THE JOB: FIELD FORCE EFFECTIVENESS ANALYST THE COMPANY: LEO PHARMA Objective of this role: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Field Force Effectiveness, the Field Force Effectiveness Analyst is primarily responsible for managing day-to-date reporting activities and providing key decision makers with data information and insights so that they can: analyze current business and make decisions related to future strategy and initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting:  Design, run and produce reports for the Dermatology and Thrombosis business units. This involves listening to internal customer needs so that the right reports are created.  Create and validate reports utilizing key 3rd party sourced data related to territory level sales and market share data (TSA, GPM, CRM) to provide insights for the field force into territorial performance against objectives.  Provide high quality customer service to internal customers to help answer questions related to data. Analysis:  Conduct proactive analysis (internal promotional data, competitive share of voice, Xponent doctorlevel data) to help identify key drivers of sales performance and key areas of opportunity / challenge.  Conduct activity analysis, business alignment (resource utilization vs potential), territory time, samples distributed and CHE budget management.  Provide actionable recommendations to sales management based on trends that appear in the data through analytical validation. Develop and present training to internal user groups to help ensure that those making decisions have the answers that they need and know where to get them.

 Listen to understand the sales force business needs and the different data sets, technologies and techniques available for measuring and tracking sales force effectiveness so that you are able to provide high quality support. Targeting and Segmentation: 

Working with Sales Force Management, formulate and present recommendations based on brand / promotional objectives regarding the measurements/sales force objectives that could leveraged to realize the identified objective i.e. sales and patient targets, samples, calls, focus on a specific specialty group etc.



Oversee and facilitate the annual development of sales force territory alignments. Provide sales management stakeholders with background information and recommendations to facilitate alignment finalization. Coordinate and communicate ‘finalized’ alignments as necessary to 3rd party data providers.



Develop & oversee the implementation of annual territory sales targets for each LEO sales force (Dermatology and Thrombosis). Develop models, and present required background information to gain consensus.



Provide recommendations on data to use, calendarization methodology, variable weighting and best practices. Build companion monthly reports to facilitate tracking of territory success vs. targets.



Working with Sales Force Management, develop the strategy that defines where our sales force should focus their efforts based on objectives and strategy.



In consultation with sales management, and other internal experts – and using the data available by brand, profile the Contacts / Accounts that LEO should focus on to gain the greatest potential for our efforts. Develop the necessary lists and information for IT to populate the ‘suggested’ target lists into the CRM. Document & present the rationale and parameters for ‘target list optimization’.

Education and Experience:  Bachelors Degree in Business related discipline  3-5 years of experience in a role that requires analytical skills; preferably in a health care environment  Excellent communication/writing skills  Experience writing business related communication a plus  High level of customer focus  Superior organizational skills  Must be a self-starter while maintaining the ability to work in teams  Shows adaptability in altering focus dependent on departmental needs  Experience in managing vendors/contracts  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with expertise of using advanced Excel features such as Pivot tables  Problem Solving and Decision Making  Individual should have a unique blend of strategic and tactical skills, with attention to process and detail, yet is able to draw "big picture" conclusions and make actionable business recommendations based on an understanding of strategic goals.  Strong interpersonal skills, written/oral communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience are highly essential.  Must have strong understanding of integrated data analysis, data modeling, and ad hoc analysis, with proven analytical skills, highly organized, process oriented, problem solving, self-motivated and able to think out-of-the-box.  Must demonstrate high degree of collaboration.  The position requires high ability to successfully work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment and the desire to learn new technologies and skills.  Some knowledge of primary market research and syndicated market research methodologies and applications for the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
