Rules

The competition will be conducted according to the Boys and girls 3 minutes and juniors 4 minutes. Contest Rules, Organization Code and Sporting Code Arm lock and strangle techniques are NOT allowed in U15. Arm lock are NOT allowed in U17. of the Swedish Judo Federation (www.judo.se).

At the time of weighing-in the fee receipts must be presented. If there are too few participants in a weight category, they will be moved to a higher weight and/or age class. Golden Score will be used.

Also notice it is only allowed to take part in one category in the competition.

Grade

A minimum of the 4th kyu is required for all the categories.

Referees

Breakfast at the competition day

Breakfast is available in the morning 07:00 – 09.00 for 50 SEK or 5 EUR per meal. Please register if you want this breakfast in the registration (This breakfast is not included in the camp fee)!

Bring a referee at your own expenses! In compensation your club can enter five competitors in the competition free of charge. Please inform us about the name and ranking of the referees in the entry form. Note: The referee must be of the high national standard.

LUGI Judo Camp

1,200 SEK or 120 EUR per judoka. Includes meals (8), training and all activities.

1,100 SEK or 110 EUR per judoka.

Includes 5 meals (no breakfast), training and all activities. 3.

850 SEK or 85 EUR per judoka. Includes training and all activities but without meals.

Rules

It is a very informal competition and will be conducted only partly according to the Contest Rules, Organization Code and Sporting Code of the Swedish Judo Federation (www.judo.se).

Clarification of and Additional Rules

“Floating Weight Classes” — Actual weight should be stated in the entry form. Correctness of the declared weight will be randomly checked during the competition day. It is NOT possible to enter both BUDO-NORD CUP (Thursday) and Kid´s Cup!

During more than thirty years the LUGI Judo Events have grown to a very popular and well-known judo institution in Europe. The events are unique since you can take part in so many various activities during the same weekend. One-Stop-Judo-Shop!

LUGI Judo Camp As usual we are inviting a world class team of well-known coaches. You will be instructed by skilled instructors from several different countries. Do not miss this very special opportunity!

All Time High! Last year about 900 people all together took part in the judo events in Lund, Sweden and the year before over thousand. The participants came from France, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Hungary, Great Britain, Denmark, Poland, Norway and Sweden. Regular visitors are also Switzerland and Belgium. Sometimes we even get visitors from such far places as New Zealand, Australia, Russia and USA.

We encourage all club instructors and leaders to take an active part in the activities on the mat during LUGI Judo Camp. This will give you a good opportunity to study and learn new judo techniques, moreover new ways to teach judo. It is a very superior method for bringing home “new stuff” to the club and you get a better value for your money.

Insurance Each entrant takes part at their own risk. Each National Federation and/or your own club is responsible for its judokas and must assume all responsibility for an accident and health insurance as well as the civil liabilities for their judokas and officials, including the nominated referees, during the events. If you travel to Sweden for a short period you may, if you are a citizen in certain countries, be entitled to emergency medical treatment. The countries concerned depend on the agreements, which Sweden has signed. Contact the social insurance office well before departure and ask for the certificates you need. Your social insurance office will know the situation with regard the country, from which you are travelling, and for Sweden. If you cannot show a certificate, you may risk paying for your medical treatment in cash at the time of the treatment.
