1 Anwendung Der EICKEMEYER® Doppler im Taschenformat zur Messung von Blutflüssen ermöglicht ein breites Spektrum an Möglichkeiten zur Messung des Blutflusses in Gefäßen, Auskultation bei sehr kleinen Tieren sowie Blutdruckmessung. Das Paket enthält: -
Dopplereinheit 8 MHz transversale Linearsonde Akkuladegerät 1 Flasche EICKEMEYER® Ultraschallgel
2 Bedienung der Dopplereinheit Für Versand und Transport kann die Sonde von der Haupteinheit getrennt werden. Push-Pull Verbindungsstücke befinden sich im Inneren der Haupteinheit. Die Verbindungsstücke sind paarig symmetrisch, d.h. generell muss nicht beachtet werden, wie der Stecker eingesteckt wird (bei flachem Aufnehmer kann es notwendig werden den Stecker zu drehen). Der Selbsthaltemechanismus der Anschlüsse schützt vor versehentlichem Entfernen der Kabel. Zur Trennung der Verbindungsstücke ziehen Sie am metallischen Teil des Konnektors. Der EICKEMEYER® Doppler ist einfach zu verwenden. Das Design ist dazu gedacht, die Bedienung so einfach wie möglich zu halten. Um das Gerät einzuschalten, drücken Sie ON, zum Ausschalten OFF. Um die Lautstärke zu senken, drücken Sie Ein dauerhaft grünes LED-Licht zeigt an, dass die Einheit eingeschaltet ist. Ein blinkendes grünes LED-Licht zeigt an, dass die Batterien aufgeladen werden müssen. Sollte die Einheit vier Minuten lang nicht benutzt werden oder sind die Batterien schwach, schaltet sie automatisch ab.

Bedienungsanleitung EICKEMEYER® Doppler – DE Um den Ladevorgang zu starten, schließen Sie den Mini-Klinkenstecker am Hauptgerät an. Die rote LED in der Nähe des Steckers beginnt nun zu leuchten. Während des Ladevorgangs ist eine Benutzung des Gerätes ausgeschlossen. Die gesamte Ladedauer des Akkus beträgt 15 Stunden. Während des Aufladens wird das rote Licht schwächer und erlischt schließlich. Dank der integrierten Lautsprecher kann das Geräusch des Blutflusses gehört werden. Durch Anschließen eines Kopfhörers kann der Arzt das Geräusch direkt hören; die Lautsprecher werden hierdurch deaktiviert. Der Klinkenanschluss ist für den Anschluss des Akku-Ladegerätes oder des Kopfhörers vorgesehen.
3 Wie wird der Blutdruck gemessen Messvorgang 1. Schließen Sie eine passende Manschette über einem Gefäß an. 2. Rasieren Sie den Bereich auf dem mit der Sonde gemessen werden soll oder befeuchten Sie das Fell mit Alkohol (am Ellenbogen, Unterarm oder Schwanz). 3. Bringen Sie etwas Gel auf die Sonde auf. Legen Sie die Sonde auf das zu untersuchende Gefäß auf. (Bringen Sie keinen Druck auf die entsprechende Stelle auf, da dies den Blutfluss unterbinden würde.) 4. Bewegen Sie die Sonde langsam, bis Sie das bestmögliche Signal erhalten und das Dopplergeräusch gut hören. 5. Fixieren Sie die Sonde mithilfe Ihrer Finger oder einem Pflaster. 6. Pumpen Sie die Blutdruckmanschette auf, um die Arterie zu blockieren, bis Sie nichts mehr hören. 7. Lassen Sie langsam den Druck aus der Manschette ab. 8. Wenn Sie wieder ein Geräusch hören, entspricht der Druck in diesem Moment dem systolischen Blutdruck. 9. Der diastolische Blutdruck lässt sich durch eine Veränderung der Tonart feststellen. Dies erfordert etwas Übung und gute Umgebungsbedingungen. 10. Um bessere Ergebnisse zu erhalten, empfiehlt es sich den Messvorgang im Abstand von einigen Minuten 3-mal zu wiederholen.

4 Instandhaltung Der EICKEMEYER® Doppler sollte bei Temperaturen zwischen 10 °C und 45 °C betrieben werden. Die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit sollte hierbei nicht über 85 %, der Atmosphärendruck zwischen 70 und 106 kPa liegen. Setzen Sie das Gerät weder extremer Hitze noch extremer Kälte aus. Bitte behandeln Sie die Sonde besonders sorgfältig! Mechanische Stoßbelastungen sind zu vermeiden. Des Weiteren lassen Sie besondere Vorsicht im Umgang mit der Ultraschallsonde walten; sie kann bei Kontakt mit harten Oberflächen beschädigt werden. Die Sonde kann mithilfe eines feuchten oder in schwachen Alkohol getauchten Tuches gereinigt werden. Verkratzen Sie die Sonde nicht. Verwenden Sie keine organischen Lösungsmittel. Lediglich milde Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsmittel werden empfohlen. Ziehen Sie die Sonde nicht am Kabel aus dem Gerät.
5 Reparatur des Gerätes Im Falle einer Beschädigung oder Anfragen aller Art, wenden Sie sich bitte an den EICKEMEYER® Kundenservice. Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht. Es enthält keine Elemente, die zur Veränderung durch den Benutzer bestimmt sind.

1 Application The pocket size EICKEMEYER® Doppler veterinary blood flow detector is a simple device enabling a wide range of easy and reliable diagnosis of blood flow in the vessels, auscultation on very small animals, and blood pressure measurement. The package includes: -
Doppler unit 8 MHz transversal linear probe Battery charger 1 bottle of EICKEMEYER® ultrasound gel
2 Operation of the Doppler Unit For shipment and transportation, the probe can be disconnected from the main unit. Push-pull probe connectors are situated at the side of the main unit. A pair of connectors is symmetrical, generally do not care to the connecting order (with flat transducer, due the geometry, and only in difficulties it is worth to check both positions). The self-latching mechanism of connectors protects of pulling out by the cable. To disconnect always pull the metal part of the connector! The EICKEMEYER® Doppler is easy to use. The unit design was thought to simplify its use reducing to minimum controls - volume up/down and on/off switches. To turn on the device – press button ON, to turn off - press OFF. To increase the volume – press
To decrease the volume – press The continuous green LED light indicates that the unit is turned on. The pulsating green light shows that the batteries should be recharged. When the unit is not used for 4 minutes or batteries are low, it will be turned off automatically.

User manual EICKEMEYER® Doppler – ENGL To charge, plug the chargers mini-jack to the main unit and connect to the mains. The red LED near connector should shine. While charging the use of the device is excluded. The full battery charging time is 15 hours. During charging the red light becomes weaker and disappears. The signal of blood flow can be heard thanks to the integrated speaker. The doctor can listen privately by plugging headphones (the speaker is automatically turned off). The mini-jack socket is made to plug the charger or the headphones.
3 How to Measure Blood Pressure Measurement Procedure 1. Place cuff above the vessel to examine. 2. Shave the area where to position the probe or wet hairs with alcohol (underneath the tail or the carpal pad at the end of the paw or the radial artery). 3. Put some gel on the probe. Put in contact with the vessel to examine (without pressure because it would stop or reduce blood flow). 4. Move the probe slightly until you hear the best possible Doppler sound signal. 5. Maintain the probe with your finger or fix it on the skin with a sticking plaster. 6. Inflate the cuff with the sphygmomanometer to block the artery until you hear no sound signal. 7. Deflate slowly and progressively the cuff. 8. When you hear the sound signal again, it corresponds to the systolic pressure. 9. The diastolic pressure corresponds to a change of the Doppler’s tonality. The detection of diastolic pressure needs experience as well as good operating conditions. 10. To validate the results, it is recommended to repeat the measurement procedure 3 times with an interruption of a few minutes.
4 Maintenance The EICKEMEYER® Doppler should be operated within the range of environment temperature from 10 °C to 45 °C by relative humidity not exceeding 85 % and atmospheric pressure 70 – 106 kPa. Do not expose it neither to extreme heat nor to extreme cold.

User manual EICKEMEYER® Doppler – ENGL Special care is necessary for the probe. Mechanical shock is to be avoided, and special precautions are needed with the ultrasonic probe since it can get damaged when hit by a hard surface. The probe can be cleansed by means of a soft tissue, dampened with water or weak alcohol. Do not scratch. Do not use organic solvents. Only mild cleaning and disinfecting liquids are recommended. Do not try to pull out the probe by the cable.
5 Repairs to the Device In case of damage or of any queries whatsoever, concerning the correct operation of the device, please contact the EICKEMEYER® customer service. There are no user serviceable parts inside unit. Do not open it, as there are no elements inside designed to be operated by the user.
