The challenge was to create an interior strategy that could be replicated in every branch to maintain a consistent corporate image while still reflecting the local neighborhoods. Northwest Framing Commercial (NWFC) has worked in close partnership with Umpqua Bank to translate ideas into framing solutions for all current and future locations. Recognizing the importance of its local business clients, Umpqua wanted something to celebrate their clients’ accomplishments. The result was a Hero Wall that makes use of a stretched canvas that tells the story in both text and images. Also utilized are numerous framed black and white historical images and colorful canvases that help present a consistent new vs. historical balance for the look and feel of any branch. Our partnership goes beyond simply fulfilling a single order. At NWFC, we strive to fully understand both immediate and long-term goals so that our customers can focus on other critical areas. Our ongoing design partnership includes sourcing art prints for tenant improvement projects as well as limited editions and original artwork for public spaces—for both new and existing facilities. This partnership also includes providing mirrors in bathrooms for new condo and residential tower projects. Collaborative work on The Vaux, a 145-unit, high-end development in northwest Portland, was one project that resulted in seamless integration from design stage through to installation.
