Wednesdays, 12:15-12:45 PM Beginning February 18th Lent is a period of forty days when we reflect on our humanity and absolute need for God's grace in our lives. This year, we're offering mid-week services of nourishment and healing during these forty days. The service will be relatively quiet with the reading of Scripture, Prayer, Communion, and Anointing with oil for healing. The services will be held on Wednesdays, 12:15-12:45 PM, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 18th. Make this Lent a meaningful one by making yourself available to Christ's nourishing presence on Wednesdays during your lunch hour.

Nature Walk With God Saturday, February 28th 4:00 PM Come, join us on February 28th for a late afternoon and twilight journey with God. We will meet at the Barr Street Trailhead at 4:00 PM to walk around the Little-Big Econ Kolokee Loop. From there, we will walk through a longleaf pine forest where the turpentine industry flourished long ago.

NEWS Our Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Julie Moss, who passed away on January 7, 2015. Services were held in the Historic Sanctuary on January 24th. Currently, our church membership is 1,479, and we look forward to seeing the “body of Christ” grow when our New Members class joins the church on February 8th. If you are interested in joining the church or would like to know when the next New Members Class will be held, please contact Charlene Davis in the church office (407-365-3255 or [email protected]).

The walk fringes a family of bogs that comprise the lake where we will see wild life and song birds, as well as hawks and cranes. Deer, coyotes, fox, bobcats and many other representatives of nature may cross our path.

As the sun burns through a long view of the horizon across this wild, wet prairie, we will settle into a comfortable area around a campfire for stories and tales. Bring snacks, a swatch to sit on, and a big smile.

COOKIES! COOKIES! Please bring your cookies, wrapped by twos, to Fellowship Hall on Sunday, February 1, at 9:00 AM to prepare for mailing to our soldiers for Valentine’s Day. We can also send candy and notes, so please join with us for this very special event. The "One Nation Under God" concert on January 27 was fabulous! A crowded sanctuary enjoyed the awesome patriotic music and, especially, the inspiring message from COL(R) Danny McKnight of “Black Hawk Down” fame. Among our special guests were many military veterans, first responders and even a group of ROTC students -- the past, the present

and the future. Special thanks to Kathy Rohe and her team for their support of the event, and also to those who provided refreshments and helped in so many other ways. The next meeting of the Military Support Team will be held on Sunday, February 8, at noon in Fellowship Hall. Please RSVP to Liz Whitley [email protected] so that she can adequately prepare for lunch. We are well into the planning for the Fallen Floridians Memorial Cross Tribute scheduled for May and eager to share the latest details with members of the Team.
