CLOSING PRAYER Father, I thank you as head of the church, Lord Jesus, to loosen the healing power into everyone who reads this book and believes your Word to receive their healing now. Make your Word come alive inside of them, Father God. Father, we know sometimes our healing will be a process, but Father, in the meantime we thank You for starting the healing process in our bodies. As we release our faith and get more into Your Word, we thank you for the anointing to receive our blessing. The Bible clearly states we were healed by the stripes of Jesus’ back. I don’t know much about the English language, but I do know the word “were” is past tense. It was done in the past. If we “were” healed then, we “are” healed now. “Were” means we “are.” “Were” means we don’t have to wait. “Were” means we can appreciate our healing now, if we believe Jesus took it on the cross for us. The healing power of God can be working inside of us to bring a healing and cure to any sickness or disease the devil tries to put on us. We must remember our healing is going to be manifested according to our faith. It is not manifested according to somebody else’s faith. It is by our faith we receive our healing. I would love to heal everybody. That is my hearts desire, but I cannot. God would love to heal everybody, but not everybody gets healed because they don’t believe. You have to develop faith in your heart in order to receive your healing. Once faith start coming alive in your heart, you can cause any person to get healed, if they will listen to you. If the person will listen to the Word and apply what the Word says, they will be healed. There is a totally different operation of things when the gifts of healing have a supernatural element involved. Some people are instantly healed. However, not everybody gets healed instantly. Sometimes God is trying to stimulate the faith in the hearts in the other people, so they can receive their healing also. God wants you

INTRODUCTION Jesus came with a purpose to destroy the works of the devil. The devil wants to steal, kill and destroy you anyway he can. He doesn’t want you to live in health, prosperity or freedom from bondage, He is afraid of what you will do, if you can fulfill the purpose God has for you in your life. Jesus came to bring us life and life more abundantly. He wants us to live a long and healthy life. Jesus died so we would not be under the curse of the law of sickness and disease. He took every sickness and disease named or unnamed to the cross, so we do not have to be in bondage. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. By His stripes we are healed. We are free to receive our healing from any sickness or disease, which may try to attack our body. We must believe the Word of God in order to receive our healing. Faith causes the anointing to be received by us. We must believe God does not want us sick. He does not give us sickness to teach us to be obedient. The devil tries to put sickness on our bodies, not God. We must seek the Lord with all of our heart. When we seek the Lord, we will learn to trust Him. We will not only know about Him, but who He really is and learn to walk in His love. We must be very careful of the words we speak and only say what the Word tells us to say. When we

solutions because I was dehydrated and exhausted. Before I went into the hospital, I prayed. I said, “Lord what did I do wrong? I am willing to do anything to serve You.” The Holy Ghost answered and said, “You have violated a natural law by overworking your body. If you will repent right now, I will heal you.” I repented right there on the spot. By the time my wife got me to the hospital, I was starting to feel okay again. However, I went ahead and let them put the IV into me to help my physical body. I figured I was already in the hospital and was going to be charged for the room, even if I didn’t stay all night. I was healed instantly because I repented and asked for forgiveness. I made a promise that night to never violate the natural law again. Now I schedule rests times between my preaching engagements. People get in car accidents and all kinds of other things because they violate a natural law. If they would listen to their heart, God would tell them what to do to avoid the situation. When we don’t listen to God and His Word, we have to pay the price. However, when we do mess up and not obey, if we repent, we can be restored by the Word of God. God is quick to grant us His healing power, when we apply what the Word says. I Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 91

sometimes we violate a natural law, which causes us to get over into the place of sickness and disease. When I first started preaching and traveling, I owned my own business. I was making good money in the remolding business. When I first started in the ministry, I would preach on the weekends and run my business during the week. As time passed, I had to make a decision as to whether I would work or preach. My business was booming, but my calendar for preaching engagements was full for the entire weeks and months ahead. I wasn’t too smart in my early days in the ministry because I didn’t schedule any days off to rest and regroup after my preaching engagements. I would be gone from home for four months at a time. My wife didn’t like the schedule. Neither did I. I was over zealous for God and wanting to do the will of God. I was willing to pay any price, no matter what the cost. I walked away from my business. I turned my business over to people who were going to Bible School. I let them do the jobs. The students needed to make money and I want the Christians to be blessed. I left everything behind and went full time into the ministry. The end of the first year of my ministry, I was getting extremely exhausted. When I arrived home in the middle of December, my wife had to take me to the hospital. I had violated a natural law of overworking. I had overworked my body to the point the hospital had to place me on IV

trust and obey Him, the Holy Ghost can work through us for our healing. There are many different ways healing was manifested in the Bible. The key to receiving healing is for you to believe in your heart the Word of God. You must stand on the Word and do what it tells you to do. Your faith is what produces healing. It is not what a preacher believes or what the church tells you to believe that will make you receive your healing. You must have faith and apply the Word of God for yourself. Everyone who came to Jesus in faith was healed, but not everyone received healing. Some people were not in faith. Other people only came to see if Jesus could really manifest healings. Some people wanted to catch Jesus making a mistake or saying blasphemy against God. However, if a person came to Jesus in faith, He healed them of their sicknesses and diseases. Jesus did not heal everyone instantly. Some people had to mend over a period of time. It is the same way today. Sometimes people violate a natural law. They must correct the situation first, then healing can be manifested. No matter how healing is manifested, God is still the healer. God wants everyone healed. He wants us to walk in divine health. Learn to believe the Word of God and walk in faith daily. God is offering the healing ointment to you. Just lift your heart in faith and receive your healing today.

JESUS CAME WITH A PURPOSE

HE BORE IT ALL

The Lord has put a very special message in my heart today to share with you. It is about the healing ointment. I want to show you the different ways Jesus healed people in the Bible, the way you can receive healing, your responsibilities and how to walk in divine health. As we start on our adventures into learning about God’s healing ointment, let us first offer thanksgiving to our Father for His mercy and grace towards us. Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus. We come into Your presence with a humble heart on a bent knee. We ask for the gift of the Holy Ghost to come forth with accuracy and preciseness through this book. We ask the gift of teaching to impart revelation and insight about healing into each and every person who reads this book. Father, we thank You, for Your anointing. We thank You for Your Word. We know by Your Spirit everything shall be accomplished and we thank You for what You are going to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Jesus came to earth with a purpose. The purpose of God was to help humanity. It was not to put humanity into the bondage of sickness and disease, or poverty and lack, or spiritual death. Jesus came to set humanity in the right position with God. 8

When were you healed? You were healed two thousand years ago. You were healed when Jesus took your sins, sicknesses and diseases to the cross. People do not understand, Jesus bore it all. They are free to walk in health and victory because He paid the price. Matthew 8:16 “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.” The Bible says Jesus cast out the evil spirits with His Word. He also healed all who were sick. Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Even the prophet Esaias had told in the Old Testament of Jesus’ coming and deliverance we would receive because of His death. Matthew 8:17 “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” Jesus took all our infirmities and sicknesses. If Jesus took them from us, why do we have them today? The reason we still have them is because 89

We don’t have to have misery and confusion in our mind. We can have peace. Jesus has already taken all the pain and torment in our mind to the cross. He has given us peace. The Bible says the chastisement of our peace was taken from us. Jesus paid the price for us to have peace.

Adam and Eve sold humanity out to the devil, which opened the door to sickness and disease to attack our body. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, the devil had an open door to attack God’s children. Jesus Christ came with a purpose to set humanity free and to put us back with God so we could receive the rights He has provided for us. I John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” God sent His son into the world to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus destroyed what the devil did in the garden. Jesus came to put the world back in order for God. Everything which was once taken away from humanity in the relationship with God, was put back in the proper order by Jesus, so we could walk in the fullness God has for us. God wants us to walk in health and healing. He didn’t come to hurt humanity. God wanted to have a good relationship with humanity. He loved His children. He wanted all humans to fellowship and walk with Him daily. The devil came to trick Adam and Eve in the garden. He tricked them into walking away from God by sinning. God had to send a substitute on our behalf to redeem us from sin. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. It

says in the Bible that He “MIGHT” destroy the works of the devil. The word “might” in English simply means it is really up to the individual’s will to be involved with what needs to be destroyed. God can not go past a human’s will of what He wants to do for them. The word “might” had to be put in the Bible to mean “maybe” He can destroy the works of the devil. Jesus, if given permission, will destroy the works of the devil, but we have to give Him permission to do the work. He already wants to destroy the works of the devil, but He cannot destroy the works of the devil if a human refuses to give Him permission. Jesus cannot destroy sickness and disease if we say, “Sickness and diseases is of God. I am really okay; I will just struggle with this illness and put up with it.” When we say statements like the ones above, we tie the hand of God to provide our healing. The Scripture says Jesus might destroy the works of the devil, but it stops the hand of God’s power from destroying sickness and disease, when we speak unbelief in our words. When we speak words of lack and poverty about our life, we keep God’s blessing from manifesting for us. God’s hands of blessing and saving a person is tied, if a person who needs salvation says, “Well, I really don’t want to accept Jesus right now.” The Holy Ghost will still continue to work on the individual to encourage him to accept the salvation promise, but the person must want to receive. Jesus was sent into this world to destroy the works of the devil. He came with a purpose of

earth to be called by a new name. He just recycles everything. Do you remember the hippy movement? Shortly after the Beatles came to America, the hippy movement started coming also. We had the tall shoes come into fashion. However, today the tall shoes are coming back into fashion and some people believe the hippy movement is also coming into existence. The devil is not too smart. He just recycles and reinvents the same things of the past. He just causes things to go round and round. God is the same. He never changes. Jesus is the same. He also never changes.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” God expects us to believe by faith for our healing. He expects us to trust the Word of God. We must believe the stripes of Jesus healed us. Isaiah 53:4 and 5 4 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” 5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Chapter 23

WHAT IS FAITH? Most people do not know what faith really is. Faith is nothing more than simply relying and trusting in God’s Word. It is not complicated. People tell me all the time, “I know the definition of faith. It is Hebrews 11:1.” This is not what faith really is. That is not the definition of faith.

Jesus came to this earth to give us the right to walk in health. He came to earth to gave us the right to walk in the position and fulfill the purpose God has for our life.

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 is a procedure and process of how faith produces results. It is not the definition of the word “faith.” Faith is not seen until there is an action. Faith is not produced until you respond to what you know. If you need healing, you have to respond to believing it is God’s will to heal you. It is not up to God to respond to you. God has already responded to you. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you. Jesus took thirty nine stripes upon His back for your healing and freedom. He took all the sickness and disease the world or the devil could ever bring or come up with for you. The devil is not too smart. He tries to come up with new sicknesses and diseases, but he fails each time. All he can do is cause things already on this

Chapter 2

JESUS CAME TO GIVE US LIFE Healing is the opposite of sickness. If you have ever been sick, you realize being healed and healthy is a much better condition to walk in. If you have been poor or in poverty, you know prosperity is better. You know the difference between sickness and disease verses health. You also know the difference between poor and lack verses prosperity. If you have had good health at one time and are sick now, you know having good health is better than sickness. Sometimes we must examine ourselves to make sure we have not opened the door to the devil to allow him to bring sickness and disease upon us. When we don’t walk in what the Word of God says, we open the door to the devil. We are to walk and talk in the light of God’s Word. As we walk in the light of the Word, it will be manifested in our lives. The light of God will shine upon our heart life and path, if we believe His Word. Healing is already inside of us. We have to appropriate it to manifest it in our life.

Jesus healed the man on the bed because of his faith and the faith of his friends. He responded to faith. Jesus responded to their faith and what they believed. The friends believed and the man on the bed believed. The man on the bed believed and had faith. He had enough faith to be willing to be raised to the top of the roof, then be lowered on ropes to the lower floor to be in front of Jesus. When Jesus said his sins were forgiven and for him to rise up and walk, he had faith to stand up and walk. He believed he was going to be healed. God will move over millions of people for one person who will operate in faith.

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” 12

had faith also. The men who carried the man on the bed had faith enough to believe nothing would stop them from getting their friend into the presence of Jesus. They were willing to tear the roof off of the house, so they could lower their friend to Jesus. How desperate do you have to get to receive your healing? These men were willing to go to the extreme to get healing for their friend. There was no limit as to what they were willing to do for their friend. Christians today would rather lie in a bed of sickness and feel sorry for themselves, then go to the extreme of seeking their healing. They say, “It is not God’s will to heal me. I just have to grin and bare the pain. It is my lot to suffer like Jesus suffered.” These are not true statements. Jesus wants you healed. God wants you healed, but you must be willing to pay the price of going after your healing. You need to get into the Word of God and build up faith for your healing. When you really want something, you are going to pay the price. The men were willing to pay the price to seek healing for their friend. They were willing to tear up the roof so they could lower their friend down into the room. When the man on the bed was lowered in front of Jesus, He said, “Your sins are forgiven.” Jesus said it was just as easy to forgive the sins of the man as it was to say he was healed and could rise up and walk. Jesus didn’t heal the man because his friends tore up the roof. He didn’t heal the man because the men had lowered him on his bed to the floor.

Sickness and disease comes to steal, kill and destroy our life. Is sickness and disease a blessing of God? No, it is not a blessing! Sickness and disease comes to steal, kill and destroy. What does sickness and disease also come into our lives to do? It comes to steal your finances. It comes to kill our bank accounts and savings. It comes to destroy our life with our family. Jesus said He came so we might have life. The word “might” is also used in this Scripture. What is the meaning of the word “life?” The word “life” is “Zoë.” Zoë is a Greek word which means the “God kind of life.” Jesus came so we might have the God kind of life, God wants us to have the God kind of life inside of us. The God kind of life will bring the healing and deliverance of God. When you have the God kind of life, sickness and disease can’t stay around unless you want it to hang around you. The God kind of life drives out anything that is not normal in your body. When disturbance comes to your mind, the God kind of life brings peace. When sickness and disease comes to your body, the God kind of life instantly goes to attack it to destroy the works of the sickness and disease in your body. As soon as You say something in the negative realm, it gives the sickness and disease license to operate in your life. Many times you trip over what you say and cause the sickness and disease to be manifested into your life. Our God kind of life living inside of us will attack sickness and disease as long as we keep ourselves lined up with the Word of God.

Chapter 3

YOU ARE HEALED You say, “I thought I was healed.” You were healed. You say, “No, I thought I was healed, but the symptoms came back.” You were healed, but now a new package of sickness and disease was just opened up by your words of doubt and disbelief. The old package of sickness and disease was already gone. The devil came back and delivered another package of sickness and disease to give you false symptoms. You opened the package to receive sickness and disease again when you said, “I thought I was healed.” You are healed. You have to resist the symptoms which attack your body. You need to watch what you say in order to keep your healing. Jesus came with a purpose so we can walk in divine life. He wants us to have life; Zoë the God kind of life. He wants us to have life and have it more abundantly. When you have the Zoë kind of life in abundance; you don’t have sickness and disease. When the abundance of God abides inside of you, health has to take place in the physical body and mind. Every Christian should have the abundance of God abiding inside of them. Whatever is inside of you is what comes out of you. In other words, whatever you are putting in front of you is what you are producing in your life. Healing comes from within.

which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” Jesus was aware of what the Pharisees and Scribes were thinking. He shows the Word of Knowledge in operation in the next few verses. Luke 5:22 – 26 22 “But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?” 23 “Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?” 24 “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.” 25 “And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.” 26 “And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.” The Scriptures point out the people didn’t see the reality of faith. They just saw faith in operation and they saw someone come with faith and receive healing. They not only saw the man who had faith, but they saw the men who carried

THE MAN ON THE BED Healing comes to all, but not everybody gets healed. Not everybody wants healed because they are testing out God to see if some man or woman can heal them. Luke 5:18 - 20 18 “And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.” 19 “And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.” 20 “And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” Jesus again said to this man, his sins were forgiven. He saw the faith of the men and of the man. Luke 5: 21 “And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this 82

There are different ways for healing to be manifested. Most of the time healing for Christians should come forth out of their own spirit man. The healing anointing rallies was not really meant for the body of Christ to always rely on. It is the very best way God has for the body of Christ to receive their healing. Christians are to walk in healing and health by faith. They are to walk in it according to the Word of God, not according to their natural feelings. The healing anointing comes when it is used according to the Word of God. The healing anointing in rallies is given to help other people get healed who are not standing in faith for themselves. If a person doesn’t have faith to walk in divine health and healing, take them to the doctor and give them some medication until they get their faith built up, so they can walk away from the medication and walk in health. This is not the best God has for us, but it will keep the person alive until their faith can be built up. God wants to have us walk in the faith inside of us, but if we cannot at the moment, then use medication to assist you until you can build up your faith for healing. God does not want Christians to walk foolishly in this life. We are to use wisdom. Examine your life and seek help if you are not strong enough to stand alone on your own faith. Christians are to walk in health, so they can fulfill the purpose of God on this earth, which is to preach the gospel.

Chapter 4

THE CURSE AND THE LAW Galatians 3:10 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” The Bible gives us the right key to walking in health. Everything written in the Scriptures is what we should be doing daily in our lives. The law of love will kill sickness and disease. Many people have common colds and things because they get in strife with someone else. The cold or sickness will disappear, if they get out of walking in strife and start saying, “I am a love being. I walk in love and not in strife. I will forgive my fellow Christian and learn to walk in love.” Now, the sickness and disease of the cold will disappear. When you get sick, you have stepped outside of love. You have to become what the Word says.

25 “After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.” Did the man not receive his healing the first time hands were laid on him because of his doubt or unbelief? Did Jesus not release the full anointing the first time he laid hands on him? Jesus released the anointing, but the man needed another touch in order to receive the full manifestation for his healing. The more a person will attend healing school, the more their faith is increased. Sometimes it is good for a person to attend several healing schools to increase their belief. The more a person sits under the Word of God and the anointing, the more results you are going to have. The more you hear of the Word of God, the more your faith grows. The more your faith grows, the faster you get healed. The more you apply yourself to what the Word says, the faster healing takes place in your body. The less you apply yourself to the Word, the longer it takes to get healed.

Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” 16

Wigglesworth, you will notice he wouldn’t pray over a person more than once. He would remember if he had prayed for the person and would not pray again for them. He wanted them to have faith they would receive their answer. I remember people who come to my healing lines, but I am more gracious than Smith Wigglesworth. I don’t turn people away when they want to be prayed for more than once. I lay my hands on them out of kindness. I believe a person may not receive all they need to build their faith the first time they step into the healing line. Sometimes they have to get recharged in order to build up their faith and receive. I can prove in the Bible we should lay hands more than once on some people. Do you remember the blind man who Jesus laid His hands on? Jesus asked him how he saw after Jesus touched him and he said. “I see men as trees.” Then Jesus laid His hands upon him again and the man’s sight was fully restored. Mark 8:22 - 25 22 “And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.” 23 “And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught.” 24 “And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.” 80

When Jesus died on the cross, He became a curse for us. He took sickness and disease upon the cross for us. Do you know what was under the curse? If you do not know what was under the curse, you will not understand what you have been redeemed from. If you don’t know what you have been redeemed from, how can you use the Word of God against it? Our spirit man has no problem believing what the Word of God says. However, our mind has a problem receiving healing or a lot of other things in the Bible. If you do not show your mind what the Word of God says, you are going to have doubt and unbelief in your mind. Your faith is sometimes going to be paralyzed because of your doubt and unbelief in your heart. Your doubt and unbelief is going to over whelm what you want to receive by your spirit man. When you have doubt and unbelief, you will say, “Well, I don’t know for sure if God will heal this sickness and disease.” If you see it in the Word of God, then you can use your faith for healing. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of sickness and disease, poverty and spiritual death. He gave us spiritual life. He gave us prosperity. He gave us healing and health, when we came into the Kingdom of God. II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: and old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 17

The Bible says we are a new creature in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away and all things have become new, when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives. Everything in heaven has been made available to us from the time we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Most Christians do not operate in the fullness of what salvation has provided for them; such as healing and deliverance. The devil or religion comes along and says, “Well, brother, you don’t understand about healing. It was only for the people back in Jesus’ day. It is not for people to have today.” Salvation is for us today as well as those in history. It is for anyone today who will accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” Since healing was provided when Jesus was alive, healing is provided for us today. You must believe and have faith for your healing in order to have it manifested. Do you know what the curses are in the Bible? In Deuteronomy 28:15-68, it talks about everything under the curse. You need to read about all the curses, but I will just talk about a few of them. Deuteronomy 28: 59 “Then the Lord will make thy plagues 18

Often people will go to a healing service and not receive their healing. It is not God’s will for them to be sick. Some people only want to see if God can heal today. They say in their heart, “I’ll go to this man of God and see if he can really heal me. I want to see what is happening in his meetings. If he is truly a man of God, I will receive my healing from him.” No man can heal any other person. Only God can heal. However, God can only heal a person where there is faith and the person believes in their heart. Smith Wigglesworth operated in a special kind of faith when he was alive. However, he only did what God told him to do so the people could receive their healing. Do you remember hearing the story about Smith Wigglesworth taking a baby and kicking it in the air? He literally kicked the baby up in the air. The parents brought their crippled baby to Smith Wigglesworth. When Smith Wigglesworth took the child in his arms, he dropped it on his foot and kicked it like a football. He kicked the baby up in the air and by the time it was coming down towards the ground, it was instantly and completely healed. Smith Wigglesworth had the gift of faith in operation in his life. He kicked the baby like a football. It had nothing to do with the faith of the parents. It had something to do with God and how he wanted to demonstrate His power of healing. God wanted to show a sign and wonder to draw attention to Him. If you have read books about Smith

When Jesus healed the man with leprosy, it was a great testimony for God’s love and healing mercy to his children. Everybody who came to Jesus was healed. However, if a person did not come to Jesus, they were not healed. Religion today says. “Everyone in the Bible wasn’t healed. There were lots of sick people in the days Jesus walked the earth. Because not everyone was healed, it must not be God’s will to heal everyone. Healing is not for today. If it was for today, everyone would walk in total health. No one would be sick anywhere in the world.” This is not true. The Bible teaches us to understand not everyone came to Jesus for healing. Everybody didn’t want deliverance. Everybody didn’t want to be healed. Some people were only testing God when they went to Jesus. I have people who come to the healing lines just to see what I have. They are not coming in faith for their healing. They only want to see if I have the power to heal. This is the wrong thing to do. I do not have any power to heal a person. It would be better for me to dump cold water on your head, if you believe I can heal you because I can’t. I can lay my hands on your head until you are bald, but if you are not in faith, you won’t get a thing. However, if I lay hands on you and you are in faith, you will receive your healing. When you are in faith, it is totally different. God wants everyone to be healed, but in order to receive healing, you must have faith inside of your heart. It is God’s will for everyone to receive from Him.

wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.” Have you ever seen anyone with sores sicknesses? When I was ministering in India, there were little children covered with sore sicknesses. They would hold their hands together because their hands were running and full of puss. It was a kind of sickness under the curse. The sores never would heal. They might heal for a week, but it would come right back. If someone else came in contact with them, they would get the sore sicknesses too. Deuteronomy 28: 59 and 60 59 “Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.” 60 “Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.” Whatever the devil comes up with, it is under the curse even if it has never been written down in words before. Deuteronomy 28 has a whole bunch of sickness and disease under the curse listed. To get the full understanding of the curse, you need to read from verse 15 to the end of chapter 28 of the book of Deuteronomy.

If you are not strong in the Lord, be careful when you read about the curses. If you are not strong, you will allow these things to affect your heart. Make sure you are strong in heart before you read about them. I remember about sixteen or seventeen years ago when I read about the curses. I thought, “Oh, no, man, I am doomed.” I didn’t know anything about being redeemed from the curse of the law. When I started reading about the curses, I started having fear grip my heart. I said, “This is why I am in this mess. I am under a curse.” We are not under a curse. We have been redeemed from the curse of the law because we are under the covering of the blood of Jesus. There is no sickness or disease in this world, named or unnamed, known to us even right now or unknown to us, that we can’t be free from. We do not have to receive any sickness or disease. Some people say, “I have this sickness and disease because of the curse upon the earth. My family has always been under the curse. It has always affected my family and now it is affecting my body. It is even affecting my wife and my children’s minds.” Those statements are not true. Christians are not under curse because the Word of God has redeemed them from every curse. Any curse the children of Egypt were under or anything that is unknown to us even unto this day, God has appropriated through Jesus Christ healing. There is no sickness or disease that can come nigh your dwelling. God will cure you, if you will allow

A MAN WITH LEPROSY Luke 5:12 – 14 12 “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” 13 “And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.” 14 “And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” In this story in the Bible, it says the man didn’t know if it was God’s will or not to have him healed. He asked Jesus if God would be willing to heal him. Jesus told him it was God’s will for him to be healed and He would heal him. Luke 5:15 “But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.” 77

today, you are in trouble. You had better get away from him. He will preach doubt and unbelief to you. This will cause you to not stand in faith and believe for your healing. Soon your unbelief will cause you to die. Kenneth Hagin wanted the preacher to anoint him with oil. He believed if the preacher would anoint him with oil, he would receive his healing. He kept asking his grandma to get a preacher to anoint him. Finally his grandma arranged for a preacher to come to their home. However, by that time Kenneth Hagin could not speak clear enough to tell him what he wanted him to do. The preacher just patted him on the head and said, “Oh, it won’t be too much longer. You will be going home really soon.” Kenneth Hagin became totally discouraged. It shut out all the faith he had inside of him. It took him several months before he had the courage to get back into the Word because of the discouragement. He had to start all over again and build his faith. The Word of God doesn’t bring discouragement. The Word wants to paint a picture of you being healed. It paints a picture by the Holy Ghost inside you, so you can see yourself walking free of what ever is binding you with sickness or disease. It helps you to realize what needs to be corrected in your life.

Him too cause the sickness and disease to die and dissipate in your life. He cannot help you, if you don’t appropriate your rights as a Christian.

Chapter 5

WHOSE REPORT ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE? The devil can knock on your door anytime. If you open the door and receive the package he is offering you, you will receive sickness and disease. You may say, “Ah. I will receive anything offered to me.” You will receive sickness and disease, but why do you want it. One of my first books called the “Complete Christian,” has a chapter called “Can a Christian Have a Demon?”. The answer to that question is “yes.” A Christian can receive a demon, if they want one. However, why would they want to have a demon? A Christian can be sick and blame God, but it is not God’s fault. They can take all the Scriptures in the Old Testament and analyze them, but after careful study, they should realize God did not put the sickness and disease on them. I have studied the subject of healing for years. I have read Scriptures where the Bible says God put sickness and disease upon the children. However, if you study and analyze the situation in the right light of what the Word really says, you will find God just removed His hand and gave the devil permission to release the sickness and disease upon the children because of their sin. 22

line on Friday, he was instantly healed. He returned to his school and they put him back into the original class he was supposed to be at for his age. He said, “If I can get a touch of heaven, my mind will be normal.” There was a determination on his part for his healing. It was not a determination on my part. Healing is not a determination of the preacher doing the preaching. It is the determination of what the person believes in their heart. Kenneth Hagin lay on his sick bed for sixteen months, until he decided to be determined to walk out of that bed of sickness. If you have read his books, you will notice he never was healed until he applied the Word of God as a healing salve for his life. He had to believe the Word and have faith he was healed. It doesn’t matter what the preacher believes concerning your healing. Often people will blame the preacher, when they don’t receive their healing. There is the working of miracles that comes into operation sometimes, but I am only concerned with you getting into faith inside of you in order to be healed. The working of miracles changes the course of nature. It altars what has happened in the natural to bring you back into the original state God has for you The gift of faith works very much like the working of miracles. Healing has to be appropriated by what we believe in our heart Healing is always appropriated by what the individual believes, not what the preacher believes. If your pastor doesn’t believe in healing for

of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” Jesus said her faith had made her whole. Let me give you an illustration of a person’s faith making them whole. Last year I was at a meeting where a boy ten years old had something wrong with his brain. The problem with his brain kept him from being able to learn. He came to me on Tuesday night after the service and said, “I want to be normal like all other kids. I am in a special class at school because I have a problem with my brain. I believe Jesus can heal me.” He continued to say, “My mind runs too fast for me to stay up with it.” I said, “Okay. This is what I want you to do. I want you to thank Jesus for your healing from tonight until Friday. On Friday I want you to come back to the service. Get in the healing line Friday night and you will be healed.” The boy was very excited. He thanked God all the time from that moment until Friday when he returned to the service. When he stepped into the healing line, he was instantly healed. What a victory and testimony to God. You may wonder, “Why was he healed and what made it manifest?” He had a desire to be normal. All I did was hook my faith up to his faith and tell him how to receive his healing. He already had faith, but needed to know how to get the results. As soon as I laid hands on him in the healing

We open the door to sickness and disease. The devil is always trying to attack us. Sometimes he will try to attack you to get you to stop you from walking as a Christian. You should never open the door to the devil’s attacks. As a Christian, you do not have to accept what he is offering you. The devil does not want you to shine God’s light into this world. II Corinthians 4:4 “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, least the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” We are stronger than the devil. Our Lord is greater inside of us, than the devil who lives in this world. I John 4:4 “Ye are the God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The devil sometimes attacks us just because we live in this world. However, we do not have to open the door and receive what he has for us. We have dominion and authority over him. We need to use our authority given to us by Jesus in His name. We have the power in the name of Jesus to override the sickness and disease. We have been

redeemed from the curse of sickness and disease for our life. We don’t have to walk in sickness and disease at anytime any more. Isaiah 53:1 “Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?” Do you believe the report of the Lord? A good example of believing God’s report is the story of the twelve spies who were sent to search the Promise Land for the children of Israel coming out of the wilderness. Twelve men were sent into the Promise Land to search it out, then return to Moses with their report. Ten of the men brought back an evil report. Numbers 13:32 “And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.” Two of the spies came back with good reports. When the children heard the two reports, they had to decide whose report they were going to believe. They chose to believe the evil report. Because of their decision, they ended up staying in the wilderness for 40 years more and dying.

Chapter 20

THE ISSUE OF BLOOD Matthew 9:20 and 21 20 “And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment.” 21 “For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.” The above Scriptures are about a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. It is a good example of what can happen, if you have suffered for a long time. Sometimes after a long illness, you will finally make a decision either to live with it or get out of it. Sickness and disease is nothing to live with. God never meant for us to have sickness or disease. He never meant for anything to be wrong with us. He wanted us to be healed, healthy and have longevity where we can live our days out to the fullness and be blessed. She believed whatever she confessed with her mouth and believed in her heart would be done for her. The Bible teaches us to know that what ever we say and don’t doubt, but believe in our heart shall come to pass. She believed. Matthew 9:22 22 “But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be 73

believe and say it out loud. You must speak what is in your heart. We receive what we believe in our heart. Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Numbers 14:32 and 33 32 “But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.” 33 “And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.” Whose report are you going to believe? The Bible says by His stripes you are healed. You say, “Well, I don’t look like I am healed. I don’t even act like I am healed. I sound like I am sick.” If you stand against the Word of God by not believing what is in the Word, you are calling God a liar. If you oppose anything the Word of God says, you are saying, “God, Your Word is not true and I don’t believe it. I don’t care if You zap me with Your power, I still don’t believe Your Word is true. I am sick. You have not healed me. If I was healed, I would not feel this way.” When you don’t believe what the Word of God says, you are basically calling God a liar. The devil would love for you to have doubt and unbelief. You say, “I question the Bible. I don’t know if it is really real in today’s world. All those things could have happened in the past, but what can they do for me today? If God healed me two thousand years ago by His stripes, why do I get sick and feel the way I do today?” When you ask questions like that, you are not convinced in your heart the Bible is real for you. You are trying to convince yourself it is in your

mind. Whose report will you believe? I am going to believe the report of the Lord. You must believe Jesus borne our griefs, carried our sorrow and delivered us from sin, sickness and disease.

everyone gets healed because they don’t apply themselves to the process of the healing by using their faith. It is not God who is holding something back from them. It is the persons themselves who is not coming to God in faith and believing they receive their healing. Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” If you have a desire for healing. you are going to have to go after it. You must be willing to pay the price for your healing. Anything you want, you must be willing to go after. I wanted to go into the ministry and I was willing to pay the price to achieve my goal. I felt the calling upon my life, but I knew there were things I had to do in order to receive what God wanted for me. I have had to pay the price. I wanted to be able to read, and I had to pay the price to learn by applying myself. I wanted a degree and I had to apply myself as the price to receive it. If I want healing in my body, I would have to pay the price of being diligent to find out what God’s Word says about healing. After I found out what the Word said, then I would have to apply my faith and stand on the promises of the Word. The Bible teaches we can have what we believe. However, you must confess what you

prayed and asked the Holy Ghost what was wrong. I would lay my hands on Christians, but they were not being healed. I would go home from service and condemn myself because I thought I had missed what God was telling me to do. I thought I had missed God’s anointing or my faith must not have been strong enough to produce healing for them. The Holy Ghost revealed the answer to the situation to me. He said, “Why are you getting so upset? You cannot heal people yourself anyhow. Your faith cannot produce faith for them. Christians must use their own faith for their healing. They know God will heal them, but they must believe it for themselves.” Before I went to Bible School, I did not understand it was our faith which produced healing for ourselves. What you believe is what is going to produce healing in your life. It is not what I believe that will produce your healing. If I want to receive healing, I know my faith will work for me. I can have faith for a non Christian, but Christians must exercise their own faith for their healing. This is why it is so important to teach Christians how to develop their faith and use it. As Christians, you must use your faith for your healing. You have to apply yourself to the Word. You have to apply the Word as a salve to the area that needs to be healed. You have to see and believe Jesus wants you healed, whole and delivered. It is not His will for anyone to be sick. He wants everyone to walk in health, but not

I remember when I was sick growing up, learning being healthy was better than sickness. My tonsils were so infected that they broke both of my ear drums. I learned very quickly having both ear drums broken was not health. I was not living under the blessings as promised by God. My parents didn’t have any money to take me to the doctor. All I could do was cry because of the pain. I could hardly breathe out of my throat because my throat was completely swollen shut due my tonsils being infected. If my parents had been walking in the promises of the Lord, they could have stood on the promises and done something about my health situation. Also if I had known my rights as a child of God, I

GRIEFS, SORROWS, TRANSGRESSIONS, INIQUITIES, AND CHASTISEMENT OF OUR PEACE Isaiah 53:4 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

would have known I could have received my healing. I could have believed for healing, if I had been trained in the Word of God. Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” The Bible says with the stripes Jesus received, we are healed from sickness and disease. Jesus took thirty nine stripes upon His back for our healing. Every stripe on His back represented any sickness and disease known or unknown to mankind. Any sickness or disease known or unknown to humanity or could ever come into existence, was taken on the back of Jesus. He took them on His back, so we could and would be healed now. The Bible also says Jesus took the chastisement of our peace upon Him for us. He was tormented mentally, so we could have peace. We never have to walk around any more wondering if we can have peace. When I was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1981, I came to a place of peace. I had never known such peace before in my entire life. My mind used to spin so fast I could not catch up with it. I had trouble thinking. I didn’t know if my mind was going around in circles to the right or to the left. I didn’t know if my mind was shaking or what it

TWO BLIND MEN Matthew 9:27 -29 27 “And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.” 28 “And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.” 29 “Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Healing is always conditional according to what we believe. Jesus told the blind men they were healed according to their faith. He never told them they were healed according to His faith. I can release my faith as a minister to someone who is a non Christian and they can be healed. An example of that was when I first was filled with the Holy Ghost. At that time over 300 people came to the Lord my first year of ministry on the streets. Everyone who I laid hands on received their healing instantly. When I laid my hands on them, they were not Christian. However, things changed when I started preaching in churches to Christians. At first I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. I 69

Jesus saw their faith said unto the man with the palsy to be of good cheer. He told him his sins were forgiven In this case, sin had open the door for the sickness and disease to attack this man’s body. However, this is not true in every case of sickness and disease. Sometimes the devil comes and attacks us. He tries to stop us from our mission on earth by trying to kill or destroy our life. The devil fears us getting too close to heaven and finding out the will of God. He doesn’t want us to have success because it would cause his camp to be destroyed. The devil doesn’t want you to know the power you have in the name of Jesus. He doesn’t want you to have the power of the blood of Jesus. He doesn’t want you to have the power of laughter. The devil knows that laughter is a weapon. It causes the devil to run. He is a defeated foe to be laughed at and trampled under our feet.

was doing. My mind was moving so fast, I had no peace until I was filled with the Holy Ghost. As soon as I was filled with the Holy Ghost, peace entered my heart and mind. My mind felt healing for the first time in my life. Peace is a wonderful healing blessing. Sometimes we have to shake our thinking and see what the Word of God really says. We have to believe the Word instead of what we are thinking. We cannot walk by our feelings either.

Chapter 7

HEALING IS NOT A FEELING Healing is not a feeling. Some people say, “If I feel healed, I am healed.” This is not a true statement. You are healed even if don’t feel like you are healed. If you have a stroke, you can proclaim you are healed, even though you may not be able to use your arms or legs. If you proclaim you are healed, I will guarantee you will walk off healed. There was a 78 year old lady from Austria, who had a stroke a year before I met her. Her whole body on one side was affected by the stroke. She would drag one leg, when she tried to walk. She couldn’t use one of her arms also. She lay in bed for three days. All she did was confess the Word. After three days, she got up from her bed totally healed. She believed the Word of God. Was she in pain? Yes, she had lots of pain. Did she look like she was healed, when she first got up from the bed? No, in fact she looked like the stroke was getting worse. Did she want to complain about what was happening to her? Yes, she did not desire to be in pain and unable to move her body freely. Did she want health? Of course she wanted to have good health. Did she want someone to help her? Yes, but there was nobody around to help her, but God. She was in a house all by herself. She knew God could and would 30

with sickness and disease because of the curse on the earth. The curse is still upon the earth, but it is not upon the people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The curse still has its right to run rapid through the whole earth, until the day that Jesus comes back and redeems us out of the earth. We have to judge ourselves so we will know when we have done something wrong and outside of the will of God. When we do sin, the curse can come upon us. This is why Jesus told the man with the palsy his sins were forgiven. He wanted the man to know he was free from the curse of the earth. He no longer had to live under the curse the devil was attacking him with. He was free from the mistake he had made. Sometimes Christians make mistakes and sin. This can open the door to sicknesses, diseases and the curse. God wants us to run to Him for forgiveness and He will stretch out His hand and heal our bodies. Not every sickness and disease is caused by a sin in our lives. We don’t always have to open a door to the devil. Sometimes we can have sickness and disease just because the devil is trying to stop us from doing the will of God in our lives. The devil is afraid of us reaching our full potential. He knows if we reach our full potential in Christ, he is in trouble. Healing doesn’t come just by chance. It comes because you do something about it. It comes because you walk in faith and operate in faith.

7 “And he arose, and departed to his house.” Did Jesus heal the man with palsy because of the Pharisees and Scribes or did He heal him because of the man’s faith? Jesus healed him because of his faith. The man with the palsy came to Jesus in faith. The Bible says Jesus saw their faith. The Pharisees and Scribes just happened to be there to challenge Jesus. Jesus knew what was in the hearts of the Pharisees and Scribes. He knew they were only there to challenge and discredit Him in the sight of the people. He wanted the healing of the man with the palsy to be a testimony for God. Therefore, He asked the Pharisees and Scribes a question to challenge them. He asked them if it was easier to say your sins are forgiven or rise up and walk? Basically Jesus told the man his sins were forgiven and now he was healed. What causes people to not receive healing? Usually people won’t receive their healing from God because they have a feeling of inadequacy or think they have done something wrong to cause the sickness or disease to come upon them. Most people who are sick think they stepped out of the will of God. They think they did something wrong and violated what God wanted them to have. About 90% of the time they haven’t violated anything. They are just living in a world that has a curse on it. The devil is always trying to attack Christians

heal her, if she used the Word of God. She received her healing because she believed Isaiah 53:4 and 5 and Matthew 8:17. Matthew 8:17 “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” What did Jesus take from us? What did He give us back in return? The Bible says He took our infirmities and our sicknesses. In order for you to have sickness and disease in your body, you have to take it back from Jesus. In order to get rid of sicknesses and diseases, you have to let God take it from you. You need to let God replace your sickness and disease with healing and health. He wants to replace your pain. He wants to heal you. It is His will to deliver you from every sickness and disease.

IT IS GOD’S WILL TO HEAL YOU

A MAN WITH PALSY

Have you ever heard anyone say, “I don’t know if it is God’s will to heal me.” In the past I read the Bible through and through trying to figure out where it said it was God’s will to heal a person. There is only one place, which says it is His will to heal. It says it very clearly it is God’s will to heal a person. There was a man in the Bible who question as to whether it was God’s will to heal him or not. He was a leper. He asked the question and Jesus gave him the answer. There are several examples in the Bible where people were healed, but at this particular place a man questioned God’s will to heal. Many people question if it is God’s will to heal them today. However, this man questioned it and received the answer, which still applies to us today.

Matthew 9:1 – 3 1 “And He entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.” 2 “And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” 3 “And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.” The Scriptures above show the Word of Knowledge in operation.

Matthew 8:1 and 2 1 “When He was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.” 2 “And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”

Matthew 9: 4 -7 4 “And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?” 5 “For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?” 6 “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.”

32 “Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” You don’t need much faith in order for God to work. When you start with a little bit of faith, you can start developing and planting the Word of God inside of you, then you can start exercising and it will produce results. Most people don’t exercise their faith in order to have it produce results in the area they need healing. If you need healing, you have to apply the Word. You have to apply the Word of God which is the healing salve for your healing.

The leper came to worship Jesus. This is a key to a person’s healing. What did the leper ask Jesus? He asked Him if it was His will to heal him. He knew Jesus could heal, but he wanted to know if Jesus was willing to heal him. Is there a difference between being made clean or being healed? In order to be made clean according to the Old Testament under the Jewish law, a person who needed to be made clean had to do certain things. If they had a sickness or disease such as a common cold, when they walked into a door and saw other people, they had to say, “Unclean. Unclean. Unclean. Unclean.” When a person heard another person say, “Unclean,” they would leave the room. It was against the law for another person to be around an unclean individual. The Old Testament Jewish law was in force in the days when Jesus walked upon this earth. Anybody who had any kind of sickness or disease, such as a common cold, ear ache, flue or toe infection was considered unclean. The man who came to Jesus had leprosy. He was considered unclean. He was not allowed to be around people. The evidence of his leprosy was affecting his body. It was very obvious that this man was unclean. What did Jesus do when the leper came to Him? Matthew 8:3 “And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying; I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

Does the Bible say, “Jesus put forth His hand, and did nothing?” No, Jesus put forth His hand and touched the man. Jesus said, “Be thou healed.” Do you know what happened next? Immediately the man’s leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:4 “And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, show thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” Jesus told the man to go and appropriate the finalization of his healing according to the law of the Old Testament. Even though the man was instantly healed, Jesus said he had to do things according to the law of the Old Testament. When we are healed today, we don’t have to do things according to the Old Testament law. All we have to do is appropriate the healing by our belief that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed.

Himself. He wanted the people to focus on God, not on a man or the preacher. That night in the service, people marveled at the healing power of god. They couldn’t believe what they had witnessed. They were shocked. Great faith began to arise in the people. I was not shocked or surprised at the move of God because I was expecting God to demonstrate with signs and wonders of His mighty power and glory in the service. I was expecting God to pull out His calling card and ring the dinner bell to entice His children to walk closer to Him in faith and belief. God wanted the people to know He did the miracle, not mankind. The two girls came to the meeting expecting God to heal them. They had faith. They did not need a man to lay hands on them. They were looking to God for His touch and they received it. They wanted to change their life and they received that change. How much faith does a person have to have in order to receive an outpouring of God’s healing power? The Bible says all a person needs is as much faith as a grain of mustard seed in order to receive from God. If you have that much faith, you can move mountains and cast them into the sea. Matthew 13:31 and 32 31 “Another parable put he forth unto them saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.”

Matthew 13:54, 57 and 58 54 “And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?” 57 “And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.” 58 “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” We really need to look at what the Bible is teaching, not what we want of think it says. The Bible says when people came to Jesus to get healed, some did not receive their healing because of their unbelief. Until a person has faith in their heart to receive healing, healing doesn’t take place. The gifts of healing can be in operation in a place, but a person still will not be healed because of the lack of faith on their part. When my wife and I were in a crusade in India, two girls who couldn’t hear nor speak were hit with the power of God in the service. Nobody touched them. We were just worshipping God, when the power landed on them. They were instantly delivered and for the first time in their lives they were able to hear and speak. The Holy Ghost did a miraculous thing in that service as an intervention to draw attention to

HAVING THE ZOË KIND OF LIFE For years I have studied the subject of healing in the Bible. I wanted to operate in the healing ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. I knew I was called into that part of the ministry. I knew my calling deep in my heart. It was very real to me. When you start studying the subject of healing, the devil comes to attack you with all kinds of sicknesses and diseases. The devil is going to find out if you really believe what the Word of God says or not. Sometimes when you start appropriating healing by the Word of God, the symptoms of sickness in your body get worse. A person might say, “Well, this healing stuff doesn’t really work. It cannot be God healing me because I am getting sicker.” The person needs to wake up and realize the devil is real. Jesus came to earth with a purpose to destroy the works of the devil. Anything contrary to the Word of God, such as sickness and disease, is contrary to God’s work in your life. The Zoë kind of life is working inside of you to bring healing and a cure for your life. It will cause you to have more of the abundance of heaven on this earth. God is not slack in His promises of His Word, if you will stand on them. God will produce the 35

fruit of what you believe. I Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed.”

Chapter 17

A DUMB MAN Matthew 9:32 – 35 32 “As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.” 33 “And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.” 34 “But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.” 35 “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and disease among the people.”

Do you know when you were healed? It was two thousand years ago. If you were healed two thousand years ago, why are you allowing the sickness and disease to stop you from walking in healing? The reason people are not walking in health is because they are not appropriating and applying the Word of God to that area in their life. They want to make everyone think God doesn’t heal today. Most Christians do not want to be responsible for what the Word tells them to do. They want some preacher to be responsible for their health. They might say, “I didn’t get healed because that preacher laid hands on me. I told you God doesn’t heal today. It is all the preacher’s fault for not doing it right.” I can lay hands on some person’s head until they turn bald and they still won’t get healed. It is because they don’t believe. Sometimes the anointing of God can be manifesting all over the room when I lay hands on people, but some of the people will not receive it. I can pray the prayer of faith and it will do no good for that individual

Does the above Scriptures say Jesus healed everybody? It says every person who came to Jesus with a sickness or disease was healed. Jesus wanted to heal everyone. He wanted everyone in His hometown to be healed, but He couldn’t because of their unbelief. When He went to His hometown, he could only heal some minor afflictions. His hometown would not receive Him. They became offended when He ministered to them.

is true. The highest level God wants for us is to walk in divine life. There are three stages God wants us to walk in. He wants us to walk in healing, health and divine life. He wants us to have longevity. Most Christians never develop themselves to walking in healing, so they can’t walk in health or longevity. The bottom line is, we need to develop ourselves, so as soon as something attacks our physical body, we take the Word of God and apply the salve of God’s Word to our heart, life and mind to start releasing the healing power into our body.

because that person is not in faith. Unless a person is non Christian, they cannot be healed with faith. A non Christian can be healed if they do not believe. They can be healed on my faith. The first year I was filled with the Holy Ghost, I laid hands on over 300 people and led them to Jesus. Every one of those people were healed instantly. They were non Christians. When I started preaching in churches, I had a problem. When I laid hands on a Christian, I couldn’t get anybody healed. I couldn’t figure out what the problem was in my ministry. One day I was praying and the Holy Ghost said, “It is not your fault the Christians are not being healed. They have to believe Me for their healing.” I had been beating myself over the head with condemnation because I was not having any results in getting people healed. I didn’t realize Christians had to believe for themselves in order to receive healing. After I went to Bible School, I learned what the Bible said about the subject of Christians believing and being healed.

HEALING DOESN’T HAPPEN BY CHANCE Healing doesn’t happen by chance. It happens because you go after it. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to destroy sickness and disease. I mentioned in Deuteronomy that every disease named and unnamed is under the curse. God wants everyone healed. He sent His Son for that purpose. There are sicknesses and diseases the devil will try to rename in our day and time . Sometimes we are not too smart and don’t catch on to the devil’s tricks right away. The devil does not create a new sickness or disease. He just manifests an old sickness and disease that was once in operation and renames it. A good example is polio which is trying to creep back up in America. It can’t creep back up in America. It is a stupid devil just trying to get people to accept a defeated disease. The polio demon is stupid and so crippled up it can’t do anything. This is why the disease is only able to deceive a few people into accepting it. It is just an imp from hell. Polio can’t creep back up in America. It has been defeated. It can’t creep back up in the world anywhere because it is a defeated foe. It is just a disease the devil is trying to bring back on the scene. It won’t work because too many Christians know their rights. The devil is 38

will produce healing. When you starting walking and believing God for healing in your body, you have to keep saying the Word of God out of your own mouth. As you confess the Word, the anointing will bring the healing and cure to your body. You don’t have to have hands laid on you by a preacher or special minister of God, for the anointing of God to come on the inside of you. The anointer is inside of you. Jesus lives and abides inside you. As you apply the Word of God, the anointing of God will become activated inside of you. It will start producing healing in your life the minute you stand on the Word of God You need to believe Jesus saved, delivered and healed you the moment you came into the kingdom of God. God has already provided everything for you, but you have to apply the Word of God. Do you realize no one can operate in anything outside of the knowledge they have? If you don’t understand or have knowledge in a certain area in the Word of God, you will not operate in it. A good example is this principal is in the area of prosperity. Some people never prosper because they never develop understanding in the prosperity realm. Healing is the same principal. You have to develop yourself in order to walk in divine health. You have to develop yourself in order to walk in healing. Do you know the lowest level God has for us is to walk in healing? This may sound strange, but it

sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”

defeated and healing can be manifested. Healing doesn’t come by chance, it comes by a Christian knowing their rights and believing the Word of God.

Jesus specified certain things that happened when the people came in faith. All the sick people who had divers diseases, torments or were possessed with devils were healed. Do you realize the same anointing Jesus ministered for healing was ministered for deliverance of devils? You don’t have to minister a different type of anointing for the healing of sickness, then for the deliverance from a demon. The anointing of God is in full operation for whatever the person needs deliverance from. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him. He also delivered them. If you need healing, the anointing will come if you will stand on the Word of God. The Word of God is anointed. If you apply the Word and it is abiding inside of you, the Word is anointed and will bring a healing and cure to your body and mind. The word “healing” means a cure or freedom from the sickness or disease. Healing is not always instant. Sometimes a person must go through a mending process in order to repair the damage done in the physical body. When you start applying the Word of God, healing instantly starts coming into your body to manifest your victory over the sickness and disease. It may not be over night, but the Word

TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR, BROKEN HEARTED, CAPTIVE, BLIND AND TO SET MEN FREE Jesus came with a purpose and an anointing. Do you know the Word of God is anointed? If you take the Word of God and apply it, the anointing from the Word of God will heal you. Your healing is manifest because you are trusting the Word. There is an anointing also that comes when the Word of God is preached on the subject of healing. When Jesus preached the Word of God, an anointing came and filled the room. Jesus had several purposes when He came to earth. Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” The first purpose Jesus came to earth to do was to preach the gospel to the poor. He wanted to 40

preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” Through Jesus, God healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases among the people, but not everybody was healed. The Bible doesn’t say everybody was healed because not everybody came to Jesus to be healed. Everybody who came to Jesus was healed. When people came to Jesus, they came in faith. However, not everyone came to Jesus in faith. Some people came just to see what Jesus was doing. Other people came to find something wrong with His ministry. They wanted to prove He was not from God, but from the devil. Therefore, not everyone who came to Jesus in His day was healed. There are preachers today who say, “Healing is not for today. It cannot be because Jesus didn’t heal everyone. If it was for today, everyone would be healed and no one would be sick.” This is a statement from religion. It is not what the Bible teaches. Jesus came with a purpose to destroy the works of the devil. He came to heal all manners of sicknesses and diseases. Everyone who came to Him in faith was healed. This was a great show of God’s love and mercy for His people. Matthew 4:24 “And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all

preach the gospel to the poor spiritually. The Bible was not talking about the poor financially. The word “poor” in the original Greek has nothing to do with poverty. It does have something to do with the spiritual state of being poor towards God. Everybody who is lacking salvation is in a spiritual state outside of where they should be with God. Their spiritual state in relationship with God is concsidered poor. Jesus was also sent to earth to heal the broken hearted. We have a lot of broken hearted people today. The world is cruel and the people in the world are cruel. The devil makes sure people are cruel to each other. We have many people living with a broken heart and stress today. People are stressed over their past, as well as their present situations. The Bible says God sent His Word to heal and deliver you from your destruction. The Word of God is what delivers and heals you. The Word of God will stop you from walking in destruction. Jesus also came to preach deliverance to the captive. Many Christians are captive in their thought life. They are also captive in their physical body. They don’t want to appropriate the healing to heal their physical body. About 90% of all sickness and disease is because there is something wrong spiritually. Either they need salvation or if they are saved they are not operating in their benefits and rights as a Christian. They have a door open to the devil. Each person needs to realize they are responsible for their health. God is not responsible

NOT EVERYONE GETS HEALED Healing is provided for everybody, but not everybody gets healed. It would be nice if everyone was and is healed. There would be no sickness or disease anywhere in the earth. I would love to see everybody healed. Do you know people get mad at God because someone gets sick or dies? They get mad at God when a person doesn’t recover from a sickness or disease. One thing we need to realize is a person who has been ill goes to a better place when they go home to be with the Lord. Just because they didn’t receive their healing or produce what we think they should produce in their life; we shouldn’t get mad at God. If we did our best to help the person to walk in faith of the Word of God and if the person did their best to walk in healing, the rest is up to God. In the next few chapters I will show you that God wants everyone to be healed, but not everyone gets healed. I am going to show you there were people who stood in faith for the promises of healing to be manifested in their lives, but never received the promise.

because He has already done what He is going to do for you. He has already provided for your healing. He sent His Son with your healing in mind. Jesus came to preach deliverance to the captive and recovery of sight to the blind. Do you know, people can be blind spiritually? They can be blind mentally as well as physically. I was blind in my mind before God set me free. I didn’t know how to read until 1981, when I was filled with the Holy Ghost. Whatever was blind in my mind from not being able to read, God took it out and healed it. He put me in the ministry, so I could preach today. I am a living witness to God’s healing power today. Jesus came to set at liberty the people who were bruised. Have you ever been bruised? Have you ever seen anybody bruised in the natural realm? The person may have fallen and hit their arm or body somewhere. Then a big black, blue and purple spot appears on the injured area. Sometimes a bruise in the natural, physical body hurts worse than a break in a bone. What if a person is bruised spiritually and mentally? Do you know how much it hurts? A bruise in the spiritual or mental realm hurts very deep. It may not show on the outside of a person’s body, but the pain of the hurt is very deep inside of the person. God came to heal the bruises in a person’s life. Jesus came for the purpose of healing our spiritual as well as our physical bruises. He came to set us free from pain and suffering. Jesus came to heal the whole man. He

if you have not been in that situation before. It is hard to understand what they are truly going through. A good example would be if you know of a person who has cancer. If you have never had cancer, it is hard for you to understand the pain they go through. They go through a lot of suffering dealing with that cancer. However, you can have compassion towards them and stand on the Word of God with them.. We can also have compassion to help them realize the importance of getting into the Word and applying the Word. This will cause them to see a picture of themselves totally healed and walk away from the sickness and disease. They will see themselves as being a great testimony for God. However, before you can help someone realize the importance of getting the Word of God inside of them, you must be convincing. You have to believe it yourself. If you don’t believe it yourself, another person is not going to believe what you tell them. They will never believe the Word of God, if you don’t believe it. You have to believe what the Word of God says for yourself in order for it to bring life to others.

Do you know every time a person who is going after healing becomes discouraged it is because of the issues of life which come out of their own mouth? Most of the time a person needing healing will not speak the Word of God. Their negative words stop the healing from being manifested in their life.

Proverbs 4:24 “Put away from thee a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.” What happens to your healing when you speak the negative words about the symptoms of the sickness or disease, instead of what the Word says about you? The answer to your healing is not in what the symptoms are saying about you. The answer is not in how you feel physically or mentally. The answer to your healing is what the Word of God says. It doesn’t matter what the condition or the symptoms are doing. You must have faith and believe that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed. You are healed now. This does not mean you will be healed in the great by and by. You are healed now! It doesn’t matter what your body says, you are healed now. You need to encourage people who need healing to operate out of their spirit realm of what the Word says, instead of out of the natural realm of what the symptoms are telling them. It can be a hard task to help someone to put their faith in the Word of God. Sometimes it is hard to understand what a person is going through,

GOD’S SALVE FOR HEALING Zechariah 4:6 “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” It is the Spirit of God coming along with the Word of God to produce the results the Word was sent for. When the Word is used; the anointing comes. The Word of God is the salve of God’s healing power. The Word brings the anointing because the Word is anointed. When you need healing, you apply the Word of God just like a salve on whatever area you need healed. You keep applying the salve on the area of sickness and disease. You also keep pressure on the area of sickness and disease until it dissipates and disappears or you no longer have anything wrong. The Holy Ghost prescription for your healing is for you to apply God’s healing salve. You have to apply God’s Word as the healing salve daily and maybe even hourly. You need to apply it every time you think of it. Jesus came to bring the healing and deliverance, but the bottom line is up to us as 44

Word into your daily life. The Word is life to your body. You have to apply the Word of God until you litterly have bypassed and brainwash your mind into believing healing is for you. If you do not get the Word into your inter man, your mind will reject healing. Your mind will say, “You have been sick so long, you cannot be healed. It is too late for you to be healed. Being healed is not logical for you. You don’t deserve to be healed because you are too old now. Your usefulness for God has passed. Healing is not for you today.” It doesn’t matter what your mind says; it matters what the Word of God says. If a person really wants healing, they are going to have to apply themselves to what the Word of God says. If a person really wants to walk free from a sickness and disease, they are going to do what the Word of God tells them to do. They must believe and have faith in the Word of God. Healing does not come because a preacher is preaching to them about the subject. The preaching can only teach a person a limited amount. The person must receive the Word deep inside of them. The preacher cannot make the Word go into your heart; only the person can receive and digest the Word for themselves. A person must shove the Word into their heart and mind. Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Someone once asked me about my testimony of how and why I learned to read. When I was filled with the Holy Ghost, I did not know how to read. I wanted to learn how to read, but I needed healing in that area of my life. Night and day, I used to constantly listened to Bible tapes. I would go to sleep with a tape playing in my bedroom. I did not use a headset to hear the tape. I would just turn the tape on and play it out loud all night long. As soon as one side of the tape finished playing, I would turn the tape over and listen to the other side. I would do this in the middle of my sleep all night long. I constantly listened to the Word of God because I wanted to be able to read. If you desire something or need a healing, you have to apply the Word of God. You have to make yourself pound the Word of God to get it deep inside of you. This is the way you will receive your healing or heart’s desire. I started picturing myself preaching before hundreds of people. God started showing me this vision in my heart. I knew I would preach some day and have great success. If you need healing you have to do the same thing. You have to it get deep into your spirit man. You have to see yourself healed and walking in good health. You have to constantly apply the

Christians to apply the healing salve of the Word of God. As we apply the healing salve of the Word of God, the anointing of God will bring healing, a cure to sickness and disease and a change in our life. God is not up in heaven saying, “Well, I want to give healing to this person, but not to that one.” He wants to give healing to everybody who wants to be healed. He is waiting for someone to take His healing salve. Christians must believe we were healed by the stripes Jesus took for us. They must believe with the stripes of Jesus they are healed now. As soon as we apply the healing salve to the area of injury in our life, God starts operating the anointing of God to manifest and produce healing. Now our physical as well as our spiritual realm can start mending and healing. There is a total difference between healing and miracles. When healing is applied, it will bring mending to the problem inside the physical body or mind. Healing is a stitching up process. It is just like a doctor patching up a person’s womb. Miracles are in the supernatural realm. They are instant and different from healings. Both come from God, but different characteristics are shown in both areas.

THE WORD IS LIFE

In this chapter, I want to thank our Heavenly Father for His covenant healing. It is good to lift our hearts and prayers in thanksgiving to our Father often. Father, I thank You according to the Word of God, You have granted us the power of Your covenant healing. As we lay hands on Your people according to I Peter 2:24, we can have the assurance of knowing by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. Father, as I lay hands on people in the Spiritual Realm, I proclaim Your healing to manifest now, because it is Your will for Your people to walk in healing and health. I proclaim Your covenant rights coming into existence in each person’s life. We thank You, Father, for the covenant healing coming into existence. We pronounce healing to any sicknesses, diseases, broken hearted, blind, poor or any ills of the devil to be gone in Jesus’ name. I speak to arthritis to pack its bags and leave the physical bodies now, in the name of Jesus. I speak to stress in the name of Jesus and command it to leave the physical bodies. I loosen peace to garrison a person’s heart and mind right now in the name of Jesus. I speak healing to come into hearts, in the name of Jesus. I offer up our

Proverbs 4:22 “For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” What is life? The Word of God is life. We are not to let the Word of God depart from our eyes. We are to keep them in the midst of us. They are life to us and health to all of our flesh. The Word of God is health to all of our flesh; spiritually, mentally and physically. The Word of God not only brings healing, but it also brings health and much more. III John 2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” The only way you are going to walk in healing is to place the Word of God constantly before your eyes night and day. God wants you in health as well as waking in prosperity. He wants you whole. You must meditate on His Word day and night to get it deep inside of you. Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt

The book of Proverbs talks a lot about getting wisdom. The Hebrew literally says you are to cause wisdom to be into you or pounded into you. Wisdom won’t come out of your mouth until you put God’s wisdom inside of you. It is the same way with healing. Healing is not going to come out of you until the revelation of healing becomes part of your life for that area. In order for a person to receive healing, you need to help them to step over to the arena of the spiritual realm. The spiritual realm is where healing is going to come from. However, in order to have healing manifested, the Word of God must be inside of a person. The Word must be pounded into a person, so the Holy Ghost has something to work with in order to paint a picture in their heart. A person must picture themselves as healed and walking free from sickness and disease.

thanksgiving to You, Father. I believe Your people have received your covenant healing in Jesus’ name. Amen. If you need healing today, just believe you have received it. I laid hands on a lady in Alaska one time. For many, many years she had arthritis. She was in great pain and it was very hard for her to move any of her joints. When I laid hands on her, she instantly was healed. She was ready to receive her covenant of healing from God. In just the same way, you can receive your covenant healing from God. You must have faith and believe the Word of God. You must truly believe Jesus came to earth with a purpose. The purpose was to defeat the devil and He did. Just say, “The healing of God is taking place in my body. I am healed from the top of my head, to the bottom of my feet and even to the tips of my fingers. I am healed because the Word says I am healed. I receive my covenant healing now.” The healing anointing is inside of you. It is bringing a healing, cure, amending and stitching of the things which need to be corrected right now. Just receive your healing and believe it is done in Jesus’ name.

Chapter 14

INSTALLING FAITH The greatest thing you can do for anybody is to instill faith in the area you want them to change. Without faith being instilled inside of a person, they cannot change or receive the manifestations of healings. It doesn’t matter how much you talk to a person, if they do not have faith, they will not get healed. If you cannot get the person convinced that healing is for them today, they will not receive their healing. The Bible tells us without faith it is impossible to please God. If you cannot get the person to realize faith is in their heart and picture they were healed two thousand years because of Jesus Christ dying on the cross, they won’t walk away from the sickness and disease they have. They will stay in the bondage of it. Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The more a person hears about healing, the more they are able to paint a picture in their heart to see themselves healed. You need to get people to paint a picture in their heart of walking in healing by developing the faith inside of them. They need to see themselves totally healed, healthy and blessed by God. If you can get a person to see themselves in

their own spirit man as healed, they will walk away from the sickness and disease and will never have a problem again. The problem with people who need healing is it hard for them to let go of the sickness and disease because most of the time they have been sick a very long time. The key is to get them to believe what the Word of God says, no matter what they think in their mind or heart. Proverbs 4:20 and 21 20 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.” 21 “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” When you are meditating on the Word of God, you are letting the Word of God become alive inside of you. You are constantly putting it into your heart and before your eyes. Healing is not going to come by chance, it is going to come because you applied yourself to what the Word said. You make healing come alive inside of yourself. You make it produce fruit in your life. You pound the Word of God inside of you to produce healing manifestations. Proverbs 4:5 and 7 5 “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.” 7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” 49
