Membership of the Minnesota American Swedish Bicentennial Council can be found in the . 64-page souvenir program "Swedish Minnesota," along with details of the royal visit and numerous articles on Minnesota's Swedish heritage. The program is available for $3 at the auditorium or at the American Swedish Institute. Purposes of the Bicentennial Observance as adopted by the Minnesota American Swedish Bicentennial Council

The Bicentennial observance offers a particular opportunity to: 1. Recall our history and increase awareness of the contributions made by Swedish immigrants and their descendants. 2. Stimulate local, regional and statewide observances or events which contribute to such awareness. 3. Encourage and arrange for representation from Sweden to participate in the general Bicentennial observances. 4. Cooperate with any general Bicentennial activities or projects.
