These are just some of the questions that will be answered by Palma Aquarium’s ocean tour guides during a guided tour of the aquarium. An interesting activity which opens the doors to a magical world with the expert guidance and knowledge of our guides. A fun way to learn about marine biology and specific facts and anecdotes about some of the more than 700 species represented at Palma Aquarium.

BACKSTAGE You can always learn something new. At Palma Aquarium we are well aware of that fact, and we hope to demonstrate it to those taking part in our backstage tour. Mallorca’s marine park is home to countless secrets which make its daily routine something of a mystery to be uncovered. With this activity your programme gains an educational angle which will open the minds of the participants to a world full of interesting facts such as where the water comes from, how the animals reproduce, the origin of the food, how we feed the different species and where any newly arrived or sick animals are kept in quarantine, and much more. Fun and facts combine in this unique activity which will make your incentive programme really stand out from other more traditional schemes.

Laughter Therapy Palma Aquarium launches a laughter therapy workshop with the aim of providing an activity where the participant disconnects and learns to be a little happier. In laughter therapy, the main objective is to recover diaphragmatic laughter, the deep and spontaneous laughter we have as children. In these sessions we will try to bring out the child within us, laughing and smiling while connecting with the joy of living. You will also learn to be happy. It’s your choice to complain and feel sorry for yourself, or to start laughing. This is your chance!

Treasure Hunt Palma Aquarium covers a surface of more than 12,000 metres squared, making it an ideal place to hold a gymkhana, an activity designed to satisfy the demand for fun and competitive company incentives. The aquarium offers a wide range of facilities, with a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, which means that this activity can be carried out at any time of year, regardless of the weather. We boast some exciting and atmospheric areas, such as the Jungle and the Big Blue, the deepest shark tank in Europe, which are great for various team activities; anything from a treasure hunt, to more physical feats and trials. To round off a day of demanding competition, we offer a celebratory cocktail party during which the winning team will be presented with their well-deserved prize.

Diving with
SHARKS Diving with sharks is an activity for those who hold a diving licence. Ever since this activity began it has revolutionised the world of diving along with sea experts and nature lovers. The visitor will get into the deepest shark tank in Europe known as the Big Blue, accompanied by a PAQ qualified instructor. They will both submerge into the 8.5 metre deep, 3.3metres long aquarium which holds 3.5million litres of natural salt water. They will delve into the depths of the underwater world that represents the vastness of the ocean and experience the exhilaration and thrill that only comes from being up close and personal with these remarkable animals. The Big Blue is home to sharks of 4 different species, sting rays, open water and coastal fish.

YOGA The stress that affects our everyday personal and professional life has prompted more and more people to seek out the support of disciplines based on relaxation and meditation. There is a wide variety of activities which promote a healthier and slower lifestyle, and yoga is by far the most popular. And that’s why Palma Aquarium has chosen yoga as one of its new group activities. We offer a yoga class led by an expert teacher which is made extra special by the relaxing surroundings in which the class takes place: in front of the Big Blue, the deepest shark tank in Europe, at 8.5 metres deep. Those lucky enough to have already tried this activity say it is magical; what could be more spectacular than to close your eyes in meditation within such a wonderfully relaxing space? This is a truly unique activity, available to everyone and ideal if you want to add an original and relaxing element to your incentive programme; it is great for calming the mind before or after a tiring day.
