The Crew
Angelina Corbin (7th, Cinderella) Angelina was seen in HMS’s productions of Scrooge the Musical (Isabel) and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (ensemble). She has also appeared in Thornebrooke Elementary’s productions of A Christmas Carol (ensemble) and Alice in Wonderland (Alice). She takes voice and piano lessons with Nishaa Carson. Angelina’s electives and activities include Ranger Chorus, Theatre 2, Beginning Dance, and Volleyball. Angelina thanks her mom and dad for always supporting her, Ms. Carson for inspiring her to be a better singer, and Mrs. Litz for introducing her to musical theatre.
Callie Skaggs (7th, Stage Manager) Callie has been a part of the Tech Crew for the last two HMS productions, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (Sound Crew) and Scrooge the Musical (Stage Manager). Her activities and electives include Piano, Acting 2, Thespians, Aerial & Lyra. Thank you to the Howard musical family for “always accepting me with open arms and smiles.”
Hannah Pierce (8th, Stepmother) Hannah has extensive stage experience. She has been in The Rep Theatre’s Crazy for You (Millie-showgirl); HMS’s Scrooge the Musical (Mrs. Cratchit); Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (Mrs. Meers); Once on this Island, Jr. (gossiper/villager); Once upon a Mattress (Lady Rowena); and Magic Curtain Productions’ Aesops Fables (Lucy). Her electives and activities include Chorus, Acting, Graphic Design, Voice (with Megan Penfield), BETA and NJHS. Hannah plans to attend Dr. Phillips HS in the Theatre Magnet. She thanks her parents for helping her to attend this amazing school, her teachers for their support, and her friends for the most spectacular years of middle school. Colleen Jones (8th, Portia) Colleen has been in the ensembles at Howard for Scrooge the Musical; Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr.; Once on this Island, Jr.; Once upon a Mattress; and Yes, Virginia the Musical. At Magic Curtain Productions, she was in Seussical the Musical (Sour Kangaroo). Her electives and activities include Piano, Graphic Design, Dance, Chorus, Show Choir, BETA, NJHS and Religion Confirmation Class. Colleen plans to attend Dr. Phillips HS in the Theatre Magnet. The Crew Erica Reilly (8th, Stage Manager) Erica is a veteran HMS crew member. She has been involved in several HMS productions, including Yes Virginia, the Musical; Once Upon a Mattress; Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr.; and Scrooge the Musical. Erica’s electives include Dance and Pre-Law. She would like to thank Jesse “for being a true inspiration, and being her first real friend in the production of Yes Virginia.”
It has been a fabulous year watching the two of you on stage together! Hannah, we can’t wait to see what you do at Dr. Phillips High School, as you pass the torch to your sister. Maggie Pierce (6th) Maggie has appeared in HMS’s Scrooge the Musical, and in Princeton Elementary’s productions of Alice in Wonderland (Alice) and Cinderella (Queen Ella). She has also been in Magic Curtain Productions’ Aladdin (Genie) and Aesop’s Fables; and The Orlando Rep’s Aladdin (ensemble). Her electives include Dance, Theatre, and Beginning Chorus. Maggie would like to thank her parents, Mrs. Megan Penfield, Ms. Horohoe, Mrs. Caya, Mr. Penfield and her family.
Kayriz Reyes-Rodriguez (7th) Kayriz has appeared on the HMS stage in the ensembles of Scrooge the Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. and Once on this Island, Jr. Her electives and activities include Show Choir, Ranger Chorus, Gym and Intermediate Dance. She is also a member of the Florida Opera Theatre Youth Company. Matria Rush (6th) This is Matria’s first time on the Howard stage, but not to theatre. She has performed with Not Just Dance in Alice in Wonderland (White Rabbit), Honk (Swan Mother), Peter Pan (a fairy), Seussical (Bird Girl) and 101 Dalmatians (Cruella’s Evil Side Kick). Her electives and activities include Theater, Dance, Photography, Piano and Singing. She would like to thank her mom and dad for encouraging her and “for always helping her through rough times.”
Christopher Thornton (8th) This is Christopher’s first time on the Howard stage. His electives and activities include Music Theory, Acting, PE, Band, Football and Basketball. Christopher would like to thank Ms. Raab, Mr. Penfield, Ms. Speight, Mrs. Caya, Ms. Katner, and the PKZ Community.
Erich Vanderberg (6th) Erich recently performed in Scrooge the Musical (Tom Jenkins). His activities and electives include Boys Chorus, Show Choir, Theatre, Dance and Soccer. Erich thanks his parents, grandparents. He would also like to thank Mr. Penfield, “for all his support”, Mrs. Caya, “for all the awesome dancing skills”, and Ms. Horohoe, “for her theatrical direction”.
Le’Anna Wilson (7th) Le’Anna was seen in HMS productions of Scrooge the Musical (ensemble) and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (ensemble). Her electives include Dance, Orchestra, Band and Chorus. Sabrina Miller (7th) This is Sabrina’s debut on the HMS stage. Her electives and activities include Show Choir, Ranger Chorus, 3D Art, Piano and Rock Climbing. Sabrina wants to thank her parents and family, Amber Riner, Mr. Penfield and “all my wonderful teachers.”
Zoe Devaliant (7th, the Godmother) Zoe has appeared in HMS’s Thoroughly Modern Millie,
Petra Nguyen (7th) Petra is new to the HMS stage. Her activities and electives include Crew with Edgewater Junior Eagles, Guitar, Art and Graphic Design. Petra would like to thank her family, friends, and Ms. Kincaid from Bach Festival society.
Santiago Sepulveda (7th, the Prince) This is Santiago’s debut. Elective classes include Advanced Art, Chorus, Music Theory and PE. Special thanks to “my mom, dad, brother, sister, and all my teachers for giving me the confidence to tryout, and for giving me the knowledge I need to succeed in life.”
Quinn Nguyen (7th) This is Quinn’s first time to the stage. Her electives are Band, Ranger Chorus and Beginning Photography. She would like to thank her parents, family and friends “for supporting her”; Ms. Adkins “for being my favorite teacher”; and Mr. Penfield and Mr. Wille.
Tayler King (8th, the Queen) Tayler is a veteran on the HMS stage. She has appeared in the Bully Plays (serving wench); Once upon a Mattress (ensemble); Once on this Island, Jr. (ensemble); Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (typist); and Scrooge the Musical (Ghost of Christmas Past). She was also Baloo in Dover Shores Elementary’s production of Jungle Book. Tayler’s electives and activities include Ranger Chorus, Intermediate Dance, Forensic Studies, Student Council, BETA Club, GSA, and Volunteer at Semper Fidelis. She plans to attend Boone H.S. Tayler thanks the production team “for the best experience ever”, Mrs. Keith, her mom, Dylan, Grandma and Ojay “for being there through thick and thin.”
Beck Partridge (7th) Beck has appeared in Scrooge the Musical (young Scrooge) at HMS;
Joshua Dennis (8th, the King) Josh has been in the HMS productions of Scrooge the Musical, (Ghost of Christmas Present); Once Upon a Mattress (Knight #1); and Once on this Island, Jr. (Gatekeeper); Bully Plays (Boopie); and The People’s Theatre production of The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin). His activities and electives include Band, Chorus, Show Choir, Student Council, The Rep Summer Stock, and Magic Carpet Production’s Acting Troupe. Josh was selected for All-County Honor Choir for two years, and the Male Honor Choir this year. He thanks his friends and family for believing in him, and the production team for making his three years at HMS the best of his life.
Peter Pan at the Orlando Repertory Theatre; Mary Poppins (Bert), Annie (Daddy Warbucks), and Jack and the Beanstalk (Jack) at MCA; and Alice in Wonderland (White Rabbit) at Princeton Elementary. Beck takes private voice, piano, and French horn lessons. His electives and activities include Boys Chorus, Advanced Band, Orchestra, BETA and Baseball. Beck would like to thank David Foust, his parents, and God.

Michael-Anthony Mitchell (7th, the Herald) This is Michael’s third show at Howard. He has appeared in Scrooge the Musical (Bob Cratchit) and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. (Ching Ho). His electives include Boys Chorus, Wind Ensemble, and Theatre 2. He thanks his mom and dad, step-dad, grandparents, his friends, Ms. Adkins, and all the fabulous teachers who “support me in every way.”
DJ Palinckx (7th, the Chef) DJ has appeared in HMS’s Once on This Island, Jr. (ensemble), as well as numerous times with the Orlando Rep, including The Christmas Story (Scut Farkus); Honk (Reporter); Music Man (ensemble); Little Mermaid (King Triton); and Cinderella (The Prince). His electives and activities include Law Studies, Acting 2, Chorus, Intermediate Orchestra, BETA, and Frisbee Club. DJ wants to thank his mom, dad, his brother Blake, and two sisters. He’d also like to thank Mr. Penfield, Ms. Horohoe, and Mrs. Caya, for “supporting me and helping me become a better actor.”

Ensemble Cast Bios Emmett Higgins (6th) This is Emmett’s first year at HMS, but he has appeared in many Movement Arts Productions, The Wizard of Oz (Cowardly Lion), Into the Woods (Pinocchio), Suessical (Conrad), and the Nutcracker (Nutcracker). Emmett has studied dance at Avanti Dance, Orlando Ballet and Movement Arts. Activities and electives include Theater 1, Music Theory, Intermediate Dance, Dance Troupe and Odyssey of the Mind 2014 3rd at World Competition. Emmett wants to thank Gina Hatch, his mom, dad, Charlene Norato and Ethan Long.
Jurnie Jacome (7th) Jurnie has been involved with HMS productions since sixth grade. She

She has also been in many shows with Magic Curtain Productions, including School House Rock (Taylor), Orphan Train (Mary), Alice in Wonderland (Cheshire Cat), 101 Dalmatians (Anita), and Aladdin (Harem Girl). She has taken voice lessons for two years, and is a member of the Youth Tribe at Center Pointe Community Church. Gracie studies Music Theory, Theatre, and Chorus. She thanks Magic Curtain for “helping her follow her dream”; her friends and family; and the Staff of Cinderella.
Melinda Alcius (8th) Melinda has been in the ensembles of two HMS productions - Scrooge

Evelyn Lambert (8th) This is Evelyn’s debut on the Howard stage. Her electives and activities include Orchestra, Band and Track. Next year, Evelyn plans to attend Jones H.S. Many thanks to Grandma and Uncle Derrick.
Kate Aldinger (7th) This is Kate’s debut on the stage. Her electives and activities include, Intermediate Dance, Theater, Ranger Chorus, and All-Star Cheerleader (with both High Performance Cheer and Avalon Pop Warner) Kate has also been a member of the Girl Scouts for 8 years.
Brent Locquiao (8th) Brent’s HMS credits include Thoroughly Modern Mille, Jr. (Ensemble);
Amaia Ariail (6th) Amaia has appeared in many productions at Princeton Elementary, including Odyssey of the Mind (Graffiti Girl 2012/13 and Queen 2013/14) and Cinderella (Lucifer). Electives and activities include Chorus, Fiber Arts, Theater 1, 2-D Art 1, Dance (at Movement Arts Studio), Voice (with Natalie Graham), Soccer (at Maitland Club) and Church Youth Group (at First Church of Christ). “Thank you to my parents, Natalie Graham, and all my teachers for pushing me to do my best.”
Once on this Island, Jr. (Ensemble); Once Upon a Mattress (Knight #2); and Yes, Virginia the Musical (Ensemble). He has also performed with Magic Curtain Productions in The Little Mermaid (Merman), The Secret Garden (Archibald), Alice in Wonderland (King of Hearts), and Seussical Jr. (Horton). He is a member of the HMS Elite Dance Troupe, and both BETA and National Junior Honor Societies. He is part of the Advance Teen Company at Art from the Heart Dance Studio. Brent will be attending Dr. Phillips HS for Dance next year. He would like to thank his family, friends and all his teachers for their support.

Ensemble Cast Bios Zamya Arvelo (6th) This is Zamiya’s musical debut. Electives and activities include Theatre, Chorus, Music Theory and Volleyball. Thank you to Mr. Penfield “for teaching me more of what I can do with my voice”, and to Ms. Horohoe “for showing me a whole new experience of acting.” Also, thank you to my parents “for motivating me to do incredible things.”
Josh Beauplan (7th) This is Joshua’s debut, and he is looking forward to many more opportunities on stage. His electives and activities include Piano 1, Theatre 1, AVID, YMCA, and basketball. Thank you “to my Dad for all your support, and my sister for all your advice.”
Madeline Bedford (6th) Madeline has appeared in Scrooge the Musical (ensemble, HMS), The Sound of Music (Marta, The Garden), Annie (ensemble, Icehouse Theatre); and, at Thornbrooke, Alice in Wonderland (Small Alice), SnoBiz (Snow Angel), and Princess What’s Her Name (The Princess). She takes voice and piano lessons with Ms. Nishaa Carson. Her Art electives include Theatre 1, Chorus, Digital Photography and Fiber Arts. She also enjoys being in the Girl Scouts and St. Luke’s Youth Group. Thank you to Mom & Dad’s “Taxi Service” and Nishaa Carson.
Reyce Britton (7th) Reyce has appeared in Scrooge the Musical (young Ebenezer). His electives and activities include Theatre 1, Boys Chorus, PE, and Volleyball. Reyce would like to thank his brother and sisters for inspiration, his parents for support, and Ms. Horohoe for the skills to improve.
Break a leg, Kyra! We are so proud of all your accomplishments! Love, Mom, Dad and Ryan Julia Gustafson (6th) This is Julia’s second performance at HMS. She was first seen in Scrooge the Musical (ensemble). Julia has performed with The Garden Theatre in The Jungle Book (Baloo); Oliver (Artful Dodger); Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood); and Fame, Jr. (Iris Kelly). Julia also takes private instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Piano. Her electives and activities include Show Choir, Theatre, Music Theory, Chorus, Dance and Piano. She thanks her dad, who teaches her piano and works with her on singing; Mrs. Rugerio at the Garden Theatre and Mr. Penfield. August Hartlieb (6th) August first performed in HMS’s production of Scrooge the Musical (ensemble). His activities and electives include Piano (with Elaine Corriveau), Theatre 1, Boys Chorus, Creative Photography 1, Show Choir and Karate.
