My colleagues at Wegmans like to point out that I began blogging long before the word (or the Internet) was invented. My weekly musings first appeared 39 years ago in our newspaper ad. When I joined Wegmans as the “voice of the customer” in late 1971 (after being a consumer educator with Cooperative Extension, first in NJ and then in NY), I was learning a great deal about the supermarket that I realized most consumers didn’t know. The column was my way to share each week what I was discovering goes on behind the scenes and shelves of our stores. In total, I’ve written about 2100 columns.
