Hirschmann offers a complete system - ranging from the pure ethernet hub, FDDI concentrators, switches, bridges and routers to Fast ethernet and gigabit ethernet switches, all complete with single unit management. To complete the range, we offer transceivers, stand alone products, management and diagnostic software as well as accessories and manuals.

Hirschmann Transceivers enable the direct connection of end user machines onto a 10 Mbit/s CSMA/CD-LAN to IEE 802.3 standard. Whilst the compact optical mini transceiver uses BFOC or FSMA connections to connect directly onto the PC workstations AUI interface and any peripheral machines, standard transceivers and cable transceivers are installed using a coax segment. In this way savings can be made on expensive AUI cable and at the same time more economical extensive diagnostic options are available as well as integrated functions for security and durable network housing.

Hirschmann products attain the highest CE classification as well as all current VDE, SNMP, ANSI ISO and IEEE standards. This is exhaustively controlled during tests. Last but not least, the user friendliness of the network is of fundamental importance when it comes to building a modern network.

The high level of networking in the office environment makes it essential for a company to have a completely reliable user terminal connection; no firm can afford an inefficient network, let alone endure system crashes.

Whether coaxial, fibre optic or twisted pair technology, Hirschmann transceivers not only offer a secure connection between work group hubs and the company backbone, but also offer access from an external switch, to SQE-/Heart Beat Test as well as status and diagnostic LEDs.

• By using built in cable channels no additional units are required at the work place • The KTDE-BNC (UP) offers a completely secure connection.

The cable channel transceiver has an external display for the SQE/ Heart Beat Test, status and diagnostic LEDs as well as an integrated Jabber protect function. The KTDE-BNC (UP), which is built in to the installation channels, offers an alternative to fuse box technology, an absolutely reliable user terminal anchor. The coax transceiver KTDE-BNC (UP) connects to two BNC boxes.
