2012 Women’s Ministry Leadership Forum Break-Out Leaders Bios CHRIS ADAMS Chris is Senior Lead Women’s Ministry Specialist at LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to her employment at LifeWay in December 1994, Chris was the special ministries coordinator at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas coordinating women’s ministry and missions education. She is an ongoing guest teacher at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary’s Women’s Certificate Program, where she received her undergraduate degree in Christian Ministry from the seminary’s Leavell College. Chris has been a consultant, speaker and conference leader in a variety of church and denominational roles. She is a contributor and guest editor of Journey, and compiled Women Reaching Women: Beginning and Building a Growing Women’s Ministry and Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level. In 2008, Chris received the Career of Excellence award at LifeWay. She is a wife, mother of twin daughters, and grandmother of 7.

LIZETTE BEARD Lizette coordinates research projects for LifeWay Research on topics such as multi-site church, mega church growth, church planting, small groups, discipleship, and outreach to first generation immigrants. She is actively involved with the development of their online assessment tools such as www.TransformationalChurch.com and www.ChurchPlanterAssessment.com. She was also the project manager for the church planting project Ed Stetzer did with Leadership Network in 2006 and 2007. Lizette's ministry background also includes designing and developing websites for church plants. ANGELA COTTRELL Angela is a wife and mom who is in love with Jesus and desires an intimate and authentic relationship with Him. She has a heart for prayer and has facilitated a weekly prayer gathering in her home for nine years. In her spare time, Angela loves to read, study the Bible on her computer, and shop at thrift stores. Mostly, Angela is a woman who is desperate for God to break into her life and show Himself huge. Her husband, Travis Cottrell, is the worship pastor at Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, TN and also leads worship for Beth Moore’s Living Proof Live conferences. Angela and Travis have been married for 17 years, with most of that time spent in ministry, leading worship and writing music together. Their three greatest collaborations are their children: Jack (13), Lily (10), and Levi (7).

KAREN ALEXANDER DOYEL Karen is a speaker and conference leader from Lenoir City, Tennessee, and a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. She was married to Dr. Douglas R. Alexander, former pastor of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City, until his untimely death a few years ago. They served in ministry in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Ohio and Tennessee. Karen established and led women’s ministries in each church she attended and writes and teaches Bible studies. She especially has a heart for ministers’ wives, and wants to help them love their special calling in ministry. Karen is married to Jim Doyel and is the mother of three grown sons and grandmother of two.

STEPHANIE EDGE Stephanie is the Director of Women’s Ministry at Poplar Heights Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee, a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier, and an Associate Professor at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. She graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. She also received an Advanced Women’s Ministry Certificate, as well as completed a Th.M. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Christian Education. She has a passion for God’s Word and enjoys ministering to women.

LAUREN FARMER Lauren serves as an Event Project Coordinator for LifeWay Women Training and Events. She is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where she received a Masters of Divinity in Women’s Leadership. During her time in Louisville, she served as interim Associate Director of Student Life and instructor of Christian Education at Boyce College, the undergraduate school of The Southern Seminary. Lauren has a passion for reaching and equipping young women.

KATHY FERGUSON Kathy lives in Mobile, AL with her husband Ed Litton in their not so normal life crafted by God. Both lost former spouses in car accidents, Rick Ferguson and Tammy Litton. God has navigated her journey in meeting Christ as a child, marrying a young preacher boy, 26 years of adventure with him and three wonderful children. God’s grace empowered her in grief, loss and constant life change. His goodness provided love and life with another pastor husband. Twice a pastor’s wife, once a church staff member, now National Consultant for the North American Mission Board for Ministry to Pastor’s Wives.

KAYE GEIGER Kaye is married to Eric, Vice President, LifeWay Church Resources Division. They live with their two sweet and sassy little girls (Eden, 4 and Evie, 2) in Nashville. Kaye and Eric have served in fulltime ministry in several capacities throughout their 15 years of marriage. They have a heart for loving people and ministering to pastors and their wives.

PAM GIBBS Pam serves as the Girls' Ministry Specialist at LifeWay Christian Resources, in Nashville, Tennessee, where she coordinates the efforts of LifeWay to meet the needs of teen girls and those who work with them. A native of Texas, Pam joined LifeWay in 1999 and designed and edited girls' Bible studies until she took on the role of specialist. A frequent conference speaker and retreat leader, Pam is the author of four books, Designed by God, Complete (co-written by Mike Wakefield), Girl Talk: The Power of Your Words, and Esther: The Role of a Lifetime. She is also a contributor to various magazines. When she's not hanging out with her husband Jim and daughter Kaitlyn, Pam is usually curled up with a good book and some dark chocolate.

DARREL GIRARDIER Darrel is currently a Creative Director at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, TN. He manages the creative direction for all of LifeWay's events from Womens Events to Fuge Camps. Darrel blogs at darrelg.com and is married to the brilliant Amy-Jo, who is a Girls Minister, writer and one of the funniest people alive.

PAIGE GREENE Paige joined LifeWay in January 2006 as Director of Women’s Events. In that role, the North Carolina native is responsible for a staff of fifteen people who work to coordinate enrichment and training events for women. The Women’s Training & Events area coordinates events such as Living Proof Live with Beth Moore, Going Beyond with Priscilla Shirer, .mom, Abundance, and the YOULead Pre-conference training events for women’s ministry leaders. Before coming to LifeWay, Paige was Community Relations Manager for Operation Christmas Child at Samaritan’s Purse in Boone, N.C., the ministry led by evangelist Franklin Graham.

AMY HAYWOOD Amy is a graphic designer for LifeWay Christian Resources and founder of AH HA Creative, Amy Haywood is a graphic designer, blogger, and web designer. Designing print materials, branding for clients, and programming websites are just a few of her specialties. Outside of the design world she’s an amateur runner and enjoys living in Franklin, TN. JUDI JACKSON Judi is Coordinator of Women's Programs and Associate Dean of Students at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she teaches classes in women's ministry, sports and recreation ministry, and wellness. She is married to youth professor Allen Jackson and together they have two young adult children, Aaron and Sarah.

SAUNDRIA KECK Saundria is retired from LifeWay Christian Resources. While at LifeWay she served in the roles of editor, marketing manager, and managing director of Childhood Ministry Publishing. After retiring, she was contract editor on the Mom to Mom curriculum. She has also served on church staff. Presently Saundria leads the Mom to Mom Ministry at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, TN. She and her husband Lee have two grown children, Chad (Candace) and Leeanne (Russell), and four grandchildren: Hadley, Analayne, Shepherd, and Leighton. Saundria enjoys traveling with Lee, spending time with family (especially her grandchildren), writing, gardening, keeping a home, and "walking the journey" with moms, young and old.

DR. RHONDA H. KELLEY Rhonda is the President’s Wife at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is married to Dr. Chuck Kelley, President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Rhonda is now in full-time ministry - writing, speaking, and teaching. She currently serves as Professor of Women’s Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Associate Director of Innovative Evangelism. She coordinates the women’s ministry at her church, First Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. She is the author of several books including Life Lessons from Women of the Bible, A Woman’s Guide Bible Study series, Divine Discipline, and Raising Moms: Daughters Loving Their Mothers in the Later Years. She was the managing editor for the Woman’s Study Bible and is presently the co-editor of The Women’s Evangelical Library project by B&H Group.

JENNIFER LANDRITH Jennifer is the wife of David, who serves as the senior pastor at Long Hollow Baptist, Hendersonville, Tennessee, where they have been for 14 years. They have three children, Rachel, Sam and Josh. Jennifer serves on the Women’s Leadership team and teaches Bible studies for women in her church. She is a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier, conference leader helping ministers’ wives and co-authored the Bible study for ministers’ wives, In Our Shoes: Real Life Issues for Ministers’ Wives by Ministers’ Wives. She has been a minister’s wife for over 20 years and has a passion for encouraging other wives in ministry as they serve.

BETSY LANGMADE Betsy is the Lead Event Coordinator of Women’s Enrichment events at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, Tennessee. She has enjoyed working with women in varied ministry settings for almost 30 years. She spent many years coordinating women’s ministry in her local church and serving as LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. Betsy enjoys building relationships with women as she teaches and speaks at women’s conferences, retreats and events. Uniquely, she also has much experience on the planning side of large and small events, locally and nationally. She finds inexpressible joy in the moments she’s privileged to witness women encounter God in a personal way. On whatever side of the conference that God chooses to use her, Betsy pours her heart and soul into creating an environment where God can move. Spending time with David and her four children and one granddaughter is her greatest joy.

MARTHA LAWLEY Martha is an author, speaker and Bible study leader, and LifeWay Ministry Multiplier from Worland, Wyoming. She formerly served as the Women’s Consultant for the Utah-Idaho Southern Baptist Convention until her family moved to northern Wyoming. She contributed to the women’s leadership books, Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level, Revised and Expanded Edition and Women Reaching Women: Revised and Expanded Edition, published by LifeWay, and has written numerous articles for LifeWay’s Women’s Ministry web site. Martha is the author of the women's Bible study, Attending the Bride of Christ: Preparing for His Return, also available from LifeWay. She serves her local church in various areas of leadership and is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee.

RACHEL LOVINGOOD Rachel is the Next Generation Pastor’s wife and a women’s leader at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee, as well as a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. She co-authored the Bible study for ministers’ wives, In Our Shoes: Real Life Issues for Ministers’ Wives by Ministers’ Wives. She uses her passion for Christ, her energetic style and her sometimes crazy sense of humor to encourage and teach women to find the answers they need from the only true source of wisdom—the Bible. She is a wife (of a minister), a mom (of three fantastic kids), a friend, a writer, and a teacher. Her experiences working in youth ministry as well as women’s ministry in various churches across the country have developed in her a deep love for women and a mission to help enable them to live victoriously in spite of the struggles they face.

JAYE MARTIN Jaye is an author, speaker, consultant and the President of JM Leaders whose mission is to equip believers in evangelistic leadership through resources, trainings, and networking partnerships. Her newest venture is Gifted2go, resources aimed at helping to mobilize women to share Christ using their spiritual gifts. She most recently served as Director of Women’s Leadership at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She wrote the HeartCall women’s evangelism series of materials and served as women’s evangelism strategist at North American Mission Board for over 10 years. Previously, she was minister of evangelism, women, and prayer at Houston’s First Baptist Church, where she makes her home and now works as the preschool checkin lady. She is married to Dana and they have one daughter, Kelli. Jaye is the editor/compiler of three devotional books, author of several studies, and has chapters in Women Reaching Women as well as Transformed Lives. She is the co-author of Women Leading Women. MICKEY MCCLOUD Mickey is a proud native Oklahoman. She graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2010 with a major in Interpersonal Communication. She interned at LifeWay Christian Resources after graduation and thankfully, they let her stay! She has served the Women’s Training & Events team as a Department Assistant for the past year, and is now working as a Simulcast Coordinator Associate on the women’s team. As a single young adult woman, Mickey has a passion to see women her age find their place in the church and ways they can serve the Body.

LEIGHANN MCCOY Leighann is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is the senior pastor's wife at Thompson Station Church, Thompson Station, Tennessee, a mother of three, a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier and a writer and speaker. Currently, she serves on staff at Thompson Station Church as the prayer and women's minister, and is a frequent speaker at women's events and prayer conferences. Throughout her ministry, she has served in several denominational positions relating to children and women's ministries. She is the author of nine books, most recently being Spiritual Warfare for Women published by Bethany House.

SIMONE MONROE Simone is the Director of Women’s Ministries at Lake Pointe Church in Dallas, Texas, a Global Strategist for ProvenWay Ministries, and LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. As a speaker, conference leader, and freelance writer, she is also a member of the Association of Women’s Ministry Professionals. Simone has earned a Masters degree in Christian Leadership and a Certificate in Women’s Leadership from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her passion is teaching and developing women to fulfill their God-given potential. She enjoys presenting God's Word in a fresh and relevant way in order to encourage growth in the lives of her listeners. Her two sons, their wives, and her five grandchildren are the light of her life.

LINDA OSBORNE Linda Osborne serves as Director of Threads, LifeWay’s Young Adult Ministry. Linda leads a team of fabulous young adults in developing resources and events that assist churches in reaching a generation of people who are largely outside the church. Linda’s education includes a BS in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and the Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Linda lived life with college students for 21 years as a Baptist Collegiate Ministry Director on the campuses of Louisiana Tech University, Florida State University, and others before coming to LifeWay. Her favorite things in life are getting pedicures with 13 year old daughter, Julianna, and assisting 9 year old son, Evan, in taking care of Champ the bearded dragon, Cootie Bug the German Shepherd, and Marvin the miniature daschound.

GAYLA PARKER Gayla is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in Sociology and Social Work. She is a writer, retreat and conference speaer and author of Connections: A Daily Prayer Journal and Active Compassion. She serves as Woman’s Missionary Union Executive Director, Missions and Innovation Specialist and Missions Education Customization. Gayla is married to Freddy, and they have three children, Allen, Nathan and Jesse and two daughters-in-law, Alisha and Christian.

RICHARD PERRY Richard currently serves in Business Development for the WORDsearch team at LifeWay Christian Resources. He has been involved with the creation, development and training of Bible software for more than 20 years and annually conducts numerous workshops across the country. He has a passion for sharing how technology can be a powerful tool for the studying and sharing of the Gospel. He believes that technology can, and will, enhance ministry and change lives. Richard is committed to serving those who preach and teach the Word so they can more effectively reach others.

JEAN ROBERSON Jean is a product of Woman’s Missionary Union® (WMU®). Growing up in GA®s and participating heavily in missions, she also graduated from the Carver School of Church Social Work, which began as the WMU Training School in Louisville, Kentucky. Jean holds a master of social work and is licensed in the state of Alabama. Growing up in Missouri, her family now resides in Birmingham, including her husband, Darin, and her children, Drayton and Kassidi. Jean enjoys music, exercise, cooking, and laughing. She an currently serves as ministry consultant for national WMU.

TERRI STOVALL Terri is the Dean of Women’s Programs Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. She earned a Masters of Religious Education and a Doctor of Philosophy from Southwestern Seminary. As the Dean of Women’s Programs, Terri oversees the academic programs for women as well as the various women’s organizations on campus. She has served in Southern Baptist churches as women’s minister and minister of education. She is the co-author of Women Leading Women: The Biblical Model for the Church and a contributing author of The Teaching Ministry of the Church. Her heart and passion is to equip and enable women to reach women and families for Christ. She and her husband Jay currently live in Arlington, TX and enjoy motorcycling as well as traveling the country riding rollercoasters.

DEBBIE STUART Debbie serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, Texas, and is a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. She earned her Women's Ministry Advanced Certificate from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is a member of the Association of Women’s Ministry Professionals. In addition to being a conference and retreat speaker, and Bible study teacher, she was the founder and director of Network Extravaganza in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. She is married and has two young adult children.

TRISH SZYMANSKI Trish is a wife, mom, teacher, and as of the last 6 years, a Christian. She was born and raised in New Jersey and spent the first 33 years of her life as an atheist. After moving to Nashville, she became a Christian. She has a passion for the Word and loves to teach about the Bible from a chronological and historical perspective. Trish remembers what it was like to be lost and her insight into the hearts and minds of the unchurched is invaluable to those who are trying to reach out with the Gospel.

WENDY TAYLOR Wendy is the mom of four, and has #5 on the way...through adoption from Haiti. She loves investing in other moms through writing and speaking and hallway conversations, and is involved in ministering to moms at Long Hollow Baptist in Hendersonville, TN, where her husband Lance is the executive pastor.

SHEILA WEST Sheila has been involved in women’s ministry for over 25 years, serving as Director of Women's Ministry for over 20 years in the local church. She is presently on the Leadership Team for Heritage Community Church, Lady Lake, Florida, including coordinating women's ministry. She is the founder of Real Living Ministries, a speaking, teaching, and leadership development ministry to women. Sheila is also a contributing author to Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level, Revised and Expanded Edition. Sheila has appeared on numerous Christian radio and television broadcasts, including The 700 Club, and 100 Huntley Street. She is the author of Beyond Chaos, published by NavPress and is a LifeWay Ministry Multiplier. She and her husband, John, are the parents of two and proud grandparents of eight.
