Heron Point by Pete Dye
After a multimillion-dollar reconstruction project, The Sea Pines Resort introduced Heron Point by Pete Dye in late 2007. Designed by legendary course architect Pete Dye, Heron Point is nothing short of a modern work of art, the centerpiece of any Hilton Head Island golf vacation. Fairways have been reshaped into dramatic angles and shifting elevations, while surfaces are
a mixture of sand, mulch, limestone and different grasses offering a kaleidoscope of appealing color changes. As the second Hilton Head Island golf course at The Sea Pines Resort designed by Pete Dye, Heron Point lives up to its prestigious reputation with challenging new features. Ocean Course
As the first course built on Hilton Head Island, our Ocean Course embraces the true coastal golf experience. Exquisitely rebuilt in 1995 by Mark McCumber, this breathtaking Hilton Head Island golf course poses delightful challenges to novices and veterans alike. Dress Code
We strongly encourage a standard of dress that is commensurate with the tradition and heritage of the game. Gentlemen are required to wear collared or golf-specific shirts. Denim is not permitted for ladies or gentlemen.
Private Lessons
Lessons are conducted by Rick Barry, named in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Instructors 2002 to 2010, and his excellent staff of skilled golf professionals. Rick is the Head Teaching Professional at The Sea Pines Resort Plantation Club driving range, and was awarded ‘Teacher of the Year’ for the Carolinas section of the PGA 2010. Rick has been a PGA life member for 38 years and teaches over 2,000 lessons a year. Lessons are available for individuals, couples and small groups.

Court Fees*
Guests of The Sea Pines Resort: Two hours of complimentary court time per day and unlimited walk-on play. General public: $25 per hour with reservations. Court times are based on availability and may not be available during tournaments and special events. During The Heritage Golf Tournament, April 18-24, The Sea Pines Racquet Club will run all tennis programs and events, except for the Monday Night Exhibition. Court time will be limited during the event and the 3 weeks following. Starting Monday, April 18 through Sunday, April 24, players must park at The Plantation Club. We will provide shuttle service from The Plantation Club to The Racquet Club. Pro Shop Hours will be 7:45am - 5:15pm.
