Overview This guide describes how to edit the employee’s time card. Instructions in the guide include fixing punches, adding punches and breaks, adding non-worked hours, moving hours, and voiding time.

Employee List Logon to Peoplenet and select the specific site to view the employee list.

   

Red employees as missing a punch for the current week. Yellow employees are missing an out punch. Usually, this means that the employee is currently clocked in. Green employees have no missing in or out punches on their timecards. Employees in black are active, but have no time for the week.

View Employee Timecard Click on the employee’s name from the Employee list screen to view their timecard. The timecard shows in-out times for each day in military format.

The source code on the timecard represents where the punch was generated. Emp = Employee PNE = Peoplenet (Generated by the system) All edits to the time card are noted in the Adjustment column and the user’s initials are added to the Source (Src) column.

Fix Punches on the Time Card 1. From the Employee Overview screen, click on the name in red (missing punch). 2. To enter a missing punch, click the Fix Punch link on the timecard.

3. A popup window will display all the time for the day with the missing punch. Input the correct punch time in the blank field. Click Submit Fixed Punches to save changes.

4. When the punch has been entered and saved, the user’s initials will be displayed as the source. 5. When all missing punches have been corrected, the name changes from red to green. 5

Fix Punches for a Group of Time Cards 1. From the employee list screen, click the Tasks drop-down menu and select Fix Punches. 1

2. Enter the correct value in all blank fields.

Editing Time Cards from the New Transaction Screen The edits in the following sections of this guide are made from the New Transaction Screen. Click on the employee’s name from the employee list screen of the Time Management Console to go to their time card.

Select Select the appropriate assignment from the Site: Dept drop down. Select the In Date and enter the In Time in military format. Select the Out Date and enter the Out Time in military format.

To enter non-worked hours (PTO, Sick, Jury Duty, etc.), select Select the appropriate assignment from the Site:Dept drop down list. Select the day from the Date drop down. Select the appropriate non-worked code from the Pay Code list.

Adding a Break Select the employee from the Employee list screen to open their time card, then click on the New Transaction link at the bottom left of the time card screen. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

If an employee forgot to subtract their meal break from their total daily hours, select Select the appropriate assignment from the Site:Dept drop down. Select the day from the Date drop down. Select BREAK from the Pay Code menu. Enter a negative amount of time to be deducted (e.g. -0.50 = subtracting 30 minutes for the break) in decimal format. 6. Add Comments. Adding Dollars 1. If you need to add dollar adjusments, select 2. 3. 4. 5.

Select the appropriate assignment from the Site:Dept drop down. Select the day from the Date drop down. Select Dollars Type from the Pay Code menu. Enter the amount of the adjustment. Enter any optional comments to the comment field.

Void Hours Select the employee from the Employee list screen to open their time card, then click on the New Transaction link at the bottom left of the time card screen. 1. If an employee enters hours for the wrong assignment, you may void the hours by clicking on the hours in the blue hyperlink. When you hover over the hours, you will see the pop-up “Click to CANCEL this punch and Void the hours.

2. You will be asked to verify the void. Click ok to continue.

Move Hours between Departments If an employee enters hours to the wrong assignment, you may move the hours to a new assignment via the Move Hours link. 1. On the time card screen, select Move Hours.

2. Select the department to move the hours to from the Move To drop-down menu. 3. Under Hours to Move, enter the number of hours to be charged to the new department selected in step #2. 4. Click to complete the transaction.
