Our detective arrives and alerts the guests that a crime will take place here tonight. Guests are deputized. The new deputies are given the tools they need to solve the crime and a few rules to follow. A gunshot is heard, a victim stumbles back in the room, dies and the “game’s afoot.” There is no stage. The action takes place among your guests. Our top-notch detective takes over the investigation and because the actors are mixed in with the guests, everyone’s a suspect! Our scripts range from wildly hilarious comedies to stories based on historical fact, and if you’re not careful, you might even learn something while you’re having fun. Our detective will lead the audience through the investigation as it twists and turns. The actors eat dinner at the tables with guests so the investigation never stops. Guests are encouraged to examine physical evidence and question the suspects, as our talented actors twist and turn the truth to cast suspicion on everyone but themselves. Come and discover why it’s no mystery that our guests come back again and again. Attend our shows at Angelo’s Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in Virginia Beach or we can bring our show to you wherever you are. Custom scripts can be written upon request. HISTORIC RIDING TOURS AND MEMORIALS BATTLE OFF THE CAPES MONUMENT: Chesapeake Bay area. A tribute to the September 5, 1781, sea battle in which a French fleet under Admiral Francois Joseph Paul, Comte de Grasse, effectively damaged a British fleet under Admiral Thomas Graves. Since the British fleet was sent back to New York for repairs, it was not in position to assist Lord Cornwallis’ troops in Yorktown. This enabled George Washington’s troops to overcome the British. In 1976, the French government presented a statue as a bicentennial gift to symbolize the French cooperation offered to the colonists during the American Revolution. Valid ID and/or passports required by each person in the vehicle as well as current vehicle/rental car registration for entrance. Located at Fort Story. 757-422-9421. FIRST LANDING CROSS: Chesapeake Bay area. Upon touching the shore of the New World on April 26, 1607, the first permanent English settlers from the London Company built a cross on the newly-named Cape Henry shore in gratitude to God and to affirm England’s claim to the site. These settlers later traveled up the James River to Jamestown. Each year a pilgrimage is organized by the Order of Cape Henry to celebrate this milestone. The present-day granite cross was erected in 1935 and is a national landmark. Valid ID and/or passports required by each person in the vehicle as well as current vehicle/rental car registration for entrance. Located at Fort Story. 757-422-9421.

NAVAL AVIATION MONUMENT: The bronze and granite monuments are constructed on a 16,000-square-foot, city-owned plot at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue. The memorial covers three eras of naval aviation. The first, from 1910, depicts the world’s first shipboard launch, which was made here in Hampton Roads by Eugene Ely from the U.S.S. Birmingham. The second represents World War II aviators preparing to man their planes. The third, from the Korean War to the present, illustrates modern aviators and flight deck personnel. Located at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

NEPTUNE STATUE: A bright icon arises on the oceanfront. Proudly welcoming both resident and visitor, this twenty-six foot, cast bronze King Neptune stands at the gateway to Neptune Park at 31st Ocean, at the threshold of the sea. Constructed entirely through the generosity of private contributions gathered by the Neptune Festival, this statue is dedicated to the city of Virginia Beach and its citizens. Surrounded by the creatures of his realm, his trident in hand, his gaze rests affectionately on the shore and his heroic visage says to all: “This is my world – this is my sea – welcome!” Located at the gateway to Neptune Park, 31st Street.

NORWEGIAN LADY STATUE: After the fatal wreck of the Norwegian bark Dictator on March 28, 1891, its wooden figurehead stood at the oceanfront as a memorial for 60 years. The city of Moss, Norway commissioned a nine-foot bronze replica of the original figurehead and presented the gift to Virginia Beach in 1962 to commemorate the tragic loss. An exact duplicate was erected in Moss to unite the two sister cities. Located at 25th Street and the Boardwalk.
