THIS IS THE GOOD TAKEOVER!

Welcome to bbcon 2015, the annual conference for the philanthropic community! As an engineering hub for Blackbaud, Austin is the perfect place for the brightest minds in the industry to gather and share the vision, innovation, and technology that are powering your passions every day. Having been with Blackbaud for a year and a half now, I’ve had the opportunity to directly engage with many of you—learning about your organizations, hearing feedback on our solutions, and collaborating on future innovations. I couldn’t be more proud to partner with you: the passion-driven individuals who are working tirelessly, passionately, and sometimes thanklessly to cure diseases, provide education, protect the environment, fight for the voiceless, give hope, and so much more. It’s your amazing work that drives us to increase investments in research and development, create connections throughout the industry, and share expertise—so you have the technology, network, and ideas you need to do what you do—even better than before. And that’s why we’re so excited you’re here with us now. Over the next three days, we’re going to deliver a valuable experience jam-packed with energy, insight, and inspiration. We’re talking about a powerhouse list of speakers— including Ashley Judd and Nicholas Kristof—a musical performance by Friendly Savages, more than 160 sessions, hands-on training and demos, Impact Awards, and so much more. It’s all coming together here—at bbcon 2015—to power your passion so that good can take over. We’re honored to have you join us. Thanks for being here! Mike #bbcon

From speaking out against mountaintop removal coal mining to testifying before the United Nations on labor slavery, Ashley has devoted her personal life to telling the stories of those in need. Her emphasis is on empowering girls and women, teaching medically accurate sex education, and combatting human trafficking. During this keynote SPONSORED BY session, she’ll share her experiences witnessing firsthand the challenges people around the world are facing and inspire you to take action for your cause. 5

The lounge is open during the entire conference so we invite you to stop by, tweet at us using #bbcon, or join us for one of our social media pop-up sessions led by Derrick Feldmann, Austin Graff, or Brady Josephson!

Austin Graff, former social media lead at International Justice Mission, will walk us through the digital and social media components of this—and other—successful campaigns and share how to create a movement using digital and social media. BRADY JOSEPHSON, CHARITY STRATEGIST, MARKETER, PROFESSOR, AND WRITER Donor retention rates are consistently low. Subscription purchasing is at an all-time high.
