At Sea Enjoy a leisurely breakfast aboard the NCL Jade this morning as we continue to sail through the beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean. Relax in the Library with a good book or try your luck in the Jade Club Casino, you’ll surely find plenty to do today. With 4 hot tubs and a swimming pool, you might opt to enjoy soaking up the Mediterranean sun for a few hours. This evening, enjoy a glass of bubbly at Mangnum’s Champagne and Wine Bar before dinner at one of 12 restaurants aboard the Jade. (B/L/D)

October 18 Alanya, Turkey This morning you’ll dock in the seaside resort of Alanya at 8:00 a.m. You’ll understand why it is such a popular British tourist destination when you experience the mild climate and mile long stretches of sandy beaches. You might opt to visit the Damlatas Caves with it’s 50 foot stalagmites or the Red Tower, an octagonal landmark dating to 1226. For shoppers, this is the perfect spot to sharpen your haggling skills as you browse the excellent jewelry stores or shop for leather goods. Return to your ship for a 6:00 p.m. sailing. (BL/D)

October 19 Limassol, Cyprus After docking on the island of Cyprus this morning at 8:00 a.m., you may choose the optional tour of the Commandaria Wine Route. The sweet desert wine known as Commandaria is the oldest named wine in the world still in production. You’ll tour the Castle of Kolossi where the wine was produced and then travel to the village of Omodos. After enjoying the wine tasting complete with entertainment, you’ll have time to explore the village’s narrow streets where you’ll see village women practicing their lace making skills. You’ll return to your ship this evening, and set sail at 5:00 p.m. (B/L/D) October 20

Haifa, Israel Today you’ll have a full day to tour historic Haifa as you dock at 6:00 a.m. Enjoy an optional tour to Jerusalem with your English speaking guide in a private air conditioned motor coach. You’ll be transported to Jerusalem where you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives. As you enter the Old City, you’ll visit Mount Zion, King David’s tomb, the Last Supper Wall, The Wailing Wall and the Temple Mount. It is here, where according to Jewish tradition, when the Messiah comes, he will enter. Returning to Haifa, you’ll stop in Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus and one of the most important Christian sites in the Holy Land. You’ll surely find that your visit to Haifa is a personal, spiritual journey. You set sail at 9:00 p.m. this evening. (B/L/D)

October 21 Ashdod, Israel At 6:00 a.m. this morning, you’ll dock in Ashdod, where you’ll continue with your optional guided tour. You’ll set off for Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity where you’ll see the birthplace of Christ. Your visit to the Church will continue as you see the Door of Humility, the Grotto of the Nativity and the Chapel of the Manager. Time permitting, we’ll drive along the Sea of Galilee; here, along the shores, much of the ministry of Jesus took place. We set sail at 6:00 p.m. (B/L/D) October 22 Port Said, Egypt You’ll dock in Port Said at 7:00 a.m. to embark on an optional excursion to Cairo. Here, you’ll stand at the base of the amazing Great Pyramids of Giza, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Believed to be constructed around 2560 BC, the Great Pyramid was the tallest manmade structure in the world for 3,000 years. Next, you’ll continue your excursion down to the Valley Temple to view the Great Sphinx with its body of a lion and face of a man. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll travel to Sakkara to view the Step Pyramid and learn of it’s history with your private English speaking Egyptologist. As you return to Port Said, you’ll travel through Cairo, known as the City of a Thousand Minarets where you’ll be amazed by the hustle and bustle that is modern day Cairo. Return to the ship for a 9:00 p.m. sailing. Enjoy dinner tonight at one of the Jade’s wonderful restaurants, perhaps at the Asian Fusion Jasmine Garden where Szechuan Stir-Fried Lobster Tail is the specialty! (B/L.D)

October 23 Alexandria, Egypt This morning, you’ll dock in Alexandria, The Pearl of the Mediterranean, at 9:00 a.m. You’ll be met by your English speaking guide for your optional tour of Alexandria, starting with a visit to the Catacombs of Kum El Shukafa. Continue on to Pompey’s Pillar and Qayebay Citadel before enjoying lunch at a local seafood restaurant. This afternoon, visit the spectacular Alexandria Library before returning to the Jade for a 6:00 p.m. sailing. (B/L/D) October 24 At Sea Today, take time to relax and enjoy the waters of the Mediterranean as we cruise toward Rome. This is the perfect time to sleep in, perhaps enjoy room service breakfast in your cabin and then enjoy a relaxing spa treatment. Freestyle cruising aboard NCL is all about doing what you want to do, when you want to do it. (B/L/D) October 25 At Sea As we continue to sail toward Rome, take time to relax and enjoy the comforts of the NCL Jade. A lounge chair poolside with a good book is the perfect spot to enjoy some quiet time. Or meet friends in the Star Bar for a cocktail and a game of checkers! There is plenty to do today before settling in for dinner in one of the Jade’s great restaurants! (B/L/D)

October 26 Rome, Italy We dock this morning in the Eternal City of Rome at 5:00 a.m. Enjoy a relaxing morning aboard with breakfast prior to disembarking. You’ll be met by your escort and assisted with your luggage prior to setting off on a sightseeing tour. You’ll marvel at the Coliseum, The Roman Forum and the Palatine and Capitalone Hills. You’ll also visit the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica with a local guide. The highlight will surely be the Sistine Chapel, the masterpiece of Michelangelo. Commissioned by Pope Julius in 1508, Michelangelo chose to paint the Creation, the birth of Adam and Eve, as the theme for his work. Afterwards, you’ll be transported to your hotel to freshen up prior to continuing on to a local restaurant for a delicious Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant in Rome.
