A single partner for many things instead of many partners Renovation of SHEV systems When smoke and heat exhaust systems start to age, customer advisory services and a professional upgrade are often not only expensive, but also involve a great deal of work. Not if you work with LAMILUX, however. Customer advisory services, tailored solutions, including control technology, and all work involved in the upgrade from a single source: if required, LAMILUX will handle the whole renovation package for you. We start with an initial survey to establish what the existing system contains, if the existing conditions comply with new statutory regulations and what the most cost-effective solution would be. We then draw up a design concept, arrange demolition and waste disposal, implement safety measures to protect your staff and assets, and install the system in close cooperation with established partners in the roof building sector. Our specialists are responsible for installing the complex control technology.
How you benefit:
• You receive a tailor-made, cost-effective solution.
• You can expect the shortest possible period for reconstruction
• You can expect production to continue in your facilities with as
little disruption as possible during renovation. • You save time and spare yourself unnecessary headaches, as you reduce management tasks and have a single contact person for all project matters 22
Failing to maintain makes you liable SHEV systems must work Smoke and heat ventilation system owners are required by law to perform all necessary measures to ensure that people are protected against danger in the event of a fire. If you do not maintain your SHEV system, you may be in breach of building safety regulations, EN 12101-2, DIN 18232, state directives and other directly or indirectly applicable laws. If you maintain your SHEV system on a regular basis, you will not only minimise risk of damage and injury considerably, but also liability risk. Inadequate maintenance will also make you liable. According to VdS guidelines, servicing can only be carried out by companies which can provide a promise from the SHEV system installer to deliver original replacement parts.
How you benefit with LAMILUX as your servicing company
• LAMILUX has delivery promises from all well-known manufacturers.
• Maintenance comprises a comprehensive system check
• Test log: all test findings and maintenance measures are recorded in a test log.
You will receive this maintenance log from LAMILUX after entering into a maintenance contract with us. You are required to keep
such a test log in compliance with both DIN 18232-2 and EN 12101-2 and the German VdS testing institution requirements and it
is also often a requirement by building authorities.

The technical data printed in this brochure was accurate when this brochure went to press and is subject to change without notice. Our technical specifications are based on calculations and supplier specifications, or have been determined by independent testing authorities within the scope of applicable standards. Thermal transmission coefficients for our composite glazing were calculated using the finite element method with reference values in accordance with DIN EN 673 for insulated glass. The temperature difference between the outer surfaces of materials was defined based on empirical values and the specific characteristics of the composites. Functional values refer to test specimens and the dimensions used in testing only. We cannot provide any further guarantees of technical values. This particularly applies to changes in installation locations, or if dimensions are re-measured on site.
