WUWHS 2016 OBJECTIVES The objective of the Italian candidature was not limited to the organization of the Congress in 2016. The prestigious role of organizing the V Congress will be the starting point for Italian societies, in collaboration with and fully coordinated by the Administration of the WUWHS (World Union of Wound Healing Society), to design and implement plans aimed at the consolidation of the role of WUWHS as a key scientific benchmark of global relevance. A strengthened role of WUWHS will include offering support and coordination to research on a planetary level as well as enhancing connections and synergies for WUWHS societies, both nationally and internationally. The V Congress will, therefore, be a milestone in a large-scale process of universal strengthening and consolidation of WUWHS.
