Print a presentation Go to File tab click on Print To print a presentation, click on Print button To select a different printer than the current printer, click the arrow down under the Printer section to select a desired printer If the desired printer is not on the list, click Add Printer to add available printers on the network To change number of copies click the up or down arrow at Copies box under Printer section Settings section control the following printing setting: Number of slides to print out Number of slides in each page side Printing single-sided or double-sided Collated/ Uncollated print
Collated option used for printing the large document into individual sets (new employee orientation)
Uncollated option used for printing multiple copies of each page in the set of the document (handout)
Page Orientation Color printing or Black-and-White printing Edit the Header and Footer by clicking Edit Header & Footer option

Create handouts in Word document Go to File tab click on Save & Send File Types section click on Create Handout
In the Send To Microsoft Word dialog box, do the following: Under Page layout in Microsoft Word section, select a desired layout option Under Add slides to Microsoft Word document section, select Paste link option so that any change in slides in PowerPoint slides will update in handout in Word document Click OK button

The presentation will turn through the handout in Word document
Create and print Speaker notes Speaker notes allow speakers to write their notes per slide and have those notes appear to them, either on paper or on the screen during the presentation
Create Speaker notes in presentation slides Click and grab onto the horizontal bar to expand up or down the Speaker notes area

The audience is never going to see those notes on the full screen display
Print Speaker notes with the presentation slide Go to File tab click on Print Under Settings sections, click the down arrow under Slides select Notes Pages

In the Preview area, the preview of the slide with the Speaker notes is displayed
The text in the Speaker notes areas can be format as text on the PowerPoint slide. However, some formatting commands will not be reflected on the Normal view but will be show on the Print Preview in Backstage View

Present on another laptop Understand Packing presentation feature PowerPoint 2010 provides a unique feature called Packaging to make the slideshow run on most computers with a different version of Microsoft PowerPoint or without Microsoft PowerPoint installed Even though it’s called Package for CD, the presentation can be packed to a USB drive, a DVD, a CD, or even a location on the network The feature packs together the following: The presentation Any linked media Any files as requested such as PDF or some Excel workbooks or other presentations Any fonts used After PowerPoint 2010 packs the presentation, a special file called the PowerPoint 2010 Viewer is created with the package that used to open up the presentation even if the computer doesn’t have PowerPoint installed. Besides, the Viewer works on all versions of Windows from Windows 98 up to Windows 7

Pack the presentation Go to File tab click on Save & Send File Types section choose Packaging Presentation for CD click on Package for CD button
In the Package for CD dialog box, do the following:
Click Add to add additional files to include in the package Click Remove to remove files from the package Click Options for more advanced options to apply for files in the package
Link Files
Embed TrueType fonts
Set password to open and modify the presentation
Inspect presentations for inappropriate or private information
Click on either Copy to Folder or Copy to CD to finish packing the presentation When click on Copy to Folder, the Copy to Folder dialog box is displayed. Click Browse button to browse the location to copy the folder Click OK
Save the presentation as a PDF Go to File tab click on Save & Send and do one of the following: Under Send & Send section, click on Send Using Email click on Send as PDF button

Under File Types section, choose Create PDF/XPS Document click on Create PDF/XPS button
In the Publish as PDF or XPS dialog box, do the following: Locate the place to save the file Click on Options button

In the Options dialog box, select publish options click OK button
Click Publish button

Save as a video Understand a slideshow video PowerPoint 2010 allows saving the finished presentation as a video so that it will be shared through the social network such as a blog, burn it to a DVD or transfer it to any computer The PowerPoint 2010 gives two options to advance the slides before turn the slideshow into a video: Record timing along with optional narration and use that for automatic advancement in the video Specify a default duration for slide advancement which will be applied to any slides don’t have their own setting
Save a presentation as a video Go to File tab choose Save & Send File Types section click on Create a Video Select options for the video quality Select options for recorded timings and narrations Click Create Video button

Broadcast on the web PowerPoint 2010 provides the feature to broadcast presentations Go to Slide Show tab Start Slide Show group click on Broadcast Slide Show
In the Broadcast Slide Show dialog box, click on Start Broadcast button

Use Window Live account or Hotmail account to login If needed, click Get a .NET Passport to create a Window Live account
Under Share this link with remote viewers and then start the slide show, copy and paste the URL to send it through email, via Instant messenger or post it on the blog The link only work while the author is broadcasting The link can be opened with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and the iPhone

In the PowerPoint presentation window, do any of the following: Click on Start Slide Show to broadcast the presentation Click End Slide Show to stop broadcasting the presentation
Use web apps through SharePoint Go to File tab click Save & Send click Save to SharePoint SharePoint create a corporate website with discussion, file libraries, calendars, to-do lists, tasks, all that kind of stuff that users can both collaborate on Check Out feature on SharePoint make sure that two people aren’t making changes to the same file at the same time Check In feature on SharePoint allow other users know what has been changed when the file checked out
