The PROS Press Book Creation catalog has page layouts with four to twenty image nodes and a full range of customization options. For your page backgrounds we offer colors, background art and opacity levels. Image nodes include colorization choices, border styles and colors, drop shadows and optional watermarks. Refer to the Press Book cover and paper choices for the fine finishing features that are available. small accordion books Accordion Books are compact and beautiful, with exactly the right amount of space to showcase a special event or individual. Choose brushed or radiant finish metal cover panels or our popular hard covers on either 3x3 or wallet (2.75x3.75) size books. Covers are magnetic to ensure secure closure. Select from 4 papers and 4 finishing options. Wallet size books have 12 interior and 2 cover image panels. Our 3x3 books have 10 interior and 2 cover image panels. A minimum order of 3 of the same book is required. Use accordion books as incentives for your customers to place larger orders or simply as added value in your existing packages.
Single Page Accordion Book
The single page option opens like a traditional hardbound book, the accordion pages fold out from the right side. Add one image to the inside of the left cover and the remaining images to the right side accordion fold.

Options include image colorization, opacity levels, retouching, and color correction. Printing is on Smooth Gloss stock with upgrades to Linen, Pebble and Pearl stock available. There is a choice of matte or high gloss coating on one or both sides for an additional charge. The minimum order is 24 cards. Folded Business Cards are a sophisticated solution to promoting your studio. With printing on both sides, there is more room for studio information, promotional copy, and sample images. You can also use these cards to create appointment reminders for your customers.
These digital press printed cards allow you to leave a great first impression by highlighting your unique style. Business Cards come in 2 sizes, 2x3.5 inches and 2.25x3.25 inches and are ordered in sets of 100. Any of our papers and coatings may be used.
The standard-fold cards are available in horizontal and vertical styles. The folded size is 3.5x2 and the interior is 3.5x4. Offset-fold cards have a folded size of 3.5x2; the cover is 3.5x1.5; the back is 3.5x2; and the interior is 3.5x 3.5.

fine art prints One of the great advantages of digital imaging is the much larger array of papers that can be printed on to create the look and feel of anything from tray processed fiber prints to oil painting on canvas. Pounds can reproduce your digital creations by printing directly on canvas or to a watercolor-like paper that is reminiscent of fiber prints. To further enhance these fine art prints, bordered images and torn edges are available with the watercolor papers. Hand torn edges will add a ragged edge feature and adding a border provides a defined showcase area for you to sign your work. These prints are more fragile than the photographic prints we have all become used to, so a protective coating is applied to each one. This coating provides a measure of protection, but as with fine art, care should still be taken when handling and working with these prints. To provide your customer with a truly outstanding product, finish Fine Art Prints with mounting on our traditional surfaces such as artboard, masonite, gatorfoam, or sintra. Torn edge prints will be floated with an approximately 1/2 inch recess from the mount edge to the print edge providing a dimensional relief effect.

Printed on bright white water resistant fabric, these banners are great for promoting your business (in your reception area, at bridal shows and events), helping your customers promote theirs (pointof-purchase displays and outdoor events) and as print products in their own right (full length bridal portraits and senior banners). You create the banner image in Photoshop (150 dpi is best), flatten the file and save as a JPEG file. We provide the “footprint” in PROS into which you drag your file. Images are then printed onto premium satin fabric. Retractable banner stands add value saving you space and setup times. Pounds offers compact, portable stands into which the banners roll up like an old fashioned window blind. The stands are light and easily carried by hand from place to place and setup in seconds. It takes just a few minutes to attach the banners to the roll up leader using double sided tape. Later they are just as easily removed from the stand and another banner attached so that one stand can be reused many times.

PIC-A-PAC Pic-A-Pac services are typically used for sports and events, proms and schools. All images must be consistently exposed, and the event also must have the same lighting, background and subject-to-camera distance. This service is not available for weddings or candid portraits. pic-a-pac packaging All Pic-A-Pac orders are packaged in our Pic-A-Pac Portrait Envelope. One of the key elements of this packaging system is a 3.5x5 Summary Card that sits in a clear film pocket on the outside of the envelope. The Summary Card includes a thumbnail of the image, order and sequence number, original file name and package contents. It also includes your studio name, phone number and optional subject information. In addition to individual packaging at no additional charge, all Pic-A-Pac orders will be returned with all the specialty items that were ordered for that image inside the envelope with the prints. (Specialty items that will not fit in the envelope are packaged separately.)

records Records is utilized by volume sport, school and event photographers. Using a spreadsheet format, Records allows for a volume order with individual subject information to be matched with corresponding images for processing. shipping from pounds
Ground service is used when the destination address is within the two day shipping zone for ground; otherwise Standard Orders are sent second day air. In either case, your Standard Order shipment should make it to you within two days of leaving our plant. Accounts are charged $6.00 each day they have a shipment regardless of how many orders or shipments they have that day. Additional charges may be applied to Oversized Orders as described below Standard Orders: Print Products when mounted or framed conform to 20x24 or smaller in size. This includes 20x24 or smaller Canvas Wraps. Oversized Orders: Print Products larger than 20x24 such as Canvas Wraps, mounted or matted prints and framed prints that require oversized packaging and crush zones. Our shipping carriers levee additional charges to Oversized Orders. To defray some of these charges, we add an additional $10 to these oversized orders. All Oversized Orders will be shipped ground, unless you wish to receive a quote for Second Day delivery. We encourage accounts to provide us with a credit card for billings rather than go COD, but for those situations where COD is the only option, we must charge $15.00 per shipment in order to offset the COD fees charged by the carriers.
71 FedEx $10.00 For orders containing small bulky items (buttons, cutouts, mouse pads, etc.), prints no larger than 11x14 (for example: more than twenty 8x10s). These shipments will be sent via FedEx Ground. FedEx Oversized $15.00 This is the service level for orders with prints larger than 11x14 up through 20x24. Albums and larger bulky items (coffee mugs, water bottles) fit into this category as well. These will be shipped via FedEx Ground. What about those really big prints? We will drop ship those too! Anything over 20x24 will be invoiced at actual cost. Please note: If the appropriate price level is not selected in PROS, Pounds will adjust the pricing to the proper level before billing. Drop ship orders are limited to one address per order. The Pounds invoice is not shipped with the order, but will either be mailed or included in a subsequent shipment to you. Drop shipping is not available for COD accounts. Minimum order rules do not apply to drop ship orders. Tracking information is available only for FedEx shipments. Pounds will reprint and resend, at our cost, shipments that the addressee reports not having received. Orders with a P.O. Box for an address that fall in the Medium or Large category will be charged an additional $5.00 fee.

Customers requesting First Class Mail shipping from Pounds are charged $5.50 per shipment.
express shipping
When expedited shipping is needed for Standard Orders, there is a $15.00 per package surcharge for Express Next Day service on packages weighing 5 pounds or less. Packages exceeding 5 pounds will be charged the actual cost for the express delivery. Saturday delivery is available to most locations and is subject to additional charges from the carrier. If you request Saturday delivery, you will be billed for the special charges plus our normal shipping charges. The regular daily shipping fee to Alaska and Hawaii is $20.00. Frames are not available for express shipping. Please indicate your request in the special instructions section when placing your order. This fee is in addition to any regular shipping charges and does NOT shorten the time in lab.

Drop shipping can be ordered from within PROS in four easy steps: 1. Select the “drop ship” option on the Review Screen. 2. Click on the appropriate price level. 3. Enter the address in PROS 4. Send the order. US Mail $5.00 Covers small flat orders with no bulky items. For example up to twenty 8x10, forty 5x7, eighty 4x6. No order tracking.

Should a shipment require special delivery, handling, packaging, crating or shipping, the actual charges incurred will be added to the invoice for that particular job. Drop Shipping is available at $7.00 per address (not available for COD orders).

account policy
Pounds is a professional lab that provides services to portrait, wedding, school, youth sports and event photographers nationwide. We limit our accounts to photographers who pursue their livelihood, in whole or part, in the profession of portrait photography. New Account applications may be requested by contacting any of our service center associates or you can fill out the online form on our website and get started right away.
payment terms
Upon approved credit, you may open a Pounds Charge Account for your studio. Invoices will be sent monthly. Other payment options include charge by credit card and pre-paid accounts. If you elect to pay by credit card, our normal procedure is to post a single charge to your account each evening for work billed during the day. Your credit card will only be charged for print products and services you order from Pounds. For the prepaid option, you make payments which we credit to your prepaid account. As work orders are billed they draw on those funds. If the balance in the account is not sufficient to pay for a work order, it will not bill or ship until payment arrangements have been made.
rush service
Any order requested to be completed faster than standard service time will incur a rush charge. 100% Rush Service may be added to orders that require completion faster than our standard service times. Rush Service doubles the price of each service or product in the order and shortens the lab time to one day per service area. Service areas include: Retouching, Printing, Finishing, and Cut-Outs/Magnets/Buttons. The following Services/Products can not be rushed: Albums, Press Products, Novelty Items, and Gallery Wraps. Requests for rush service must be made at the time the order is submitted. We reserve the right to accept or decline rush requests subject to our capacity at the time to perform all the services required in the time available. Minimum rush charge is $20.00.

Common carriers and express couriers consider film, negatives and finished prints to be “original artwork”. Original artwork carries a maximum declared value of $100.00. Since this dollar valuation and fixed liability is assigned and limited by all carriers, we will not pay for nor add additional insurance to packages shipped to or from Pounds.
Lab service times listed in our literature are working days and do not include weekends or holidays. We make every attempt to meet our published service times. Due to the seasonal nature of our business and special unforeseen problems, however, we may occasionally have to add additional time. When promising your orders to customers, please give them a realistic schedule. Electronic orders (submitted via one of our portals) must be received in lab by 11:00 a.m. to count as having been submitted that day. Orders are due out of the lab after 4:30 p.m. on their scheduled completion date.
changed or canceled order charges
Once an order has entered production, requests to change or cancel a service will result in a $3.00 charge being added to the order. Refused estimates or canceled orders, which must be returned to the customer, will be charged the applicable shipping, packaging and handling fee. Should an order be canceled once it has completed any stage of production, it will be invoiced for all services it has already received.
In the case of an error in any order you submit, please contact us within 30 days. We can usually correct the error with a phone call to customer service. You must provide us with the work order number at that time. We’ll correct the error and reship as quickly as possible. In some cases, if the error was in your submission of the order, we may require you to send a new order.
Due to the characteristics of paper and chemistry, we cannot guarantee exact color and/or density matching to previously processed orders. If matching is important, always include a guide print and indicate “Match Color and Density” on your order. We will attempt to match products as closely as possible. Please note that it is often impossible to match a print on photographic paper to an inkjet print.

Images that are grossly over or under exposed will be returned as unprintable. We may accept a job only with the understanding that the final results will likely fall below our standards.

GENERAL INFORMATION
copyrighted material
Under Federal law 17 U.S.C. #116, the individual photographer is the sole owner of the copyright of the image he creates and has the sole and exclusive rights to make any reprints or to authorize the making of reprints. This law is enforceable whether or not the image carries the copyright notice or icon. “When it is created, it is copyrighted.” Pounds cannot and will not (without exception) copy any photography which is not accompanied with a written release from the originating photographer. In addition, we will not produce prints from a copy negative submitted to us which has a visible copyright.
obscene or objectionable photos
Federal and Texas laws declare that sexually explicit photos are illegal if minors appear in them. Pounds Photographic Labs, Inc. will comply as well as assist all enforcement agencies in upholding these laws and regulations. If photos or images submitted to us appear to involve minors in sexually oriented conduct, the proper law enforcement agency will be contacted immediately and the negatives, images, prints and the name of the individual submitting the order will be turned over for their action. In addition to the laws governing sexually explicit photos of minors, Pounds will not accept or produce photos of any nature that we deem objectionable. We retain the right of refusal to reproduce images depicting aberrant or sexual conduct even if such images are not illegal. If subject matter submitted to us is deemed objectionable, at our sole discretion, the unprinted negatives/order will be returned to the photographer.
limitation of liability
Pounds uses prudence and caution to ensure the proper handling of any film, print, negative, digital file or media submitted to us. The acceptance of any film, print, negative, file or other media is without other expressed or implied warranty or liability and recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded and agreed. Pounds assumes no liability for loss or damage to orders in transit to or from our facilities.

DIGITAL FILE GUIDELINES This section provides basic information necessary to prepare digital image files for submission to Pounds. For additional information, please contact a friendly customer service representative.
exposure and white balance
Proper exposure is critical. The exposure latitude of digital capture is narrower than with film. The best prints are made from files exposed within 1/3 stop of ideal. White balance in digital capture is equally important. Auto white balance will often yield inconsistent results. For the best images, learn the white balance procedure for your camera. We also suggest that you utilize an exposure meter instead of the camera meter.
file format
We accept standard JPEG (JPG) or TIFF format files only. Please do not include alpha channels or layers in the images. All files must be saved in 8 bit RGB format. If you have set the image to grayscale mode for black & white output, please convert it back to RGB mode before submitting for printing. JPEG files should be saved with the highest quality settings.
file size
There is no need to individually size images for each print size. We suggest that you keep the file at the resolution set by your digital camera. Please note that the PROS and LabPrints interfaces allow for custom cropping. If you use the cropping tool in Photoshop, it should be done by setting the width and height and leaving the resolution blank. This results in eliminating the unneeded pixels without resampling or interpolating. In instances where you must set a resolution, please use 250 PPI. Maximum file size for manually or electronically submitted images is 100 MB. Anything higher may cause problems in production and delay your order.
color space
Our default color space is sRGB. Images received without an embedded profile will automatically be assigned to the sRGB color space. Should you choose to use a different color space, some color clipping may occur. If you choose to do your own color correction or wish to see accurate color on your monitor, we recommend that you invest in a monitor calibration device.
file naming
Keep your image filenames as simple as possible and limit the number of characters to 25. Please do not include any of the following characters in your filename: , ^ & % < > ~ ( ) ‘ “ # ? or accented characters such as, but not limited to: ö, á, è, ñ.
