1. GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCT The device is used for joint action with monitoring devices and serves to transmit and receive data by radio channel at a frequency of 2.4 GHz 2. 3. OPERATING MODES Label has 3 modes of operation: 3.1. Common label mode. In this mode, the transceiver transmits its identification number at set time intervals. 3.2. Rotation sensor mode. In this mode, the integrated magnetic contact sensor (reed switch) is activated. When the reed switch responses, the label indicates what happened by inverse of 24th bit of its identification number and transmits this number in the next 5 responses of the reed switch. If the reed switch responses continue upon that (i. e. movement continues), the ID number is not changed, and the label switches to sleep mode. With the first reed switch response the time delay count starts („Interval“ in the adjustment program). If after this time the response does not occur, inverted bit is cleared and the label transmits its normal identification number 5 times with a time interval of 1 second (i. e. movement stopped).

3.2. Dry contact registration mode 3

In this mode, the magnetic contact sensor (reed switch) is activated. When the reed switch responses, the label indicates what happened by inverse of 24th bit of its identification number and transmits this number 5 times with a time interval of 1 second with delay from the moment of magnetic contact sensor („Interval“ in the adjustment program). 4. ADJUSTMENT SOFTWARE „RFID Tool“ program is used for the transceiver adjustment Program window is shown in the Fig. 1.

Fig.1 Adjustment program window Label operating parameters are displayed in the window „Label parameters“ S/N – serial number of the active label Current ID – identification number of the active label Label ID – window for the label ID change 4

Interval – window for displaying the current reed switch response time delay value and setting the new one for Rotation sensor and Dry contact registration modes in seconds. Sleep period – window for displaying the current time interval between label identification number transmits in seconds and setting the new one. Mode – window for displaying and setting the label mode Strength – window for displaying current label transmission strength and setting the new one. It is displayed in standard units in the range from 3 to 247. (see Table 1) Receive level – displays the current value of the signal level received from the label in dBm. Ver Soft – displays the label software version. Set button – records parameters, added to the appropriate fields, to the label. Read button – reads the parameters from the active (connected) label.

5. TRANSCEIVER ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE Make sure that there is data communication between the reader and adjustment program. 5.1 Adjustment connection To set parameters of the label it is necessary to power it by installation of a label cover so that the cover magnet was in one plane with the label magnetic contact sensor, which is marked with black. 5.2. Operating parameters setting After power-on, serial number and label ID will appear in the appropriate fields of the adjustment program window. In order to view the current label parameters, it is necessary to press „Read“ button. If the label parameters should be changed, it is necessary to enter the required values in the appropriate fields of the program and press „Set“ button. Then the values will be recorded to the label. If there is more than one label in the radius of action of a radio channel in the adjustment mode, settings can be read and set for the label, which serial number and ID are displayed in the program. 6. TRANSCEIVER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE. Transceiver housing has mounting „eyes“ for self-tapping screw/screw M4. 5

The transceiver is installed in any convenient place, preventing its mechanical damage. 7. OPERATION FEATURES The integral battery ensures continuous operation of the transceiver for several years. Particular service life depends on the selected operation mode and set operating parameters of the label.
