The Body-in-White products include large component parts and assemblies, such as hoods, roofs, doors, fenders and other high quality “Class A” surfaces and assemblies, which are used to create the exterior skin of an automobile. This product portfolio also contains structural and other crash-relevant products, like floors, pillars, rails and wheel arches, which together with the exterior skin component parts and assemblies form the essential upper body structure of an automobile.
Gestamp has a wide range of Chassis products used to create the skeleton, or essential lower body structure, of the automobile and carry the load of the vehicle. Systems, frames and related parts, such as front and rear sub-frames and links, control arms and integrated links are the most relevant pieces of this product collection.
After the acquisition of Edscha in 2010, Gestamp has become a leader company in the production of mechanisms with a broad product portfolio that includes mechanical components such as hinges for doors, hoods, and trunk lids, door checks and door hinges and powered systems that allow automobile doors to open and close electrically and by remote activation.
