How the app works Overview

The app helps you monitor Macro & Micro Counters. You can download and view reports in pdf format, set the weight sensitivity, turn on/off and monitor most of the functions of the counter. It’s very easy in use and can simplify the counting process. The app has four main windows, counting, settings, reports and visibility. You switch between these windows by pressing menu and choose from a list.

1.2

Counting

Figure 1: The counting window. The counting window will list all of the counters channels. From hear you can start and stop the counting process. When you stop the counter you will be asked ”Do you want to DOWNLOAD and view Report?”. If you answer yes, than your app will download the report from the counter and store it in a folder named VAKI. Form there you can delete and send your reports.

1.3

Settings

Here you can set each channel weight sensitivity by pressing either the plus button or minus. To save these changes press save and these settings will be sent to the counter and he will change the weight sensitivity.

Setting up Virtual Router

To use your app you need to connect your phone and your counter to the same router. If you do not have a router in your possession you can use a Virtual Router that we have provided for you. To start the Virtual Router go to VAKI App Server, under Virtual Router. There you should see a button that says Start and a checkbox that says Start Virtual Router on start up. To make Virtual Router start when you turn on your counter check the checkbox. To start the Virtual Router press start, then you should see something similar as you see on figure 6. Than all you have to do is press start virtual router. Now you have a router named VakiAppServer and password Vaki1234 that you can connect your phone to.

4 4.1

Connections options Router

Before you can connect your device to a counter you need to make sure that your device and counter are connected to the same router or virtual router. You only need to connect your counter ones to a router and the next time he will automatically connect to that same router. If you are using virtual router than you only need to start that router see section Setting up Virtual Router.

4.2

Locally

If your device and counter are connected to the same router than all you have to do is open the Macro Micro App and on the connection screen press new connection and enter in the counters WiFi ip address or Virtual Router ip address. The counters ip address is located on Viki App Server, see figure 5.

4.3

Externally

If your device and counter have internet connection than you can connect externally to your counter, that is from any where. All you have to do is contact us and we will set it up for you and then instead of entering in your WiFi ip Address you enter in your external ip address, also located on your Vaki App Server. 7

Still having problems Can not connect to a counter

The most common problem is that your device and counter are not connected to the same router. If they are connected to the same router then you could be entering in the wrong ip address. To make sure you are entering in the right ip address, go to your Vaki App Server and press restart, than he will list the correct ip addresses.
