3. Functional Description This PIN-TIA ROSA (PIN-preamplifier module) is a low-cost capable receiver module for use in the Giga Bit Ethernet systems. A photodiode and a preamplifier are mounted into a coaxial package integrated with a sleeve for the LC optical connector. The component of a high-speed and low-noise preamplifier and the photodiode obtains high sensitivity and a stable operation. The module is applicable for 1.31µm/1.55µm optical fiber communication systems for Giga Bit Ethernet, typically showing a high sensitivity of –22dBm.
