LEVEL III MASTERCLASS on ONCOPLASTIC BREAST SURGERY 7 – 8 June 2013 MARMA Congress Center, Maltepe, Istanbul, TURKEY

In association with SENATURK ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS (RCS) OF ENGLAND ASSOCIATION OF BREAST SURGEONS (ABS) BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF PLASTIC RECONSTRUCTIVE AND AESTHETIC SURGEONS (BAPRAS) MALTEPE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

WELCOME It is our pleasure to welcome you to this first SENATURK Masterclass on Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, which is a joint initiative in partnership with the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS), the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) London. The innovative programme provides an introduction to the practical aspects of oncoplastic breast reconstruction, and is aimed at experienced surgical oncologists with a major interest in breast cancer management. Your faculty includes leading breast and plastic surgeons, and an eminent human anatomist. Together they will focus on teaching the key principles of safe oncoplastic surgery, with a range of short talks, anatomical demonstrations, markups, video clips and ‘hands on’ workshops. The course is based around small groups to encourage interactive discussion and debate. Faculty will focus on the key aspects of ‘best practice’- information and choice, case and technique selection, preoperative planning and preparation, and the avoidance and management of complications. We do hope you enjoy the course, and that you will return to your practice with a better understanding of the expanding role of oncoplastic surgery in breast cancer management today.
