Retraining Tax Credits The Georgia Tax Credit for Retraining of Employees provides tax credits to eligible businesses. The purpose of the Job Training Tax Credit is to help companies offset the costs of retraining employees that are affected by the implementation of new equipment or new technology. A business may be granted tax credits against its Georgia state tax liability:

equal to one half of the direct cost of retraining; up to $500 per approved training program per year for each full-time employee who has successfully completed an approved retraining program; The credit amount shall not exceed $1,250 per year per full-time employee who has successfully completed more than one approved retraining program

Professional Business Writing

Business Writing is a method of communicating that includes corresponding with others in the workplace, as well as external communications interfacing with the public or other organizations on behalf of the business. The first step to effective business writing is determining whether or not written correspondence is appropriate. Through the use of guidelines and practice, participants will learn to identify common situations in which written correspondence is necessary. This course will presents techniques for effectively planning, drafting and writing workplace correspondence. Participants will have the opportunity to draft formal business letters, interoffice memos and electronic mail. Emphasis will be placed on organizing clear and concise documents for various business situations. Participants will also learn the role tone plays in communicating business information. In addition, exercises will be provided to allow participants to edit and revise their work resulting in the increased confidence needed to write more easily and effectively. This four day workshop is recommended for safety, health and compliance professionals with a wide range of responsibilities such as plant operations and safety committee members. This in-depth outreach course covers specific OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to general industry and teaches safety awareness which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. Intended for workers with some safety responsibility, the 30-hour training covers safety and health hazards workers may face in industrial work sites.

If your company has a need to train forklift operators on an ongoing basis, then certifying one or more employees as instructors may be your best solution. Our Forklift Instructor Certification course provides a three‐ year operator license as well as instructor certification. The first day consists of operator certification. The second day is devoted to techniques for one‐on‐one and classroom training. Each Student Will Receive: (1) Forklift Operators Card valid for 3 years from completion date, (2) Forklift Train The Trainer Card with no expiration date, (3) Instructors Manual with all forms, quizzes, etc… in 3-ring binder for easy duplication, (4) electronic copy of forms, (5) PowerPoint Presentation with further forklift training media, (6) Written copy of basic Forklift Safety Training Program (meets OSHA approval and all compliance guidelines) will be included in Trainer’s Manual. HIGH DEMAND CAREER AREAS Certified Logistics Training (Associate & Technician Levels) CLA/CLT is an training program utilizing the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling workers. Employers in the distribution, warehousing, & manufacturing industries are interested in individuals with this nationallyrecognized training credential and certification.
