USER GUIDE This document is an introductory guide to assist downloading, installation and initial configuration of Tyre Aid. Should you encounter any difficulties and require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Fleet Aid directly:

1. Fully charge all equipment before use. Complete steps 1- 8 in sequence. 2. Tyre Aid operates on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 PCs and Windows Mobile 6.5.3.PDA 3. PDA (Pocket PC) to PC: Setup and Synchronisation (Sync) 3.1. Download and install ‘Windows Mobile Device Center’ (WMDC) or ‘Active Sync’ (AS). http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14 (Vista/Windows 7, 32bit) http://www.microsoft.com/en-za/download/details.aspx?id=3182 (Vista/Windows 7, 64bit) http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15 (Windows XP) 3.2. Connect PDA to PC with docking cradle, power supply and USB cable supplied. 3.3. Setup PDA using WMDC as shown. Check and set Regional Settings, Time and Date. 3.4. Change content sync settings: Uncheck Contacts, Calendar, Email, Tasks etc.

4. Tyre Aid Software Installation: 4.1. Download and install Tyre Aid to your PC.

Go to: http://www.fleetaid.co.za/install/default.htm and Install.

4.2. Configure Language and Measurement units:

4.3. Update Licence: 4.3.1. Complete User registration details and Save. 4.3.2. Email [email protected] requesting your Licence Key.

4.4. Enter the Licence Key: Validate your installation with the licence key you receive.

5. Tyre Aid PDA inspection software installation 5.1. Ensure PDA remains connected to PC with docking cradle, power supply and USB cable supplied.

5.2. From Tyre Aid: Sync, Install and Copy to Unit.

5.3. Follow PDA on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

6. Bluetooth connect Tyre Inspection Probe with PDA 6.1. The tyre inspection probe is normally delivered Bluetooth paired to the PDA. If they are not, or require pairing again at any stage, follow these steps ensuring the tyre probe is On (Solid green LED) PDA Start menu, Settings, Bluetooth

Add new device.., Searching for Bluetooth devices.

7. Tyre Aid Operation 7.1. Create New Fleet(s)

7.2. Create Vehicle(s) Enter vehicle details. Use drop down boxes for axle types and tyre sizes, enter recommended pressures per axle. Custom number wheel positions; Clear Positions and sequentially number tyres with multiple mouse clicks. Save.

7.3. Copy Vehicle Right click on vehicle and Copy / Paste to create duplicates of same vehicle types: Rename Registration/Fleet Number/Friendly Name and Save.

7.4. Edit Vehicle Left double click to Open, Edit and Save. Or Right mouse click to Cut/Paste vehicles between Fleets.

7.5. Customise Settings 7.5.1. Tyre Makes and Patterns Create and Edit Tyre Makes and Patterns

7.5.2. Tyre Size and Life Create new Sizes and Life and delete unnecessary options using Edit and check Hidden box.

7.5.3. Observations and Actions Create, Edit and Hide Actions and Observations of each Observation category: Mechanical, Damage and Wear. Link Observations to relevant Actions from list by checking Action boxes.

7.5.4. Sync to TyreAid Please contact Fleet Aid to request this service. This feature enables a copy of the inspection data to be sent to our server allowing multiple sites to update a centralised database. From here data and reports can be accessed. User logins to site www.fleetaid.co.za/login.aspx will be setup and provided for you. 7.5.5. Sync with Server Please contact Fleet Aid to request this service. This feature enables a copy of the inspection data to be sent to any server so multiple sites can update a centralised database. Enter 3rd party connection string address. We will provide SQL scripts to create your data tables.

7.6. Sync (Synchronise) Sends data between PC and PDA for processing vehicle inspections. It also sends copy data to servers if activated (see section 7.5.4. & 7.5.5.)

8. Tyre Inspection (PDA & Probe use) 8.1. Turn on Tyre Probe: Press and hold yellow button for 1-2 seconds until solid red light, then release. A solid green LED indicates fully charged, On and ready for use.

8.2. Launch Tyre Aid:

PDA Start menu, Tyre Aid.

8.3. Select Vehicle:

Sequentially record inspection data.

8.3.1. Tread Depth: Insert tyre probe needle into tread for Inner, Centre and Outer readings to be automatically captured.

8.3.2. Pressure Reading:

Push and hold valve chuck steadily onto tyre valve to automatically record actual tyre pressure.

8.3.3. Save Vehicle: Continue with inspections.

8.3.4. Close Tyre Aid on PDA when completed. 8.3.5. Connect PDA to PC and Sync data.

9. Reports and Export data 9.1. Run required Reports and save as PDF/MS Excel/MS Word 9.2. Export CSV data to Excel.
