Show hosts a record number of international and regional pavilions and groups Debut of Special Industry Zone highlights government agency and association support Annual summit and on-site conferences offer important networking opportunities Largest number of pre-registered show visitors and buyer groups This year’s Water Expo China + Water Membrane China is hosting a record number of international and regional pavilions and groups when it opens 2 – 4 December at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China. There will be pavilions and groups from Australia, Germany, the German state of Bavaria, Japan, Taiwan region and the UK. Their exhibitors are looking for business opportunities and seeking agents at China’s most comprehensive meeting platform for the whole water industry chain. Organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society (CHES) and the Membrane Industry Association of China (MIAC), the three-day Water Expo China + Water Membrane China is approved by China’s Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology, and sponsored by the Ministry of Water Resources.

Page 2 Water Expo China + Water Membrane China Beijing, China, 2 – 4 December 2013 Commenting on the show, Mr Jason Cao, Senior General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said: “Buyers will be impressed by the record number of international and regional pavilions and groups and their exhibitors who are looking for opportunities with domestic industry players. For example, we have a large and first time pavilion from Australia with 12 exhibitors, and the German Bavarian Pavilion has seven exhibitors.” The high-level Australia Pavilion is organised by the Australian Trade Commission / Australian Embassy Commercial Section, the Australian Department of Industry, and the Australian Water Association. Exhibiting in the pavilion are: Aquation Pty Ltd, BioOrganics Group Pty Ltd, Clean TeQ Limited, Creative Water Technology Ltd, Environmental Engineers International Pty Ltd, Envirostream Solutions, Foreshore Protection P/L, One Water Naturally, Optimatics, Rubicon Water and Water Data Services Pty Ltd. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, in cooperation with Bayern International, Bavarian Bureau for International Business Relations has organised the German Bavarian Pavilion. Its exhibitors are: AKW A+V Protect Industry GmbH, Aquagroup AG, Grünbeck Wasseraufbereitung GmbH, GWT – German Water Treatment GmbH, Ecoquant GmbH Sikotec GmbH and Step Systems GmbH. Furthermore, there is an international pavilion which has five exhibitors from Germany, Korea, Malaysia, the UK and the US. By grouping together these exhibitors can attract more attention to their products and technologies as well as having access to an exclusive information stand within the pavilion. Debut of Special Industry Zone highlights government agency and association support This special zone features exhibitors who are attending Water Expo China + Water Membrane China as a result of government agency and association cooperation. It also shows that the water industry business is booming and that everyone is working together to improve China’s water environment.” Da Yu Yearly Award 2013 makes its debut at Water Expo China. In addition, project designers or contractors will be part of a booth in Hall 4 highlighting the latest water projects in China. It provides an opportunity for all attendees to learn more about the different types of water projects, to find out the project demands, and to network with those involved. Annual summit and on-site conferences offer important networking opportunities Running concurrently with Water Expo China + Water Membrane China is the highly respected 8th China International Water Business Summit with more than four sessions offering a valuable perspective into the trends of China’s water market. Commenting on the Membrane Technology Conference, organiser Mr You Jinde, Secretary General of MIAC said: “Like last year, our conference with concurrent sessions, will be held over two days. Once again we have been able to secure top domestic and international speakers who will share their expertise, new products and technologies, and trend forecasts with an eager to learn professional audience.” There is also a key event called the 4th International Water Business Match-making Forum for companies wanting to explore business opportunities. The event features professionals and buyers from different water industry sectors who will meet with 30 overseas and domestic exhibitors to help them better understand the opportunities arising from China’s water industry and to explore more business opportunities. Largest number of pre-registered show visitors and buyer groups More than 50 visitor delegations will attend Water Expo China + Water Membrane China as a result of cooperation with associations, industry agencies and organisations, institutes and media. As part of promotional activities to attract more domestic and international visitors to the show, a comprehensive campaign was launched which resulted in a new show record for pre-registered visitors. International and domestic visitors were offered the chance to win a trip to the show if they pre-registered before a certain date. In addition, 150,000 invitations to buyers were sent out and the response was positive. These activities are expected to attract a record number of 35,000 visitors from 38 countries and regions.

It is committed to protecting the legitimate interests of its members, the implementation of relevant policies and regulations in China, exchange and collaboration of the membrane industry in China and overseas, strengthening research and development in engineering and technology as well as promoting membrane industry development.
