A Message From the Chairs Dear MOMs, Spring is finally here, the ground is thawing, and we are especially blessed to watch the world around us preparing for great beauty as we prepare our own hearts to embrace our Risen Lord! Our Lenten sacrifices may be a struggle or something we embrace as we learn that we are not slaves to our own desires, but our denial of our own wills makes us stronger and more fit for our Lord. Just as unruly children must be guided into truth, so do we discipline the desires of the flesh lest we miss the greater good God has for us. May the fasting, prayers, and almsgiving you do this Lenten season ready your heart for a truly Blessed Easter! We have many spiritual and service opportunities to offer this month. Please take the time to read about them and watch your email for upcoming evites. God bless you, Kelly & Kate

Eucharistic Adoration We are excited to announce that our MOMs Group has committed to an hour of Eucharistic Adoration in the St. Francis Adoration Chapel each week. Our time slot is each Thursday from 8-9 p.m. To help share this special commitment, please sign up for a date using the link below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc? key=0AjW3Q9mvNxzldFB2SV9td0pXNWc4MlRibWhJYkkwcXc&usp=s haring Although we need at least one Mom to commit each week, Thursday nights may prove to be a good time for you to get to the chapel regularly. Wouldn't it be awesome to see more than one of our Moms in the chapel lifting our SSPP families in prayer? We would encourage you to come every week you can, even if other moms have signed up already.

Rosary Playgroup Come join us with your intentions this Lenten season as we gather to pray the rosary at 9:30 AM. Friday, 4/4 at Grace Soraparu’s Home Thursday, 4/10 at Sandy Streu’s Home **Watch for the Evite to RSVP. Children are very welcome to play and/or pray. If you are interested in hosting a future rosary-playgroup, please sign-up on a scheduled date by clicking on the link below https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc? key=0AjW3Q9mvNxzldDBsbDZZbXpTa0d1eFdVT0NNVUpjMGc&usp=sharing

Spring Playgroups Are you looking for more social time for you and your children? Join one of our playgroups! Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are available. Contact [email protected]

Attention All Moms of Preschool Children and Kindergarteners Our parish has a wonderful Sunday School program for kids ages 3-5 and kindergarteners. Students meet during the 9:30 Mass (9:15-10:30) in the lower level of the Ministry Center. Enrollment for the fall is underway. The program has had low enrollment recently, and if a minimum number for children do not enroll, the program is in danger of being cancelled. Please seriously consider letting your child participate. You will be glad you did!

Come join the SSPP MOMs Group Walking Club!!! Are you looking to get fit, but need a motivator? Are you a mother of school-aged children, looking to stay connected with old friends or meet new ones? This is a great way to stay in shape and bond with other MOMs. Come and join our walking club. Our goal is to promote the physical, spiritual & mental health of MOMs through exercise. We will rotate walking locations weekly based on the preferred route a hosting MOM might designate. This will include neighborhoods, nature paths, trails, forest preserves, and the possibility of mall walking during the harsh weather in winter months. This is meant for those who are interested in enhancing physical endurance through energetic walking, not a leisurely stroll. Although all MOMs are welcome, it is recommended that children of participating MOMs be tolerant of approximately 2-3 miles of continuous movement at a vigorous pace. This club will meet Wednesdays from approximately 9:30am-10:30am, weather dependent. Please email the MOMs Group: [email protected] to indicate interest or contact Lynn Esser at: [email protected]

Volunteers Needed!! The fall may seem like a very long way away ... but we're already thinking about our next term! The MOMs Group is a very active group and a successful ministry in our parish, but it doesn't run itself! We need new volunteers to help plan our events and head up our committees. If you are interested in helping run some of our children's events, moms' events, service projects, or spiritual emphasis programs, or if you would like to help with our written communications, please let us know as soon as possible! We need the help, and you'll enjoy some fun events and our sincere gratitude! Contact the MOMs Group at [email protected] .

Service Project Our service project to offer a gift to a beloved and deserving college student from our parish is underway! Many of you have been blessed by the kind members of the Snyder family. The four children (ages 10-18) contribute to our parish as altar servers, Sunday School teachers, youth group members, missions volunteers, Waterleaf volunteers, child care volunteers, and so much more! Sadly, their mother, Debbie Snyder, lost her battle to cancer in December. The MOMs Group would like to offer a show of love and support to this family that gives so generously to our parish, especially to our own children. We are collecting donations of gift cards or cash/checks and will present it to Morgen as she prepares to graduate from high school soon and enter college. While we mourn with them that her mother cannot help prepare her to leave for college this summer, we hope the MOMs Group will be able to honor Debbie Snyder as a mom and show her children God's love as well. If you are able to contribute a gift, please contact the MOMs email address at [email protected] to arrange pick up/drop off. Checks should be made out to Saints Peter and Paul. Thank you!

April Events Monday, April 7th @ 3:30pm Teddy Bear Tea at St. Patrick's Residence 1400 Brookdale Rd, Naperville, IL 60563 Families are invited to bring a special stuffed animal to have a tea party with the residents. We will also have a special St. Patrick’s blessing.

Playgroup/Confessions - Tuesday, April 8th All moms are invited to take advantage of a playgroup time for the kids while moms (and older kids) attend Confession. Leave your little ones briefly in the care of friends while you receive the Sacrament. We encourage everyone to attend the Parish Mission talks at 9:00 with the Fathers of Mercy as well. Attend Confession afterward and enjoy the playgroup. If you are unable to attend the talk and wish to come just for Confession, please come to the nursery (lower level of the Ministry Center) by 10:30 to attend the Sacrament.

Meals For MOMs Our Meals for MOMs ministry is designed to help families put a hot meal on the table during a stressful or overly busy time. Most often, we’re providing dinners over a two-week period for women who have just welcomed a new baby into the home. But the ministry can reach out to other families too. If you know of a family who needs this ministry please do not hesitate to contact the MOMs group. If you enjoy cooking and would like to help out, do not hesitate to contact us or volunteer when a sign-up email is sent out.

Growing up Catholic, I have always felt  an innate drive to help others in need  and provide quality care through  fostering solid working relationships.  As  a professional, I learned the value of the  preservation of life through the  development of a healthy balance in  mind, body, and spirit.

At S.P.A.R.C. Chiropractic, our philosophy  is to build a working relationship with  patients by educating and coaching them  to eliminate & prevent pain, while  maximizing the body’s full movement  potential and incorporating healthy  lifestyle changes.  Today, as a result of  convenience, people sit far too long at  work, home or in their cars, and simply  don’t move enough.  Inactivity, poor  posture, faulty movement patterns, and  obesity are major leading causes of pain,  dysfunction, and poor health. It is our  goal for patients to understand the  connection between pain and poor  movement, or the lack thereof.   We strive to empower individuals to take  a more active role in the restoration,  preservation, and optimization of their  own health.  A major component in this  process is the utilization of functional  medicine. Functional medicine addresses  the underlying root causes of disease and
