RCMP Veterans’ Association Convention & Annual General Meeting June 5 to 8, 2014

Friendship. Support. Stay Connected!

On behalf of Members of Ottawa City Council, it is my distinct pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all those partaking in the Convention and Annual General Meeting of the RCMP Veterans’ Association, “RendezVous Ottawa 2014”, taking place in the heart of our nation’s capital from June 5th to 8th 2014. I am delighted to offer my moral support to the “Rendez-Vous Ottawa 2014” organizers for providing a valuable opportunity to connect and re-connect with those you've served with across this great country. As Head of Council, I want also to congratulate the RCMP Veterans’ Association, along with the guest speakers and sponsors for dedicating efforts, expertise and resources to this important meeting of national scope. As Mayor of the host city, I invite visitors to explore Ottawa City Hall, housing the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame, Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, and the Ottawa Art Gallery Annex, exhibiting works by the Group of Seven and their contemporaries. Allow me to convey my best wishes to the participants for a productive and rewarding gathering, as well as to the visitors for an enjoyable stay in Ottawa. Sincerely,

Cordialement,

Jim Watson Mayor/Maire

Message from the President, Ottawa Division

Welcome to “Rendez-Vous Ottawa 2014”! Under the able leadership of Bill Lenton and his team, we fully intend to make your stay with us memorable. For many of you, Ottawa is a place that will hold its own memories from earlier postings. For those of you who missed or evaded a tour through National Headquarters, we wish you well in discovering the magic of the National Capital Region. Aside from good fellowship and social highlights of the AGM, we trust that you will find the workings of the business agenda compelling enough to get you thinking about playing a more active role in either your local or national affairs of the Association! Best regards,

Graham Muir
