WEEKLY NEWS SHEET Issue 113 Friday 25 September 2015 What’s on this week Tuesday 29 September

Open Morning 8.45am - 11.00am

MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER We held our annual Open Evening earlier this week and we had a record number of visiting families recording more than 370! Comments from our visitors were very positive and if your son or daughter was involved then thank you for allowing him/her to assist. It really makes a difference having this support and also allows parents and carers to get a student view as well as ours.   Our Open Morning in on Tuesday 29 September. Have a good weekend. Mr McCabe YEAR 9 – 11 PROGRESSION EVENT

same as last year), and Year 10 need a Core Science textbook. They are invaluable in supporting your child through their GCSEs in Science. They can be purchased by paying £2.75 to the Finance Office and then bringing the receipt to the Portsmouth staff room at break or lunch. If any student studying the separate Sciences in Year 10 and 11 have not purchased revision guides, then we strongly recommend they do so. They cost £8.25 for a Biology, Chemistry and Physics book (£2.75 each).  Year 9 If you child is currently in 9X1 and 9Y1 they will have just started studying for their GCSE in Biology, Chemistry and Biology. Due to the changes at GCSE, we are not currently able to offer revision guides and students will be given revision materials in lessons when needed.

Please see the attached letter and map regarding a Progression Event being held at The Carnival Hall on Wednesday 25 November for Year 9 – 11 students.

Many thanks for your support.

Mr McCabe
