If you need more Star Wars like you need air, or just kind of like the movies then you should come down and check out Star Wars X-Wing, and Star Wars Armada. That’s right a two table top miniatures games based on the cultural phenomenon that is Star Wars! X-wing is a fast paced tactical space combat game focused on Star Fighters, Armada lets you take command of the fleet using squadrons of fighters and capital ships to control space. Envy Daryl Dixon’s zombie ear necklace on The Walking Dead? We do too. Which is why we’re holding a craft session for adults to make their own! Zombie-enthusiasts are encouraged to come and create their own unique ears using a variety of paints and gels. You don’t want to miss this awesomely gory craft! Ah, fanfiction. What used to be taboo and secret is now a recognizable form of creative writing. For this workshop, we’ll delve into the nitty-gritty of fanfiction. What exactly is it? What are ships, tropes, and other mysterious writing lingo? We’ll trade tips, interesting stories, and even participate in some fanfiction writing exercises. At 7:30pm, the session will end for anyone younger than 17. We’ll then host a brief “After Dark” session for more adult themes that abound in fanfiction. Nothing will be grossly inappropriate, but this will give older guests the opportunity to ask some more mature questions.

Don’t forget to check out our Lib-Con themed book displays in the basement and on the first floor at the Main Library on Cedar St., as well as the collection of nerdy paraphernalia on exhibit in the display case during Lib-Con!
