need people who can do the crafts behind the scenes for some of the programs. We want our teachers and caregivers to love children and to want to serve! In addition, to work directly with children, one needs to go through the Childcare Training Class, which is held every first Sunday during the brunch. People working with children and youth need to be members for six months, or regular attenders for one year. After going through the class, you fill out an application and will be interviewed by Herb Smith. You will need to go through screening as well. We would love to have you bless our programs even as you are being blessed by the children! Contact Elane Cross at [email protected] if you would like to help.

WM Fellowship Events Summer Soirées Held three times throughout the summer, these are lovely times of informal fellowship, music, and more. They are hosted by different New Life women and each one is themed differently, with a short devotion given each time. The purpose is to promote relationships among the women at church and to maintain connections through the summer break. Christmas Ornament Exchange 1st or 2nd Monday in December. Dinner begins at 5:45 pm.

about becoming part of this fun and important ministry to the couples of New Life. 760-532-1747, [email protected]. Shower Ministry New Life hosts four showers a year, two Baby (first time moms only) and two Bridal. One of each is held in the Fall and again in the Spring. This is a lovely way to show support and love for our honorees and a chance for all the women to get to know each other better. A devotional is given along with fellowship time before and after. There are no individual gifts, however you may contribute to the group gift by donating to the “church showers fund.” We are presently looking for a new coordinator.

Come join us for a fun fellowship night that includes dinner. Each woman brings along a dessert to share, and a $5-$10 ornament to exchange. This is a favorite annual event, and signups fill up fast. Don’t miss it! If you would like to help with any of the preparations, contact Karen Lenhert at [email protected] or 760443-9955. [4]

1. Misión Vida Nueva is our sister church to the Escondido Hispanic community. Each Christmas we gather new, wrapped toys to distribute to those families being ministered to by Misión Vida Nueva. For selected Sundays in December, a large box will be in the foyer to collect donations. The Coordinator would contact the pastor who then comes to pick up all the wrapped toys before Christmas. 2. Alternative Pregnancy Center is a pro-life organization in Escondido that appreciates our gifts each December of diapers and clothes for new born infants. A second box will be in the foyer to collect new baby gifts. The Coordinator would deliver these gifts directly to the center. WM Fellowship Events Summer Soirées Held three times throughout the summer, these are lovely times of informal fellowship, music, and more. They are hosted by different New Life women and each one is themed differently, with a short devotion given each time.

need people who can do the crafts behind the scenes for some of the programs.
