Product registration form Define the form to your needs When the product registration form is opened, it should open on the sheet “Article Type”, however if the file is saved in another sheet, this will not be the case. Therefore you have to always makes sure, that the you are on this sheet.

At the top of the sheet ”Article Type”, you will find the button ”Choose properties of the article”. Press this button. It will open a menu (see below), where you can define the type of your product.

As a vendor you have to check:

”Vendor”, this will remove all non-vendor specific information “Article Category”, Here you choose the category to which the article refers. “Salling specific form”, if the article is to be sold ONLY in Salling.

When you have made your choices press “OK”, and the registration form will appear, with the information needed to register your product. The registration form will appear differently according to the choices you have made on the previous screen, however in the following, you will find an explanation of all possible information.

Picture If the registration of the product requires a picture, you can find a button at the top of the document, named “Insert Picture”. If you want to insert a picture simply press the button and insert the picture you want. Please do not change the size, dimension etc. of the picture. Be aware that the button will appear on all forms, which means you do not necessarily have to insert the picture even though the button is available. The picture cannot be used in future leaflets, and other marketing efforts, and will only be used for internal purposes in DS.

The picture will now appear in a pre-determined position, size and shape, please do not change these factors. If the dimensions are off, compared to the preset dimensions the DS purchasing department will change this later.

Product registration form To fill the product registration form, you simply have to choose the cell just below the header you want to fill in the information for, and type the information. E.g. to fill in Your company name, choose the cell below “Vendors name” and fill in your company name.

Provide all the information needed to register Your article in this way. The following is an explanation of all the possible information you can be asked to fill in. Basic data

Country of origin In this cell you have to provide the country where the main part of production has happened. BE AWARE! We need the made in country, not the country where your company resides. This is a required field, and you will not be able to save the document, if no information is given in this cell.

Sales rules If any of the sales rules, you will find in the dropdown menu in this cell, apply choose it here.

Brand If the product is a brand product, provide the brand name here. E.g. Coca Cola, Tefal etc.

Private label If the product is to be sold as a private label, provide the name of the private label here. E.g. Vores, Budget, Princip.

Environmental/Health/Etc. Labels In this cell you have to provide any labels that apply to the product. E.g. Svane, Astma og allergi etc.

License name If the product contains pictures, names etc. that require license from a third party, provide the name of the third party here. E.g. If the product is a lunch box with a picture of Mickey Mouse, provide Disney in this cell.

Release date If DS are to buy the product, before we can legally sell it, provide the release date of the product. This mainly apply to DVD/Blu-ray/PC- or console games/Books etc.

Vendor’s name Provide the name of your company here.

Vendor’s contact (e-mail) Provide the contact e-mail of the person, who completed this form. This will be used by the purchase department, to contact this person, in case of questions.

Alarm tag If the product is to be tagged with an alarm, mark with an “x” here. This is important, as we use this information, to warn our employees at the self-service register, in order to make sure that our customers do not set of the alarm with products they have paid for.

Article description (English, max 40 characters) Provide this information according to the following rules: 1. The description must be in English 2. The description must maximum be 40 characters long (See cell “M14”, where the number of characters are counted) The cell turns red, if you go above the limit 3. The description must be structured in the following way: Brand, product description, content. E.g. VORES STRAWBERRIES 500 G.

Article description (Danish, max 40 characters) Provide this information according to the following rules, IF you speak Danish: 1. The description must be in Danish 2. The description must maximum be 40 characters long (See cell “M17”, where the number of characters are counted) The cell turns red, if you go above the limit 3. The description must be structured in the following way: Brand, product description, content. E.g. VORES JORDBÆR 500 G.

Number of sales units per carton Provide the number of sales units packed into one carton. For a description of sales unit, see below.

Number of cartons per outer carton Provide the number of cartons packed into one outer carton. For a description of carton and outer carton, see below.

Number of cartons per layer Provide the number of cartons per layer. For a description of a layer, see below.

No. of cartons/pallet Provide the number of cartons on a pallet. For a description of a pallet, see below.

Order unit/EAN Here you have to provide the EAN number of the number DS have to order the product in. E.g. if DS have to order in cartons, provide the EAN number of the carton. Logistics data

Sales unit A sales unit is the unit the product is to be sold in, in stores. Hence not necessarily a single unit of the product, but the unit it is displayed in, on the shelf, and sold in.

Carton A carton is the unit, that the sales unit is packed into. The carton can vary in size from 1 up to a much higher number of sales units. Usually this unit will be the ordering unit, as well as the transporting unit for the DS stores.

Outer carton An outer carton is a unit where the cartons are packed into e.g. a bigger box.

Pallet A pallet, is a transporting unit, usually consisting of a wooden bottom frame. The pallet comes in the following sizes ¼ (quarter pallet 600 mm * 400 mm), ½ (Half pallet 800 mm * 600 mm), 1/1 (Pallet or Euro pallet 1200 mm * 800 mm) and 1,5/1 (Stock pallet 1200 mm * 1000 mm)

EAN Provide the 11 digit EAN number, that is specific to the different units of measure

Gross weight(g) Provide the weight, including packaging, in grams. Meaning, provide the TOTAL weight of this unit of measure. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell.

Net Weight(g) Provide the weight, excluding the packaging of this unit of measure, in grams. Meaning exclude the weight of the packaging, of this unit of measure, and only this unit measure. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell.

Height (mm) Provide the height of the unit of measure in millimeters. For a description of height, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell. Height is the measurement from the shelf to the top of the article.

Width (mm) Provide the width of the unit of measure in millimeters. For a description of width, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell. Width is the measurement of the side, that faces the customer, when the article is placed on the shelf.

Depth (mm) Provide the depth of the unit of measure in millimeters. For a description of depth, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell. Depth is the measurement of the article from the side that faces the customer, when placed on the shelf, to the side facing away from the customer, when the article is placed on the shelf.

Shortest (mm) Provide the length of the shortest side, of the unit of measure, in millimeters. For a description of the shortest side, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell.

Medium (mm) Provide the length of the medium side, of the unit of measure, in millimeters. For a description of the medium side, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell.

Longest (mm) Provide the length of the longest side, of the unit of measure, in millimeters. For a description of the longest side, see below. BE AWARE! It is only possible to type in numeric values in this cell.

Description of dimensions

Net content Provide the content, in the units provided in content unit. E.g. 1. The content is 100 ml. provide 100, and type ml. in content unit 2. The content is 1 kg. provide 1, and type kg. in content unit 3. The content is 1 pcs. Provide 1, and type pcs. In content unit.

Content unit Provide the unit of which the net content is given in.

Pallet type Mark with an “x” in the cell that corresponds to the pallet.

Planned delivery time Provide the planned delivery time, from ordering to delivery, in days. Meaning if you deliver at a DS warehouse provide the time in days, from a DS order, to you can deliver at the DS warehouse. If you deliver directly to stores provide the days it will take you from an order to delivery in the store.

Durability Provide the total durability of the product in days.

Supplier durability Provide how many days of the total durability, you maximum have. E.g. the total durability is 300 days, you have 50 days, provide 50.

Composite Mark with an “x” if the product is sold or delivered as a composite good. A composite is a good, that is delivered or sold in 2 or more, separate, boxes of different sizes. E.g. A set of garden furniture. The table is delivered and sold in a separate box of one size, and the chairs are delivered and sold in another box of another size.

Carton type Provide “Box” if the carton is a box, or “Bag” if the carton is a bag.

Optimization unit Provide an optimization unit, if any apply. An optimization unit, is the unit of measure, that is the best unit for you, for DS to order in, or e.g. if DS have order a number divided by 1.000.

Temperature requirements Provide the required temperature of the article, in centigrade. E.g. -18 for ice cream.

Min. order Provide the minimum order, for you to accept the order.

Delivery cycle Provide the cycle of delivery. Meaning when do you ship an order. E.g. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Controlled label If the article brand is a controlled label, provide an “x”. A controlled label is a vendor owned brand, that DS have exclusive rights to sell.

Bottle deposit type Provide an “x”, if the product have Danish bottle deposit. Click on the header, and fill in additional information (See below).

Order unit Provide how many sales units are in an order unit.

Raw materials

Ripening Provide the ripening period on stock, in days. Tax – Import only

Chocolate Provide how many percent of the product is chocolate, or how many grams of the product is chocolate.

Nuts Provide how many percent of the product is nuts, or how many grams of the product is nuts.

Candy Provide how many percent of the product is candy, or how many grams of the product is candy.

Alcohol Provide how many percent of the product is alcohol, or how many grams of the product is alcohol.

Ice cream Provide how many percent of the product is ice cream, or how many grams of the product is ice cream.

Peanuts Provide how many percent of the product is peanuts, or how many grams of the product is peanuts.

Coconut Provide how many percent of the product is coconut, or how many grams of the product is coconut.

Apricot kernels Provide how many percent of the product is apricot kernels, or how many grams of the product is apricot kernels.

Textile content Provide the percentages of all the different fabrics in the article. E.g. 40% cotton 30% Elastan, 30% silk.

ISBN Provide the ISBN number of the book. The ISBN number is a number specific to the title, edition and author of the book.

WEEE Product weight Provide the total weight of the product, excluding all packaging, in grams.

WEEE Batteries weight and type Provide the total weight of the products batteries in grams.

Serial no./IMEI Provide the products serial- or IMEI number. If a series of serial-/IMEI numbers are available, press the header, and provide the entire series on the sheet “Serial no. – IMEI” Order data Chains You may provide information for the following chains • • • • • • • • •

If the information is the same for all chains, you may provide the information for føtex only. Otherwise you have to provide the differentiated information per chain. Provide information, for chains the article is to be sold in only.

Buying price per unit Provide the price DS is to pay for the article, in the unit provided below, in the currency provided below. E.g. If DS is to pay 2,35 $ per kg. Provide 2,35, provide kg. in price unit and USD in currency. If DS is to pay 100 DKR per 1.000 pcs. Provide 100, provide 1.000 pcs. In price unit and provide DKR in currency

Price unit Provide the unit of which the price is given above. See explanation under Buying price per unit.

Currency Provide the currency, in which the price in buying price unit, is given. See explanation under Buying price per unit. Sales data

Rec. sales price Provide the requested sales price if any are available.

Comments Provide any additional comments, that you find relevant for the DS purchasing department.

Additional information When you type information into a cell with a blue header, the header acts like a link to a sheet containing additional data for the product. Simply press the header, and you will be directed to the sheet, where you have to provide information for the rows and columns with a green header. The dimensions of the product will lead you to a sheet containing explanatory pictures, and you will NOT have to provide information on this sheet, ONLY on the registration form.

The following is an explanation of the additional pages. Serial no. data/ IMEI no. Provide the serial and/or IMEI no. for the product(s) See explanation above. Bottle deposit On this sheet you need to provide data regarding the bottle deposit information, if this apply.

Deposit type In this cell you have to provide the type of deposit the product haves. A – small, B-medium and C-large.

Unit name Provide the name of the unit, e.g. 1 bottle 6-pack etc.

Deposit EAN Sales Unit Provide the EAN for one sales unit of the product.

Vendor deposit article number Insert your vendor specific deposit article number.

Number of sales units Provide the number of sales units in the order unit. Measurements

Dimensions of a sales unit In this box you see the explanatory picture of the dimensions of a sales unit. It is extremely important that you provide the correct data for this part!! The dimensions of a sales unit are the dimensions of the product, as it is displayed in the stores. This means that the height e.g. is the length from the bottom to the top of the product, the depth is the length from the front of the shelf to the side furthest away from the front of the shelf and the width is the length of the side facing the customer.

Dimensions of a distribution/inventory unit In this box you see the explanatory picture of the dimensions of a distribution/inventory unit. It is extremely important that you provide the correct data for this part!!. The dimensions of a distribution/inventory unit are the dimensions of the product, as it will be stored at the warehouse. This means that the longest side is simply the longest side, the shortest, the shortest etc.

Additional sheets In addition to the sheets mentioned above, you will find buttons in the bottom of the page, that will lead you to the below explained sheets. To go to the sheets simply press the wanted button. The following is an explanation of the four sheets Multiple articles If the product registration details apply for more than one product, several articles can be registered through the Multiple articles sheet . Simply fill the information, that is different from the information already provided in the product registration form, for each article on this sheet, after providing the information from the initial product on the product registration sheet. If product registration requires pictures, fill out the form, and insert the picture, using the “Insert pictures” button, after the form is completed. The program will jump through the forms, and you simply have to insert the picture matching the description to the left of the explore box. Remember to insert the pictures, AFTER all forms are completed, otherwise you will have to put in pictures for the same article several times.

Display If the product is part of a display you have to provide a separate registration form and note this in the comment for both the display and the new article. Additionally you have to provide the information for the display: Article name, Article EAN and Quantity, for each article, in the display, on the sheet “Display”. If you want to register a new display, you can provide the information’s of the display in the “Product registration” sheet. Information’s for each article in the display can then be provided in the “Multiple articles” sheet. Set of goods If the set of goods consists of new articles, a separate product registration form must be filled in for each new article. Note this in the comment field, for all new articles. Additionally you have to provide the information for the display: Article name, Article EAN and Quantity, for each article, in the display, on the sheet “Set of Goods”. A set of goods, is an article sold as a single entity, that contains to separate articles. E.g. A set of garden furniture, that contains a table and chairs.
