mosaic of a camp area”, where Russian and international experts in a camp area will pass ―from hand to hand‖ the best methods and technologies of work with children, will share experiences of the development and realization of successful programs and projects, will demonstrate the models of camp sessions which can be used in other camps. 10. Grand plain-air “We draw happiness together” – Congress area, where the focus will be in plain-air painting, music and word. Listening the music and famous leading Russian literature works all together in one creative process participants of the Grand plain-air will paint their own picture of the world on linen. 11. Cultural and educational tours enable to get acquainted participants with attractions of Krasnodar territory and Sochi.
