You wish to view the report onscreen before creating a paper copy.

Make sure you have created a C:\Temp folder if one does not already exist. This is where report files will be placed for viewing. In the Process Scheduler Request window, select File for Output Destination and type the command -ziv after the file location. In the File/Printer box you should see c:\temp\ -ziv (with a space between the \ and -). This will redirect the output to a viewer on your screen.



While the server is processing your request, you should see an SQR icon in the lower left region of the panel.

You encounter difficulties trying to print.

TRY… •

Make sure the Printer radio button in the Process Scheduler Request is selected.



If the printer you use is not shown in the printer dialog box, you will need to set it as the default printer. From the Start menu, choose Settings - Printers and right-click on the desired printer. Select Set As Default from the list that appears when you right-click. Log out of M-Pathways and reconnect. If your printer does appear but you still cannot print, your printer driver may not be installed on the Citrix server. Contact the M-Pathways Help Desk at (734) 9367000 for assistance.





If you have logged into simultaneous Citrix sessions and then disconnected from any one of them, printing may not work correctly. To remedy the situation, log out of all Citrix sessions and then log back in only once.

PRINTING - MACINTOSH IF…

You wish to view a report onscreen before creating a paper copy OR you encounter difficulties trying to print.

Make sure you have created a Temp folder in your hard drive (not on your desktop). This is where report files will be placed. In the Process Scheduler Request window, select File for Output Destination and type the command -ziv after the file location. In the File/Printer box you should see c:\temp\ -ziv (with a space between the \ and -). This will redirect the output to a viewer on your screen.



The first time you run a report using a newly created temp folder you may see: "A fatal error has occurred, probably the SPF file is corrupted." Click OK and re-run the report. The error should not recur.



While the server is processing your request, you should see an SQR icon in the lower left region of the panel.

In the next window that appears after you select Print, click on the Properties button.



In the Properties window, change orientation to Landscape (the default will probably be Portrait).



Click on the Options button within the Properties dialog box.

In the Options window, change the scaling to 59%. If you wish to print on Legal paper so that the font will be larger and easier to read, you can choose Legal paper from the drop-down box and then change the scaling to 76%.

Click OK three times to complete. When you receive a message about printing the report in Landscape, click Yes.

Your printer does not appear in the print dialog box.

Check to ensure that you have a default printer selected in the Chooser (You can access the Chooser from the Apple menu).

Highlight a printer in the Chooser. You should not need to click the Setup button if you have used this printer before successfully (with any application, not just M-Pathways). If there are no printers shown in the Chooser, you have no default printer installed. Contact your local support personnel.

PRINTING - GENERAL IF…

The font on the printed reports is too small for you to read.

Use legal paper, and set the scaling to 76% (In the printer dialog box, click on the Properties button and then on the Options button to set the scaling).
