Flinn/SciMatCo® Acid Cabinets A separate, polypropylene, nitric acid compartment is available as an accessory to isolate nitric acid or nitric acid spills from other products stored in the acid cabinet. Holds up to five 2.5-litre bottles. We urge the purchase of this accessory to avoid reaction between corrosives, particularly between nitric and acetic acids.
All polypropylene .125″ thick.
Optional polypropylene nitric acid compartment available.
Top recessed to include a liquidtight polypropylene tray. Tray will hold 12 litres of spilled liquid. Use this top tray as a dispensing area.
Entirely constructed of 1″ thick, high density, exterior grade, 9-ply plywood and finished with Super ChemTuff ™ Paint.
One fixed-position shelf included. Large 2.5-litre acid bottles can fit on both top and bottom shelves.

Acid Cabinet Life Expectancy We have never understood why anyone would make and sell a metal (even stainless steel) cabinet for the storage of corrosives that will soon destroy the metal. Protection from the Flames of a Fire

Protection from Corrosive Environment
A wooden flammables cabinet will not rust. All metal hardware components are corrosion resistant.
Many flammable cabinets are located near the acid cabinet or in a poorly ventilated store room. A metal flammables cabinet may begin to rust within the first year even if no corrosives are stored in it.
