DRAGLINK LINEARS withunderseat steering havea zeroendplayfeatureincorporated intothe draglink to prevent any looseness or playin the steering. Thisfeaturemay needadjustment fromtimeto time. Adjustment is accomplished by simplyturningthe nylontippedset screw(foundon eitherendof the (seephoto#13)clockwise draglink) to tightenthemuntilall playis removed. The steering shouldbe checked to insurethatit stillpivotsfreelyafterthe adjustment.

2. Squeeze thebrakeleverandnoteifthecableforcesthecaliperlegssmoothly andevenlyinward so thatthe brakeblocksaretightlyagainst thewheelrim,andtheleverhas25.4mm(1 inch)or moreclearance fromthe handlebar. lf not,proceedas follows: a.

Loosentheadjusting barrellocknut andturntheadjusting barrelclockwise untilit is in the lowestposition.Re-tighten the adjustingbarrellocknut.

IMPORTANT: The adjustingbarrelis placedin the lowestpositionto providefor minorbrake adjustment as blockswear.Left(counterclockwise) rotationof the barrelwillmovetheblockscloser to the rimfor betterbraking. b.

Loosenthecableanchornut.Thecaliperlegswillspringapart.Squeeze thecaliperlegs withyourhandsso the brakeblocksaretouching thewheelrim,thenpullthecableend tight.Tightenthecableanchornut.Checkthe brakeleveras in STEP2.
