Who We Are
Our Oriole Lane Parent-Teacher Organization’s goal is to strengthen our school community by organizing and running supplemental programs and family events throughout the year! We provide enrichment for students and families in their classrooms and in school, we support our teachers and staff, and we create connections with district and community organizations.
Why You Should Join
Your $20 annual PTO membership saves you money! You get as much as 20% off yearbooks, school directories and PTO events. The low membership dues directly fund excellent programs for your child. You will get to vote on how funds are allocated and what programs are selected. Choose your level of participation – you might be able to come to meetings, volunteer for programs, or contribute financially. No minimum commitment required!
PTO Sponsored Activities Your child (and often your whole family) will have the opportunity to participate in many PTO sponsored activities throughout the year. Some of our most popular events include the back-to-school tudent Ice Cream Social, Carnival, Field Day, Special Interest Day, Scholastic Book Fair, Fine Arts Night, and the OL Summer Library Program.
PTO Initiatives Our PTO helps fund some of the most pressing needs in our school. In the past few years the PTO has raised over $40,000, the majority of
PTO
which has gone DIRECTLY back to Oriole Lane. Some of the most notable expenditures: Ipad carts, SmartBoard accessories, new playground equipment and new library furniture. We have one fall fundraiser and a spring Carnival and Raffle that support these initiatives.
Spirit Fridays Every Friday, students show their Oriole Pride by wearing orange or OLS spirit wear. OLS spirit wear can be purchased by going to oriole.dpshopper.com. Select the “Ship to Store” option to have your order delivered to your child at school free of charge.
PTO Meetings Our PTO meetings are held at Oriole Lane on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:15am. We will go over business items, discuss upcoming events or initiatives, and frequently have guest speakers on topics pertaining to current issues in our school or district.
PTO/Community Events E-News Every Tuesday, the Oriole Observer newsletter will be sent out to all families electronically. It contains pertinent and timely information about our school’s activities, PTO events, district wide news and local organization opportunities.
Contacts and Questions If you have a school or teacher related question, please call the office or the teacher directly. If you have a question about our PTO or one of our events, contact us!

: s y a s Orville Did you know these facts about Life at Oriole Lane? You (and younger siblings) can join your child for lunch. Bring it from home or order school lunch from the office by 9:30 am. Early Release days end at 12:35 pm. Students have a condensed schedule (including eating lunch) and are released to the buses or to the gym for parent pick-up. Orville Bucks are given to students for good behavior as part of the Positive Behavior Incentive program known as PBIS. They can be redeemed for prizes or activities. The morning drop-off line flows along the North side of the building through the gym parking lot. It is intended to be for children who are hopping out unassisted on the passenger side of the vehicle. If you need to park or get out, please do so in the front main lot.
If you’re picking up your child after school, you will enter through the gym doors and wait there until your student arrives. Doors will open at 4 pm. The Oriole Lane office staff will send out administrative e-news notices on Thursdays. This could include letters from the principal, lunch menus or district policies and procedures. Remember to check the online school calendar to see upcoming Oriole Lane and MTSD events and happenings.
