Entrance Hymn Come let us bow down to Christ, As we worship Him, The Son of God. Save us, O Son of God, Who did rise from the dead, We sing to You: Alleluia Resurrectional Apolytikion (Plagal Four) From on high You descended, O merciful Lord. You accepted the Cross and three days in the Tomb to free us from the bondage of sin. O our Life and Resurrection. Glory to You, O Lord. Apolytikion for the Fathers Supremely blessed are You, O Christ our God. You established the holy Fathers upon the earth as beacons, And through them You have guided us all to the true Faith, O greatly merciful One, glory be to You. Church Hymn (Troparion of Pentecost) Blessed are You O Christ our God Who has shown the fishermen as wise men By sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them And through them, the whole world You drew into Your net O Lover of mankind, glory to You. Evlogitos i Hriste O Theos imon, O Pansofous tous aliis anadixas, Katapempsas aftis to Pnevma to agion, Ke thi afton tin ikoumenin saginefsas, Filanthrope doxa Si. Kontakion (Prostasia) A protection of Christians unshamable, Intercessor to our Holy Maker unwavering. Reject not the prayerful cries of those who are in sin. Instead come to us for you are good; Your loving help bring unto us, Who are crying in faith to you; Hasten now to intercede and speed now to supplicate As a protection for all time, Theotokos, for those who honor you. After the Prayer of the Proskomidi I love you, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior.

EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Letter to Titus 3:8-15 TITUS, my son, the saying is sure. I desire you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to apply themselves to good deeds; these are excellent and profitable to men. But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels over the law, for they are unprofitable and futile. As for a man who is factious, after admonishing him once or twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is perverted and sinful; he is self-condemned. When I send Artemas or Tychicos to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing. And let our people learn to apply themselves to good deeds, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not to be unfruitful. All who are with me send greeting to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. GOSPEL READING: The Gospel according to St. Luke 8:5-15 The Lord said this parable: "A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the path, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock; and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew, and yielded a hundredfold." And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, he said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God; but for others they are in parables, so that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience." As he said these things, he cried out "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

T H E C R E E D O F FA I T H (Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed) I believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father through Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge the living and dead. His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke through the prophets. In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.

Proper Reverence During the Divine Services, there are special moments in which proper reverence is offered, such as the Consecration of the Gifts, the procession of the Cross, and others. The most frequent is the Consecration of the Gifts during the weekly Divine Liturgy. Proper reverence is to kneel or to stand. We are not to be in a position that is partially sitting and partially kneeling. With our new kneelers on our new pews, please offer proper reverence by either kneeling or standing. Prosforo Volunteers Anyone who is interested in making Prosforo for Sunday Divine Liturgy, please contact the Parish Office at [email protected] or call 317-733-3033. Offering Wine Many Parishioners offer fresh prosforo (bread) for our Sunday Divine Liturgy. Some parishioners who are unable to offer the prosforo have asked about offering the wine, which is Nama Byzantino. If anyone is interested in donating the wine ($10 per bottle), please identify your donation for "wine".
