Sub: Outsourcing electrical, plumbing, water supply and carpentry maintenance works 1. TENDER CONDITIONS: 1.1.

The Tender shall be received up to 15:00 hrs on date mentioned above by the Chief Manager (Infrastructure), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Bannerghatta Road, BANGALORE560 076, and will be opened on the same day in the presence of Bidder or their authorized representative.

1.2.

You are requested to return the tender documents in sealed covers addressed to the Chief Manager (Infrastructure), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore-560 076.

1.3.

Late tender and conditional tenders are liable for rejection.

1.4.

IIMB does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any other quotation.

1.5.

The period allowed for maintenance of the work is for one year (The agreement will be in force for the remaining period of the financial year from the date of execution initially and further period of one year subject to satisfactory performance) from the date mentioned in the work order, to be placed on the successful bidder.

1.6.

Quotations other than this called for in the enclosed documents are liable for rejection.

1.7.

The successful bidder is requested to sign the work order prepared based on the quoted rates, placed on him by the accepting officer.

1.8.

The accepting officer reserve the right to place order as a whole or part of any item only as deemed fit.

1.9.

In case, the contractor/firm after quoting withdraw from the tender or refuse/delay in commencing the work or stop the work abruptly, their EMD/SD, as the case may be, will be forfeited.

1.10.

The Commercial Bid will be opened only if the contractor/firm qualifies in the Technical Bid. Incomplete details of the Technical Bid will be rejected summarily. IIMB reserves the right to reject any bid without assigning any reason.

1.11.

Intending Bidder should submit their application for tender along with the demand draft/cash of Rs.1,000/-(Rupees One thousand only- Non Refundable) obtained from any nationalized bank in favor of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore payable at Bangalore towards cost of tender processing/document.

TECHNICAL BID Sub: ‘Outsourcing electrical, plumbing, water supply and carpentry maintenance works at the IIMB campus’ The Bidders are requested to submit the following in the ‘TECHNICAL BID PART’.

1.12.1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Intending bidder who meets the following eligibility criteria may apply for the tender document. The request for tender document should accompany the required documentary evidence to prove their eligibility, failing which, the application will be rejected. a) Financial position: Average annual financial turn over (during last three years) ending 31st March of the previous financial years should be at least: (a) Rs. 8.58 lakh (Rupees Eight lakh & fifty-eight thousand only) b) Experience: Contractor should have experience of having successfully completed similar maintenance works as described below during last 5 years in any one of the following: (copy of the satisfactory performance certificate to be enclosed). i) Three similar completed maintenance works costing each not less than 11.50 lakh (Rupees Eleven lakh & fifty thousand only): OR ii) Two similar completed maintenance works costing each not less than 14.30 lakh (Rupees fourteen lakh and thirty thousand only): OR iii) One similar completed maintenance costing not less than 23.00 lakh (Rupees Twenty-three lakh only) c) Whether the service provider is in the field of Maintenance of Building for last 5 years. If yes, the names of clients (Please enclose proof); also please mention the details of running contracts.

d) The Contractor shall be in the business of providing maintenance service in their respective areas for the past five years continuously. Documentary evidence in support of this should be provided. e) The Electrical person employed must have completed IT1 (Electrician trade) or SSLC with wiremen license issued by Electrical Inspectorate, Government of Karnataka. f)

The person employed as plumber and carpentry must have completed ITI or should have minimum of two years’ experience in any government institution or autonomous education institution.

g) The contractor must be registered under PF Act, ESI Act and Shops & Establishments Act. Copy of registration papers along with code numbers attached to the agency/company should be provided. h) Mention the registration number, if the Maintenance of Building Agency is registered under Provident Fund Act, ESI Act. Copy of registration papers along with code numbers attached to the Agency may be provided. i)

Along with monthly invoice contractor must submit copy of deposits receipt made to ESI & PF pertaining staff working at IIMB for processing the payment.

Details of infrastructure in Bangalore (e.g. offices, No. of employees etc.)

1.12.2. EVALUATION General Firms shall not contact the Client on any matter relating to their Proposal from the time of opening of the Technical Proposal till the contract is awarded. If a firm wishes to bring additional information to the notice of the client, it should do so in writing at the address indicated. Any effort by the firm to influence the Client in the Client’s Proposal evaluation, Proposal comparison or contract award decisions may result in the rejection of the firms Proposal. Evaluators of Technical document shall have no access to the Financial Proposals until the technical evaluation and no objection is concluded.

The technical document submitted by the applicants will be evaluated on a maximum of 100 marks. Against this marking, the financial bids of those securing a minimum of 70 marks out of 100 shall only be opened. IIMB will carry out the evaluation of proposals of only the firms who satisfy the above criteria on the basis of their responsiveness to the Terms of Reference, applying the evaluation criteria and marking system specified in the Data Sheet. Each responsive proposal will be given a technical score. A proposal to be considered unsuitable shall be rejected at this stage if it does not respond to important aspects of the Terms of Reference or if it fails to achieve the minimum technical score indicated. 1.12.3. Selection criteria for pre bid qualification Bidders who fulfill eligibility criteria will be evaluated based on the following parameters: 1

1.12.4. Opening of Financial Proposal. The Director Indian Institute of Management Bangalore reserves the right to accept / reject any or all the application/ proposal in full or part thereof without assigning any reason whatsoever & his decision on all matter in this regard shall be final & binding.
