 1.25SF through 100HP.

Neoprene gasket to frame.

 Use Premium grade silicon steel laminations. – C4 core plated* laminations to insure quality core and allow rewinds back to full efficiency.

 Bracket fits machined with reference to id of stator core to maximize stator to rotor concentricity and minimizing stray load losses and vibration. Typical vibration level is better than .08"/Sec

 WEG Coatings Paint system exceeds 200hrs ASTM 117 Salt fog corrosion test.

 FC200 High strength Cast

 Special Corrosion proof

iron Frame, Brackets, and Conduit box.

Drains in Both brackets.

 WEG Exclusive Wise Insulation system for long life on sine wave and VFD operation.

W22

Drain Reliable Operation Drain plug positioned at the lowest position. Its tough design provides high resistance against vibration and impacts.

Auto Drain / Plug All W22 Motors are fitted with rubber drain plugs that allow continuous condensed water draining from the motor (drain plug at open position IP55) and, depending on the motor application, the drain plug can be closed to ensure the degree of protection IP66 in the drain region.

End Shields The End Shield Designs Focus on Temperature, Noise and Mechanical Stiffness.  The drive end shield has a finned design for a better heat dissipation.  The non-drive end end shield has a smooth area, which contributes to noise level reduction.  The bracket to frame bolt area is reinforced to provide the motor with a stronger structure.  Grease channels from inner side through bearing for complete Lubrication every time.

Lubrication Systems – Effective for Long Life  WEG motors are designed using re-greasable bearings with bearing retainer caps and the exclusive Positive Pressure Lubrication System, (254T and larger Standard).  WEG uses large drive end bearings for long bearing life.  ExxonMobil PolyRex EM grease.

Sealing System Exclusive WSeal® Sealing System Motors in frame sizes 364T to 449T are equipped with the WSeal Sealing System. Composed of a double-lip V-ring and a metallic cap, it provides a high degree of protection against dust and liquids entrance to the motor bearings.

This metallic cap provides additional UV and mechanical protection.

W22 motors in frame sizes 143T to 326T are equipped with the proven V-ring seal operating on a machined surface for IP55 degree of protection.

Lubrication Systems Seals – Options Slinger  V-Ring  Umbrella Contact  Lip Seal  Oil Seal Labyrinth Seal  Taconite  Inpro/Seal  W3

Terminal Box

 The terminal box is oversized, allowing easier installation of leads and accessories.  Simple and adaptable technology through the use of an adaptor to mount the terminal box on top, left or right side of the motor on larger frames (447T up to 586/7T).

Cooling System  The ventilation system consists of fan, fan cover and motor fins.  The fan cover with aerodynamic design directs the full air flow over the motor while decreasing the noise level.  The fan design contributes to noise level reduction and also mechanical losses optimization.

Frame  447T up to 586/7T: The terminal box is on top DE of the frame. Consequently there is a single design to cover terminal box mounting on top, left or right side of the motor.  143/5T up to 444/5T: The frame has the cable outlet centered in the frame to maximize the installed base MRO compatibility.  All W22 series have solid feet suitable for high vibration level application and allow easy installation. Typical vibration level is better than .08"/Sec  Cast slots at base allow for special handling such as wall mounting.

Insulation System  All W22 (245T+) use very low loss silicon Steel with C4 coating.  Withstands burnout temperatures to 500C without efficiency impact.

Insulation System  Both coil heads securely laced for added strength.  The Continuous Flow insulation system, developed by WEG, incorporates Class H materials and provides a superior core penetration while virtually eliminating any trapped air bubbles.

W22

Electrical Design – Low Voltage WISE Insulation System®  W22 motors are fitted with WISE insulation (WEG Insulation System Evolution) which permits them to operate driven by VFD.  The WISE® is a system composed of: class H insulation wire (200°C), superior insulation materials and a solvent-free resin, (dip and bake 326T and smaller). VFD Capable per MG1 Part 31 High Performance Design  Exclusive lamination design (stator and rotor )  Aluminum squirrel cage die cast rotor

Strength  1.25SF 100HP and below (Most competitors 1.15SF) - The higher service factor supports good performance in adverse conditions such as, low line volts, overloads, Voltage imbalance… for superior reliability.  High Torque - WEG continues to offered some of the strongest motors in the industry, for trouble free application.

VFD Capability As Standard  Wide Speed Range As Standard: – 20:1 Constant Torque (NEMA Premium) – 1000:1 Variable Torque – 60-90Hz Constant HP (4-Pole and slower)  WISE Insulation Exceeding MG1 Part 31 for Voltages up to 575V.  Class H Wire and Varnish With Class B Temperature Rise.  Fan Cover has Center Knock Out for Stub Shaft Mounting.  Rigid Structure to Minimize Vibration.  Continuous Resin Flow Impregnation Eliminates Destructive Corona (364 and larger).  Div 2 on VFD Certified as Standard: – Class I Groups A,B,C & D – T3 – Class II Groups F&G

Nameplates  250 HP and below are dual rated for 50 and 60 Hz with the same power.  All ratings include Div 2/Zone 2 rating and IP 55 as standard  Bearing sizes in standard terminology.  Re-greasing recommendation.  Connection diagrams.  VFD Service.
