Key players in the Norwegian innovation process The Research Council of Norway (NRC) is the official body for the development and implementation of national research strategies. NRC is responsible for awarding grants for research as well as promoting research and science Innovation Norway is the Norwegian Government's instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprises and industry. Norwegian enterprises have access to a broad business support system as well as financial means. Innovation

SIVA – The Industrial Development Corporation of Norway. Aims to develop strong regional and local industrial clusters through ownership in infrastructure, investment and knowledge networks as well as innovation centers.

NASA Astronauts at SINTEF ICT April 13th 2007 the NASA astronauts Mark L. Polansky og Nicholas J. M. Patrick inspected the gas measurement system (ANITA) at SINTEF ICT in Oslo. ANITA went to the Space Station on Eandevour STS-118 10. august 2007.
