Where Have Our Graduates Gone? Vanderbilt University Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency The residency program has been in existence since 1993 and has some 50+ graduates. We are pleased to provide information on PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residents that have completed residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As you can see, they are an impressive group and are already making a positive impact on our profession and the patients we serve.

Residency Class of 2013 Emily Bullington, PharmD After completing her PGY1, Emily accepted a position as a Surgical and Cardiothoracic ICU Evening Clinical Pharmacist at UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Juliana Kyle, PharmD Juliana is currently completing a PGY2 Transplant residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Amory Cox Scott, PharmD After completing her PGY1, Amory accepted a pharmacist position at Vanderbilt in the inpatient and operating room pharmacy areas, and is currently working to standardize the pharmacokinetics training program for staff pharmacists. Jeremy Moretz, PharmD Jeremy is currently completing a PGY2 Cardiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Residency Class of 2012 Jenna Faircloth, PharmD Jenna completed her PGY2 in pediatrics at Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and is now a Pediatric Clinical Specialist at an Outpatient Cardiology Clinic at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Megan Hames, PharmD, BCPS Megan completed her PGY2 in Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is now an Outpatient Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at Vanderbilt Medical Center Ingram Cancer Center. Michelle Huber, PharmD, BCPS Michelle completed a PGY2 Critical Care residency at Medical University of South Carolina, and decided to further her training. She is currently in Chicago doing a Specialty Residency in Organ Transplant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Paul Moore, PharmD, BCPS After completing his PGY1 residency, Paul stayed at Vanderbilt and completed a PGY2 in Critical Care. Paul is currently working as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.

Residency Class of 2011 Angela Loo, PharmD, BCPS Angela completed her PGY2 in Infectious Disease at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She is now the Infectious Disease Clinical Manager at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Allison Palmer, PharmD, BCPS Allison completed her Critical Care PGY2 residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She is now a Surgical/Trauma ICU Clinical Pharmacist at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX. Christie Parker, PharmD Christie completed her PGY2 in Critical Care at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She is now working as a Surgical Critical Care Pharmacist at NewYork - Presbyterian Hospital. Jonathan Pouliot, PharmD, BCPS After completing his PGY1 residency, Jon stayed at Vanderbilt and completed a PGY2 in Critical Care. Jon is currently working at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN as a Clinical Specialist in the Emergency Department.

Residency Class of 2010 Travis Fleming, PharmD, BCPS Travis is an honors graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. After completing his PGY1 at Vanderbilt, Travis moved to Knoxville and is currently a Clinical Pharmacist for Cardiology/Cardiothoracic surgery at UT Medical Center. Kelli G. Rumbaugh, PharmD, BCPS Kelli is an honors graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. After finishing her PGY1, she stayed at Vanderbilt and completed a PGY2 in Critical Care. She is currently a Clinical Specialist in the Surgical ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Monica Hanson, PharmD, BCPS Monica is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing her PGY1 residency she worked for a few years at one of Vanderbilt’s Outpatient Pharmacies. She is now working as a Research Pharmacist in Oncology at Washington University in St. Louis. Amy P. Myers, PharmD, BCPS Amy is a graduate of the Auburn University College of Pharmacy. She successfully completed her PGY1 residency at Vanderbilt and is an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Vanderbilt.

Residency Class of 2009 Zac Cox, PharmD, BCPS Zac is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing his PGY1 residency he accepted an Assistant Professor position at the David Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, TN where teaches internal medicine and infectious disease. His practice site is at Vanderbilt with the inpatient heart failure service.

Chris Peryam, PharmD, BCPS Chris is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing his residency he accepted a clinical staff pharmacist position at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. Ashley Quintili, PharmD, BCPS Ashley is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing her PGY1 residency she continued on to a PGY2 Critical Care Specialty residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center and is now a Surgical/Trauma ICU Clinical Specialist at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Darby Siler, PharmD Darby is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing her PGY1 residency she continued on to a PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Specialty Residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center. She is now working as a BMT Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Residency Class of 2008 Jon Aston, PharmD, BCPS Jon is a graduate of Lipscomb University and University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing his pharmacy practice residency he is now a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at Vanderbilt. Erin B. Neal, PharmD, BCPS Erin is a graduate of University of the South at Sewanee and Auburn University School of Pharmacy. After successfully completing her pharmacy practice residency, Erin has worked at Vanderbilt as an Investigational Drug Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist in Medicine. Erin is currently the Residency Program Director for the Vanderbilt PGY1 Program. Alyson G. Wilder, PharmD, BCPS Alyson is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston. After successfully completing a Vanderbilt PGY1 pharmacy practice residency she completed a PGY2 Critical Care Nutrition Residency at Vanderbilt, She is currently working as the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. Erika H. Hasford, PharmD, BCPS Erika is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing her pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt she accepted a Clinical Pharmacist position at Maury County Medical Center in Columbia, TN where she is now their clinical coordinator.

Residency Class of 2007 Lindsay Dyer, PharmD Lindsay is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. After successfully completing her pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt she returned to Charlotte, NC where she accepted a Clinical/Staff Pharmacist position at Carolinas HealthCare System at Levine's Children’s Hospital. Nicole L. Lubcke, PharmD Nicole is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She tailored her pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt to include several pediatrics rotations which gave her the necessary experience to pursue her interest in pediatrics and accept a position after residency as a clinical pharmacist in pediatrics and oncology in Madison, Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital and the UW Adult Hospital in Oncology.

Margaret Mann Leech, PharmD Margaret “Mindy” Mann is a graduate of the University of Georgia. After completing her pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt she accepted a position back in Georgia at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Kanan Shah, PharmD Kanan is a graduate of Auburn University. After completing her pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt she returned to Alabama accepting a clinical pharmacist position at Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville AL.

Residency Class of 2006 Matthew Conley, PharmD, BCPS Matthew is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. After the pharmacy practice residency at Vanderbilt, he became a clinical pharmacist at Park Ridge Hospital in North Carolina. He returned to Nashville and served as a staff pharmacist in the Critical Care/OR Pharmacy at Vanderbilt. He and his wife are now living and working in Florida. Stacie Soja, PharmD Stacie came from the Ohio State University. Presently, Stacie is employed as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Kimberly K. Snodgrass, PharmD, BCPS Kim came to us from the University of North Carolina. After completing a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency in Trauma/Critical Care at Clarian Health Partners & Purdue University Indianapolis, IN she was hired on to fulfill the Trauma ICU Clinical Pharmacist Position. Jennifer Gray, PharmD Jennifer came from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a PGY2 Specialty Residency in Solid Organ Transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is currently employed as Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Solid Organ Transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Residency Class of 2005 Paige Fuller, PharmD, BCPS Paige is a graduate of Samford University. After successfully completing the residency, she was accepted to a Pediatric Specialty Residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina. Obtaining a Specialty Residency position is very competitive and demonstrates Paige’s capabilities. This was an important step in Paige’s goal to practice as a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist. As part of her position, Paige serves as a student preceptor. She has now returned to Vanderbilt as a staff Clinical Pharmacist in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Shivani Patel, PharmD, BCPS Shivani is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. After successfully completing the residency, we were fortunate to retain her on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pharmacy Staff. She is currently serving as a decentralized pharmacist in the Cardiology/Neurology Pharmacy. She successfully completed the BCPS exam immediately after completing the residency. Hayley Rector, PharmD, BCPS Hayley is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. After successfully completing the residency, we were fortunate to retain her on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pharmacy Staff. She served in a decentralized pharmacist position in the Critical Care/SICU Pharmacy at Vanderbilt before she moved into her current position as the Clinic Pharmacy Manager. She successfully completed the BCPS exam immediately after completing the residency.

Katie Smith Glover, PharmD Katie is a graduate of Mercer University. After successfully completing the residency, Katie accepted a position as a Clinical Pharmacist at Atlanta Children’s Hospital. This fulfilled her goals of practicing as pharmacist specializing in Pediatrics.

Residency Class of 2004 Andy Carr, PharmD, BCPS Andy is a graduate of Samford University. After successfully completing the residency, he accepted a position as a Clinical Pharmacist at the VA in Birmingham, Alabama. He practices in Adult General Medicine Brian Fontenot, PharmD Brian is a graduate of University of Louisiana Monroe. After successfully completing the residency, he was accepted to a Pediatric Specialty residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He is currently practicing as a Pediatric clinical specialist at Children’s Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is practicing in critical care and nutrition and involved in teaching students. Brandy Green, PharmD Brandy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. After successfully completing the residency, she accepted a position as a Clinical Pharmacist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She has been involved in developing clinical programs and training pharmacists to perform these roles. Natalie P. Kittrell, PharmD, BCPS Natalie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. After successfully completing the residency, she accepted a position as a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She successfully completed the BCPS exam in the fall of 2005. She initiated a residency program at Centennial with four positions. Natalie has served on the ASHP New Practitioner Executive Committee. Natalie also serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students.

Residency Class of 2003 Marti Baker, PharmD, BCPS Marty is a graduate of Samford University. After successfully completing the residency, she accepted a clinical position at the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee and has successfully completed the BCPS exam. Christie Buchanan Truscott, PharmD Christie is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. After successfully completing the residency, she was accepted to the Transplant Specialty Residency program at the University of Utah. We were able to attract Christie back to Vanderbilt in July 2004 to a Transplant Clinical Pharmacist Position. Since that time, she has grown the program at Vanderbilt and established a Transplant Specialty Residency program at Vanderbilt in July 2006. Lindy Taylor, PharmD Linda is a graduate of the University of Florida. After successfully completing the residency, she accepted a Decentralized/Clinical position at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She has worked to establish pharmacy services in the Emergency Department and serves clinically in this area. Karen Wilson, PharmD Karen is a graduate of Samford University. After successfully completing the residency, she accepted a position as a Decentralized/Clinical pharmacist at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
