The LOTT Alliance owns and operates stateof-the-art wastewater and reclaimed water facilities in the south Puget Sound region of Washington State. LOTT facilities include the central Budd Inlet Treatment Plant, Hawks Prairie Reclaimed Water Satellite, three pump stations, and miles of pipelines. Our mission is to preserve and protect public health and the environment by cleaning and restoring water resources for our communities, and LOTT’s Board of Directors values its workforce as essential to the success of that mission.

LOTT utilizes a broad range of skills and experience to manage ongoing construction, treatment, maintenance, regulatory permitting, engineering, planning, finance, and public communication responsibilities. LOTT has a wide variety of interesting positions, including:

The LOTT Alliance offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. LOTT pays 100% of employee medical premiums, and pays 90% of the premium for qualified dependents. Full family dental, orthodontia, and vision coverage are also provided. Employees participate in the Washington State retirement plan, and receive life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Our generous leave package includes eleven paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation pay.

Our Career Development Program allows LOTT employees to submit individual proposals for training and development in order to take advantage of career advancement opportunities within the organization. Staff members are encouraged to identify an organizational need and create a training plan to build skills to prepare for their next career step. The proposal, and associated agreement, may include transition to a new position or promotion as an outcome of successful completion of the training plan.

Engineers and Engineering Technicians, Legal Assistant, Public Communications Manager, Web Designer, Instrument Technicians, Construction Managers, Executive and Administrative Assistants, Industrial Electrician, Grounds Specialist, Capital Planning Manager, Laboratory Analysts, Environmental Educator, Maintenance Technicians, Network Administrator, Accountant, and of course, Wastewater Treatment Facility Operators

Educational Support LOTT is committed to maintaining employee development and support programs that result in an adaptive, efficient, satisfied, and skilled workforce. Opportunities include formal education (with a tuition reimbursement program for college degrees), workshops, in-house training, and participation at local and national conferences.

Apprenticeship Program The Apprenticeship Program provides a rare entry-level opportunity to build a stable, rewarding career in one of three occupations: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, Control Systems Technician, and Maintenance Technician. Each Apprenticeship combines required supplemental instruction with comprehensive on-the-job training, working with LOTT’s skilled journey-level staff. Upon successful completion of the program, our Apprentices “graduate” to become fully skilled team members of the LOTT Alliance.
