Along with Leonard Elbaum, received the Kauffman Grant for $7500. Title of Submission: Creating an Inflection Point for the Department of Physical Therapy at FIU. Awarded January 2010. Status: Ongoing. Interdisciplinary research team member, creating a Web-based Patient Dashboard to facilitate communication between physicians and case managers. Ellen Brown (Nursing) is primary investigator and team leader. Research in conjunction with United Homecare agency. Status: Pilot project with surveys to physicians and case managers working with United Homecare. March 2011.

Grant Proposals Submitted grant application to the Health Foundation of South Florida for the Matter of Balance Program. 2009. This grant was not funded. Pre-application submitted by Anahid Kulwicki, Associate Dean for Research, for an interdisciplinary grant to the Allegany Franciscan Ministries. Dr. Roberts prepared the Falls Prevention component. 2010. This grant was not funded.

Facilitated FIU PT student involvement with the walk’s warm-up program. Chair of the FPTA Public Relations Committee, 2008 to present.
